Love God for the Preparation of the Bride

Revelation 19:7-8 says, “Let us rejoice and exult, and let us give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And it was given to her that she should be clothed in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteousnesses of the saints.”

The entire Bible is a divine romance, a record of how God courts His chosen people and eventually marries them. The Lord’s recovery is for the fulfillment of Matthew 16:18 and Revelation 19:7-8—the building up of Christ’s church and the preparation of Christ’s bride. As God’s people love God and spend time to fellowship with Him in His word, God infuses them with His divine element, making them one with Him as His spouse, the same as He is in life, nature, and expression. (Thanksgiving Conference, Message 4, I, I.A,H)

Winter Training

The winter training will take place in next week, December 26–31, in Anaheim. The subject is the Crystallization-study of Ezekiel. Please pray that the Lord would infuse all the saints with His up-to-date burden through the live training messages and the webcast and video training in many localities, including Los Angeles. May the Lord advance in His recovery during this time!

FTTA Graduation

Forty-six trainees will graduate from FTTA on Saturday, December 24. Let us petition the Lord:

1) That the truth imparted into them in the past 2 years would become their constitution and experience;
2) For a rich supply in their transition from training life to church life; and
3) For their full participation in the recovery whether they serve or work or go to school.

Europe

In September 2015 some brothers realized that the large influx of refugees to Europe indicated that the Lord was moving. Throughout 2016 many saints visited or migrated to Germany to join with saints there in proclaiming the gospel and in shepherding new believers. The main shepherding effort concluded at the end of November but a few saints continue to labor with local saints in Germany.

The co-workers in Europe have been and are in fellowship about how to continue through the first half of 2017. Please beseech the Lord to lead them throughout this move.

At the winter training next week there will be fellowship about the Lord’s move in Europe. Please ask the Lord to anoint the fellowship and to open our ears to hear what the Spirit is speaking to us.

Europe: Winter School of Truth

The Winter School of Truth will be December 26–31. This is a full-time, six-day, residential event for young people. The general subject is “The Triune God and the Person and Work of Christ.” This truth school will be held simultaneously in the United Kingdom (for those from the UK, Ireland, Greece, Romania), in Spain (for Spain and Portugal), and the Netherlands (for all other nations in western and central Europe). The goal is to produce a group of young people in Europe who are constituted with the divine truths in the Word of God.

The long-term burden is to raise up truth schools one by one across Europe. Please pray that the Lord will give the European young people a hunger for the truth and will make the truth their inward constitution year by year.

Maturity in Life for the Readiness of the Bride

In the New Testament the word mature is used to refer to the believers’ being full-grown and perfected in the life of God, indicating that we need to grow and mature unto perfection in the divine life. We need to learn of the apostle Paul to pursue this growth and maturity in the life of Christ. (Thanksgiving Conference, message 3, IV.B,D)

“Not that I have already obtained or am already perfected, but I pursue, if even I may lay hold of that for which I also have been laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers, I do not account of myself to have laid hold; but one thing I do: Forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, I pursue toward the goal for the prize to which God in Christ Jesus has called me upward.” (Phil. 3:12-14)

FTTA-MA Training Graduation

The middle-age training graduation is Saturday, December 17, at 10 am in Anaheim; 46 trainees will graduate. The graduation is at the Ministry Conference Center and is open to all the saints. Please ask the Lord for a rich expression of Himself to visitors at the graduation, and for each graduate to live an overcoming life to “follow the Lamb wherever He may go” (Rev. 14:4).

Oak Glen

One year ago, the churches in Southern California acquired ownership of Oak Glen. This year, many saints and churches, including many from Los Angeles, increasingly utilized this property for blending and special fellowship in a retreat setting. In particular, at the November college conferences there, we were able to enhance our schedule and carry out more activities that help our students and perfect them. We continue to see many young lives revolutionized through their experiences at this camp.

Photos and information about Oak Glen are at https://oakglen.org.

