A Desperate Need for Growth

Hebrews 6:1 says, “let us be brought on to maturity.” At the incense altar we pray for growth unto maturity that many may be qualified for the formation of an army for God’s move on earth.

Southern California Spanish-Speaking Conference

The annual conference for Spanish-speaking saints in Southern California will be held in Anaheim from January 15 to 17. At the same time, we will have a Young People’s Conference and children’s meetings. Details in English y español are at http:www.churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

LA and Santa Barbara Campuses

This week is the beginning of a new school term at many of our local colleges and universities. As the new year begins at UCLA, pray for all the saints to be refreshed and open to the Lord concerning those around them (friends, family, classmates) to each bear at least one remaining fruit, wherever they are.

At USC, LA City College, and other downtown campuses, there will be a pre-semester fellowship on Lord’s Day, January 10. Please pray for the core students to be built together in an actual and practical way, beginning with this time.

CSUN does not resume classes until late January, but will join UC Santa Barbara for a few days this week at the gospel table, meet new students, and blend with the saints. Pray for the Lord to gain a solid base in Santa Barbara for the increase of His testimony there.

For all these campuses, please pray for the Lord to:

  • Increase the prayer that is according to His heart for these campuses among the saints and students.
  • Cause definite and actual growth, more than ever before, in each student.
  • Keep our students freshly “painted” with the anointing day by day so that they spontaneously “paint” their family, friends, classmates, and contacts throughout the school term.

Bibles for America

Bibles for America gave away roughly 110,000 Bibles in 2015, more than in any single year since we began in 2000. We praise the Lord for bringing so many spiritually hungry and thirsty people into contact with our free offers and giving them the opportunity to order.

Please join us in praying that the Bible and book recipients of 2015 would be drawn to read, savor, and enjoy the Word and the ministry they’ve received. Please pray also that the Lord would continue to increase the number of orders in 2016 and that He would lead BfA into new and ever more effective ways to reach people with the healthy spiritual food.

We invite you to visit the Bibles for America 2015 Year in Review to see encouraging recipient comments, statistics, and highlights from this year: http://biblesforamerica.org/2015/

Germany

About 200, mostly trainees and some serving saints, will participate in the FTTA gospel trip to Germany, January 21 through February 4. They will be joined by saints in Germany and from other European nations. It is anticipated that most of these will contact the refugees from the Middle East. The trainees and local saints may also distribute the NT Recovery Version in German to the German-speaking people. Much may happen in this time with the refugees and the local people.

Some in Anaheim are participating in short-term intensive Arabic and German language classes before the trip. Also, before the gospel trip some saints who are currently serving in the UK will move permanently to Germany. Please pray for:

  • The move of the full-time serving ones from the UK to Germany.
  • The contact with new seeking ones among the refugees and the shepherding of the seeking ones who were contacted in the past.
  • The free mass distribution of literature and the response among both refugees and Germans.
  • The release of saints who are proficient in the Arabic, Farsi, and German languages.
  • The salvation and gaining of the Lord’s chosen and called ones, especially the useful ones and the young ones.
  • The Lord’s protection of His present move from the attack of the evil one, Satan.

Follow-Up Gospel Trips to Germany

After the FTTA gospel trips, follow-up gospel trips to Germany have been proposed from February 14 until July 1. The two main purposes of these trips are to shepherd the new contacts and to distribute Bibles. Further information can be obtained by reading the two pages on Follow-up Trips to Germany at www.churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/ and by e-mailing germany2016@amanatrust.org.uk. Please pray for the Lord’s clear leading in finalizing the plans for these trips.

India

The FTTA gospel trip to India is January 8 to 25.

Video Trainings

Please remember the video trainings that take place in many localities after last week’s live training and simulcasts. In Los Angeles, there are video trainings now at Hall 2 in English, Korean, and Spanish. Pray for the saints’ hearing, receiving, and absorbing of the Lord’s speaking.

Southern California Spanish-Speaking Conference

The annual conference for Spanish-speaking saints in Southern California will be held