As of November 30 our offerings were far short of the amount needed by the churches for the loan payment due this month. Thank the Lord for this purchase and ask Him to grace us for our extra giving toward this payment. As the Lord leads, please designate offerings for Oak Glen and put them in the offering box of the church in Los Angeles.

Europe

A two-page report on the present situation of the Lord’s move in Europe was made available at the Thanksgiving conference. It can be viewed or downloaded at http://www.lordsmove.org/information.html. The main burdens presented in this report are preparations for the Bible distributions, ITERO, and international blending in fall 2017, and the need to increase the facilities in London so that trainings can be enlarged in scope and in number of participants.

Krakow, Poland

There has long been a burden to raise up a lampstand in Krakow, a major educational and cultural center and the second largest city in Poland. In the past several years saints have gone there on a regular basis to distribute free ministry literature, including the English NT Recovery Version. Six full- timers recently relocated to Krakow. Please pray that the Lord will gain many seeking ones through their labor and that a golden lampstand will be raised up as the testimony of Jesus in Krakow.

India

From November 4–6 about 300 serving ones from over 60 localities in India attended a 3-day training. The general subject was “Returning to the Orthodoxy of the Church” (the subject of October’s ITERO in Australia). Our urgent need today is to return to the orthodoxy of the church, that is, to return to the unique Person of the glorious Christ as the Son of Man.

Two burdens presented during fellowship times were the translation of the NT Recovery Version into many different Indian languages, and encouraging brothers in each locality to send more young people to the training (FTT New Delhi), after which they can serve the need of the whole country.

A two-page report from India is at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

The Body of Christ, the Top Revelation of the Bible

“I also...do not cease giving thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of Him.” (Eph. 1:15-17)

We must pray for a spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we may see the Body of Christ as the top revelation of the Bible. (Thanksgiving conference., message 2, I.)

Southern California Spanish-Speaking Blending

Spanish-speaking saints in Southern California will have a blending time December 10 in clusters of churches in multiple places. We will be reviewing the four messages on “The Proper Way to Touch the Word of God”: 1. Read the Word, 2. Pray-read the Word, 3. Study the Word, 4. Speak the Word.

Pray that the Lord would keep the saints hungry to come to the word every day, not only to know and understand God’s desire, but to grow unto salvation, to pray-read the Word to be nourished by Him, to study the word and come to full knowledge of the truth, and to speak the word to impart Christ into sinners and fellow believers to build up the church as His Body.

Venice High School Bible Club

This year, there are six young people on the Venice High School campus who have begun reading the Bible together and meeting as a Bible club. Five of the students are sophomores and one is a freshman. Praise the Lord, through the young people, the Lord has attracted new ones who have been meeting regularly. Please pray:

  • That the Lord would continue to move on the Venice High School campus for His increase among and within many high school students;
  • That each meeting would minister life to all the students attending;
  • For the three new ones who have been attending regularly;
  • That the six young people involved in the Bible club to follow the Lord's leading for the direction of the Bible club week after week. (Venice does not have a saint who is a teacher as their club sponsor.)

UCLA Winter Blending Trips

This weekend, many UCLA students and full-timers will embark on two separate blending trips. Twelve saints will travel to Europe for two weeks to meet with the saints in London, Cambridge, Dublin, Madrid and Paris; 34 saints will visit Bakersfield, Fresno and Yosemite National Park for 5 days. Since these trips are not only for sightseeing but also for the building of the Body, we need the prayers of the church. Please pray:

  • For the Lord to build us more together and to fill this trip with the rich enjoyment of Christ as we pursue the ministry together;
  • For our blending with the saints in these cities;
  • That this trip would broaden our view of the world situation, enlarge our vision of the Body of Christ, increase our appreciation and burden for the Lord’s present move in Europe, and further blend and build up the members of the Body.

Bibles for America in Alaska

Saints in Anchorage, Alaska had distributions this summer at the Anchorage Market & Festival and this fall at the University of Alaska Anchorage. They gave away 2,059 Recovery Version NTs, along with 1,334 copies of Basic Elements of the Christian Life, vol. 1, and 822 copies of Spiritual Nourishment. Many any believers came and prayed with us and encouraged us during our distribution.

Praise the Lord for such a sowing! Please pray that the saints in Alaska would be richly supplied and that Bible and book recipients would be open for further shepherding. Please also pray that the Lord would stir in every person who received a Bible or book and draw them to seek after Him.

Spain and Portugal

The annual Iberian Peninsula Conference will be held in Madrid, Spain from December 9 to 11. Please pray for the attendance of the saints, the release of the Lord’s up-to-date speaking, and the blending of all the saints into the reality of the Body of Christ.

Germany

Please continue to ask the Lord for progress in Germany with the:

  • Supply of saints to labor in shepherding and perfecting of the refugee believers;
  • Raising up of some refugee as co-workers for the spread of this labor;
  • Gaining of native Germans from the labor on the college campuses;
  • Migration of experienced saints to strengthen the churches in Germany;
  • Preparations for Bible distributions next year around the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s posting of his 95 Theses (the nominal beginning of the Reformation).

Lord’s Move to Asia

The 2016 LMA Conference was held in Malaysia, October 18 to 20, with the general subject being “The Increase of Christ.” Saints from 23 countries participated in such a glorious gathering and witnessed the advance of the Lord’s move. A report from this gathering is at:

The Intrinsic Building Up of the Organic Body of Christ

“Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make an abode with him.” (John 14:23)

The Body of Christ is a divine constitution of the Triune God with the believers in Christ. The building up of the Body is the constitution of the Triune God and the tripartite man in the Spirit of God and the spirit of man. Such a constitution is a matter of divinity constituted into humanity to be man's dwelling place and of humanity built into divinity to be God’s dwelling place. (Thanksgiving Conference, msg 1, II.)

Lord, we love You! Constitute Yourself into us and build us into Yourself!

Fellowship unto the Furtherance of the Gospel

If we are faithful to Him, He will bless us. If we spend every ounce of our gold for His purpose, He will return to us not only by ounces but by pounds. This is to carry out the fellowship unto the gospel, the fellowship unto the furtherance of the gospel. The key point of this way is that every believer is a full-timer. Some drop their job to teach and preach, while some remain on their job to make money. We must encourage some to drop their jobs. We must also encourage some to make money and separate five percent monthly, purposely for the account unto the gospel. (from Material Offerings and the Lord's Move Today, Wk 4, Day 4).

“I have received in full all things and abound; I have been filled, receiving from Epaphroditus the things from you, a sweet-smelling savor, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. And my God will fill your every need according to His riches, in glory, in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:18-19)

Please pray that the Lord would free us from the deceitfulness and the bondage that the love of money brings - so that there will be food in the Lord's house (Mal 3:10), and so that there would be fellowship unto the furtherance of the gospel.

Rome

Construction for the new meeting hall in Rome is scheduled to be completed in early December. The saints are trusting in the resurrected One to meet all their needs for this property, which is for His move in Rome, in Italy, and in Europe. Those who are burdened to donate for this project can give through Lord’s Move to Europe (http://www.lordsmove.org/offerings.html) or to the church here. Please designate all gifts “Rome Meeting Hall.”

Germany

The government interviews for our new refugee believers have increased recently. Please ask the Lord to be their peace as they face the interviews, to rule over the judges, and to keep these believers hungry for the Word so they can better present their genuine faith before the judges, and to gain many remaining fruits through them.

We still need more Farsi translators who can facilitate our fellowship with the unsaved migrants and with new believers.

Ask the Lord to thrust out workers into the harvest of both refugees and native Germans, and to keep the door open for these saints to obtain visas to labor in Germany long term.

The Lord’s Word

Rev. 3:8 says, “You have a little power and have kept My word and have not denied My name.” The Lord’s word is the Lord’s expression, and the Lord’s name is the Lord Himself.... The return to the pure word from all heresies and traditions and the exalting of the Lord’s name by abandoning every other name constitute the most inspiring testimony in the recovered church. This is why the church in the Lord’s recovery has the revelation and presence of the Lord and expresses the Lord in a living way, full of light and with the riches of life (Rev. 3:8, note 3).

May we all seek and hold the Lord’s living and operative word, His light, and the riches of His life in attending the Thanksgiving conference or the videos. Lord, save us from the attitude of Laodicea (“I am wealthy and have become rich and have need of nothing”—Rev. 3:17). Lord, we need and we want more of You this week!

Thanksgiving Conference

The Thanksgiving Conference will take place this Thursday evening through Lord’s Day morning (November 24 to 27) in San Jose, California. Ask the Lord to richly anoint all the brothers preparing to speak and to open every heart to fully receive the word spoken. Also ask the Lord to supply the saints caring for practical aspects of the conference.

Bibles for America

This month Bibles for America launched a BfA Pinterest page. Pinterest is a social media platform with 110 million active monthly users who can “pin” items to their own pages and see items others have pinned. As people begin to pin BfA-related items, many others will have the opportunity to discover the Bibles for America website and order the free Bible and books.

Please pray that BfA pins would begin to spread among Pinterest users and that many would visit the website and order the Bible and books. May the Lord use such social media outlets to reach people where they are and draw them to Himself.

We invite you to visit the new BfA Pinterest page and pin anything you’d like to share with others (https://www.pinterest.com/cmjohnfinn/bibles-for-america). You can also find BfA on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

Germany

Please beseech the Lord regarding the following needs:

  1. The Lord’s leading about which Farsi-speaking saints could be perfected through personal care to
    become “faithful men, who will be competent to teach others also” (2 Tim. 2:2), and the Lord’s
    guiding the shepherding saints in carrying out this perfecting.
  2. The Lord’s enlarging of the local saints’ capacity to take over care of the many new believers as the
    majority of the shepherding saints leave Germany in one to two weeks, and all the saints entering into
    the burden to regularly visit the new believers and to invite them into homes.
  3. The Lord’s gaining local, young German students through the Bible table distribution, campus
    activities, follow-up appointments, and open homes.
  4. The Lord’s thrusting out workers into this harvest, particularly some who are mature in life and
    experienced in the church life and in service on the campus.

Polish Recovery Version

A team of saints has been laboring for almost four years to produce a Polish translation of the New Testament Recovery Version. The plan is to begin typesetting in January and conduct final proofreading in August 2017. Please pray that all who labor on this project will enjoy the Lord’s overshadowing grace and that the Lord’s interpreted word will be a great blessing to all Polish-speaking people.

“I Will Shake Not Only the Earth but Also Heaven”

“‘Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also heaven.’ And this word, ‘Yet once more,’ shows clearly the removal of the things being shaken as being of things having been made, that the things which are not shaken may remain. Therefore receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us have grace, through which we may serve God well-pleasingly” (Heb. 12:26b-28a).

Political events in recent months have shaken people. These shakings (for example, terrorist attacks, killings of and by police, the US election, the UK Brexit vote, etc.) are a prelude to the greater shaking mentioned in Hebrews 12. In the midst of this shaking, “let us have grace” that we may serve God well- pleasingly. May this service include a broader announcing of the gospel to all kinds of shaken people, that they may receive the unshakable kingdom.

Thanksgiving Conference

The Thanksgiving Conference will be November 24 to 27 in San Jose, California. Ask the Lord to richly anoint all the brothers preparing to speak and to open every heart to fully receive the word spoken. Also ask the Lord to supply the saints caring for practical preparations for the conference.

Winter Training Video Registration

The winter training is a time for us to receive the Lord’s fresh speaking. Registration is still open until December 1 for local video registrations (see Announcements below for details). In Los Angeles, we will hold simulcasts in different halls and languages from December 26 to 31; there will also be a delayed video training in Spanish starting January 1. Ask the Lord to release more saints from the affairs of human life to participate in this training. Ask the Lord to stir our hearts to pursue Him actively: “For it is God who operates in you both the willing and the working for His good pleasure” (Phil. 2:13).

Germany

Most of the visiting saints on the shepherding teams will be leaving Germany in the latter part of November. Ask the Lord for a sweet transition of care for new believers to those who remain in Germany, and for the continued establishing of these believers in the faith.

United Kingdom

The Autumn University Students Conference is November 18 to 20 in Wales. The subject is “Proclaiming the Gospel for the Fulfillment of God’s Eternal Purpose.” Lord, release the gospel on European campuses for Your purpose!

Four one-week trainings at Bower House began October 31 and continue until November 26. The subject is “The Four Great Pillars in the Lord’s Recovery: Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel.” Attendees include saints in the churches throughout Europe and also seeking ones contacted through the spread of the ministry and the campus work. There will be particular fellowship regarding daily life, practicing the vital groups, entering into the spread of the divine truths throughout Europe, fulfilling the Lord’s desire that we all would be fruit-bearing branches in the vine, and developing our function for the building up of the local churches. Please pray for the perfecting of the saints and the gaining of the seeking ones for the Lord’s recovery in Europe.

Wisdom for God's Building Work

“And Bezalel and Oholiab and every man who is wise in heart in whom Jehovah has put wisdom and understanding to know how to do all the work for the service of the sanctuary shall work according to all that Jehovah has commanded. And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every man who was wise in heart in whose heart Jehovah had put wisdom, even everyone whose heart lifted him up to come to the work to do it.” (Exodus 36:1-2)

Exodus...36:2 speaks of “every wisehearted man, in whose heart Jehovah had put wisdom.” These verses indicate that all the builders of the tabernacle were wisehearted. They all received wisdom and understanding from God.

According to 36:2, the builders were those whose heart stirred them up to come to do the work of building. This is to have a heart burning for God’s building. This burning heart stirs us up to participate in the building up of the church. We all need such a heart. This kind of heart is an inner motor motivating us to do the work of building up God’s dwelling place. (Life-Study of Exodus, ch. 171, sec. 2)

Spanish-Speaking Perfecting Training

Saturday will be the last of three days of this year’s training for Spanish-speaking saints in Southern California. The focus is on the practice of the God-ordained way by our cooperating with Him. For this we need to have the vision of the age to arrive at the high peak of the divine revelation; we need the God- man living by being discipled to be overcomers living in the kingdom; and we need to be shepherds caring for and feeding the flock of God. Lord, train us to be the dispensational instruments You seek!

Bibles for America

Bibles for America has made a new set of two free books available to the public via the BfA website. The Gospel of Life is a three-part book consisting of the entire text of the Gospel of John, followed by two articles: “The First Step in Living a Christian Life”; and “The Way to Experience God in the Gospel of John.” The Knowledge of Life looks at the believer’s need to possess and experience God’s divine life in order to fulfill God’s purpose.

Please pray that the Lord would operate in many people through these new titles and bring them into the experience and enjoyment of His divine life.

Germany

We have hundreds of names, and many consistent new ones, who come to Bible studies, small group gatherings, Lord's Day meetings, but very little one-on-one shepherding. We need more workers to migrate, open their homes, and shepherd these young believers.

Many of our new ones are being relocated all over Germany. We pray that as they are being relocated, they would continue to be seeds of the gospel wherever they are sovereignly placed. We also pray that there would be saints willing travel to visit and shepherd them. Under the Lord's administration, each of these clusters can become a local church.

While much effort is made with the refugee believers, beseech the Lord to also gain some local Germans, both students and working people.

Croatia and Serbia

Saints are currently meeting together to pray, fellowship, and read the ministry in the Croatian cities of Split, Hvar, Zagreb, Osijek, and Pula, as well as in Novi Sad, Serbia. Recently, a burden has arisen among the brothers in Split to take the ground there and start the breaking of bread. If the Lord leads, they would like to do this at the beginning of 2017. There is also a long term burden to organize a blending conference in Zagreb, the capital and largest city in Croatia.

Please pray for the Lord to add to the number of saints in each locality; to raise up a golden lampstand in all these cities; and to spread the ministry and the church life in these two countries and in all the Balkan countries. A complete report is posted at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer.

Turkey

Rhema brothers visited Istanbul in mid-October to explore channels for distributing refugee aids and literature to the refugees in this country. They also visited our local distributor. He can help to distribute both Arabic and Farsi literatures to the Christian groups he contacted. The distributor also mentioned that the response to our Turkish Rhema materials is very good.

Our local publisher is still proofreading The Normal Christian Faith. After that we can typeset the book and hopefully it can be published by the end of November. Please pray for every process involved in this publication.

India and Nepal

In August, there was a Three-Week Intensified Gospel Move in 6 cities in India. A total of 66 got baptized and 2 churches were raised up. Many new ones are from Hindu background. May the Lord strengthen all of them to be His testimony in these localities and raise up two more churches in the near future.

During the largest festival in Nepal from October 1 to 6, throughout the country people were busy in idol-worshipping. However, 30 young people, pure and loving the Lord, gathered for a six-day Youth Training. At the end, 20 consecrated to join the Full-Time Training. May the Lord gain them all to be the channels for His further move in Nepal!

The October issue of the LMA newsletter has more on both of these moves:

"Let the name of God be blessed from eternity to eternity, for wisdom and might are His. And it is He who changes the times and seasons; He deposes kings and causes kings to ascend." (Dan. 2:20b-21a)

“I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men; on behalf of kings and all who are in high position, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all godliness and gravity.” (1 Tim. 2:1-2)

The elections for the U.S. president and congress will take place next Tuesday, November 8. We pray to release on earth the authority of the “Ruler of the kings of the earth” (Rev. 1:5) for His choice of elected officials.

Southern California Young People

Over the last two weeks the young people in Southern California have been hearing a fresh word from the Lord at the junior high and high school conferences.

This past weekend the high school conferences covered the topic: Daniel - A Pattern of a Person Used by God to Turn the Age. Like Daniel and his companions, may all of the young people in LA be bold to stand with God by refusing to eat the king's choice provision, by joining themselves to God through His Word, and by pursuing the Lord with companions.

Please pray that the word released this weekend would continue to encourage, strengthen, and operate in each young person in the coming days.

an encouragement for prayer

In Col. 1:3 Paul says, “We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always concerning you.” In 1:9 he says, “Therefore we also...do not cease praying and asking on your behalf…" In 2:1 he says that they have never seen his face. May this encourage us likewise to pray for those we have never seen.

Rosendale, New York

On October 23, 137 saints and 22 children gathered to celebrate the first Lord’s table of the church in Rosendale, New York. After the Lord’s table meeting, which lasted 1.5 hours, the brothers gave testimonies of the Lord’s wisdom in bringing the saints in the Mid-Hudson Valley area together over the past two years. The brothers also shared their earnest desire to keep the oneness of the Spirit (Eph. 4:3-6), that the world may know the reality of Christ and the love of the Father (John 17:23).

Please pray for the saints’ stand on the ground of oneness for the Lord’s testimony and for the Lord’s blessing of life, growth, and multiplication. A two-page report describing the Lord’s move in the Mid-Hudson Valley is available at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer.

Leeds, England

The first Lord’s Table in Leeds was October 30. It was wonderful! We had the highest enjoyment. The saints in Leeds waited 10 years for this. So now there is officially a lampstand in Leeds! About 400 saints came from all over UK, Paris, and Taiwan. About 35 saints are from Leeds. Praise the Lord for His move in the UK!

Shepherding in Germany

Most of the visiting team members laboring in Germany to shepherd refugee believers will depart in the final weeks of November. This shepherding is centered in Berlin, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, and Düsseldorf, but also involves travel from these centers to places 30 to 60 minutes away. Some of the shepherding is in afternoon times when local saints are working. Please pray for a rich supply to the local saints and for the Lord's wisdom to the teams and local saints about how to have a smooth transition of refugee care from the teams to the local saints.

Pray also for the refugee believers to grow in grace and in truth.

Europe

Four one-week trainings at Bower House began October 31 and continue until November 26. The subject is “The Four Great Pillars in the Lord’s Recovery: Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel.”

Attendees include saints in the churches throughout Europe and also seeking ones contacted through the spread of the ministry and the campus work. Please pray for the perfecting of the saints and the gaining of the seeking ones for the Lord’s recovery in Europe.

Attendees will spend some time with FTT London and with the church in London or surrounding churches. There will be particular fellowship regarding daily life, practicing the vital groups, entering into the spread of the divine truths throughout Europe, fulfilling the Lord’s desire that we all would be fruitbearing branches in the vine, and developing our function for the building up of the local churches.

The Universal Priesthood

First Peter 2:9 says, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people acquired for a possession, so that you may tell out the virtues of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

“Among us, every saved one is a priest, a serving one. As such, everyone should preach the gospel directly to his family members, relatives, colleagues, schoolmates, and neighbors. This way of preaching the gospel is according to our appointment by the Lord to go forth and bear fruit (Luke 10:1-6; John 15:16). We are all branches of the Lord as the vine (John 15:5); as such, we need to bear fruit personally, not asking others to do it for us. We should visit people personally to preach the gospel and lead them to be saved and regenerated, and we should also nourish, teach, and perfect them.” (W. Lee, The Ministry of the New Testament Priests of the Gospel, ch. 1)

For the increase in the church in Los Angeles, we need to see who we are and exercise our priesthood. Pray that the Lord would gain us as a group of people who live in His presence by spending time with Him to be filled and saturated with Him. Pray for each saint to be connected with a companion to pray for the Lord’s interests on the earth. And pray for our church life to be filled with much begetting, nourishing, perfecting, and building so that both we and the Lord would be satisfied.

“We have to see that if the one-talented ones do not rise up to serve, there is no way for the church to go on. The priesthood is a universal priesthood. This is the greatest recovery of this century.” (W. Nee, The Resumption of Watchman Nee’s Ministry, p. 338)

Children’s Work Perfecting Conference

“We must realize that the children’s work is a crucial burden. Every locality must be aggressive in the children’s work, because there is a greater future in the children’s work than in the campus work. Generally speaking, it is easier to bring in children, and once they come in, they usually remain. Our history confirms this fact.” (Crucial Words of Leading in the Lord’s Recovery, Book 3: The Future of the Lord’s Recovery and the Building Up of the Organic Service, pp. 218-219)

There will be a perfecting conference for parents and those who serve with the children on Saturday, November 5 from 9am to 12pm at the church in Diamond Bar meeting hall. The first session will cover matters related to being parents and the second session will be about the children’s work in the churches. Registration deadline is October 30. Donation is $15; no lunch provided. Details at SCYP.com.

High School Conferences

The Southern California high school conferences are October 29–30 in Irvine (brothers) and Anaheim (sisters). From LA, we are expecting 20 young brothers (plus 4 serving ones) and 12 young sisters (plus 8 serving ones) to attend.

L.A. Intercollegiate Meeting

This Saturday, October 29, 6-9 pm we will have our Los Angeles joint college meeting at CSUN. Please strongly pray for: (1) many college students to be released to come from all parts of Los Angeles; (2) solid blending and relatedness to be built up among the different campuses; and (3) the strong release of the spirit and the Lord’s fresh speaking. May the Lord perfect us into one so that more in Los Angeles may believe into the Lord Jesus (John 17:21)!

Southern California ITERO Review

This Saturday, October 29, there will be an important all-day gathering (9 AM to 9 PM) in Anaheim for the elders and responsible brothers in Southern California. The primary purpose of this gathering is to review the nine messages from the recent ITERO in Australia. Please pray for this time, that the Lord would bless the fellowship among all the brothers for the building up of the churches here.

Winter Training Registration

The winter training is a time for all the saints to receive the Lord’s fresh speaking. Ask the Lord to release more of us from the affairs of human life to participate in this training in Anaheim or in the webcasts in LA. We believe “that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Heb. 11:6). At the same time, we know that “it is God who operates in you both the willing and the working for His good pleasure” (Phil. 2:13). Ask the Lord to stir our hearts to pursue Him actively.

Leeds, United Kingdom

After many years of prayer, the saints in Leeds will take ground and hold their first Lord’s Table on October 30. Please pray for a strong beginning to the church life in Leeds, with many saints attending from throughout the UK.

The Exercise of Our Priesthood

“You yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house into a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ” (1 Pet. 2:5).

“Today in the Lord’s recovery the greatest need, the primary need, is to gain the increase. A house cannot be built without materials. We need to save sinners through the preaching of the gospel that they may become material for the building up of the church as the house of God (1 Tim. 3:15)” (Fellowship concerning the Urgent Need of the Vital Groups, p. 182).

For the increase in the church in Los Angeles, there is a need for all of us to be priests. Pray for all the saints to exercise their priesthood in the following ways:

  1. Coming to the Lord and spending time with Him.
  2. Praying with a companion for the Lord’s purpose on this earth.
  3. Practicing the God-ordained way of begetting, nourishing, perfecting, and prophesying (building).

Junior High Conferences

The Southern California junior high conferences are October 22–23 in Fullerton (brothers) and Diamond Bar (sisters).

Spanish-Speaking Conference

On Saturday, October 22 in Anaheim, there will be a special time of fellowship and perfecting for the Spanish-speaking saints in Southern California. This conference is open to all the saints in the churches
and there is no need for registration or donations. Child care will not be provided.

4:00–6:00 pm First Meeting
6:00–7:00 pm Dinner Break (bring your own food and water)
7:00–9:00 pm Second Meeting

May the Lord bless this special time with His presence and speaking. Pray for many saints to attend and for the word of God which they will hear to operate in them (1 Thes. 2:13).

Bibles for America

Each month, approximately 4,000 Bibles and 16,000 Christian books are ordered through the Bibles for America website. We praise the Lord that so many have taken the opportunity to discover the riches in the Word and the ministry. Please pray that many people would continue to discover the BfA website and order the free New Testament Recovery Version and ministry books. Please also pray that those who have already ordered would open up their books and receive the supply of light and life in the Word.

European Brothers’ Training and Blending Conference

Brothers from the churches in Europe will gather in Baarlo, Netherlands for a three-day training (October 18–20). The messages will be a repeat of the most recent ITERO, October 6-8, in Australia. Our
goal is that the Lord will make us all able ministers of the New Testament, effective building material for the universal Body of Christ, and good stewards and serving ones in our respective local churches.

Following this training, saints from all over Europe will gather at the same location for an international blending conference (October 21–23). Lord, gather many saints for more constituting with
Your truth, more infusion of life, more vision of Your move in Europe, and more blending.

Pray “that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified” (2 Thes. 3:1). Also pray that the burden of the Lord’s speaking in the fall ITERO will be imparted into the leading brothers in Europe and that the saints in Europe will be further blended together in the Lord’s up-to-date speaking in the conference.

Krakow, Poland

There has long been a burden to raise up a lampstand in Krakow, a major educational and cultural center and the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. By the end of October, six full-timers who previously served in the UK will relocate to Krakow and will begin to serve there. For many years the saints in Poland have been praying for Krakow, and in the past several years groups of saints have gone there on a regular basis to distribute free ministry literature, including the English New Testament Recovery Version. Please pray:

  • That suitable housing will be found for all the full-timers;
  • That all the full-timers will be blended together in prayer and fellowship to serve in one accord;
  • That the labor of the full-timers, in coordination with the local saints in Krakow, will be under the Lord’s blessing and will be fruitful in bringing local seeking ones and students into the church life;
  • That a golden lampstand will be raised up as the testimony of Jesus in Krakow.
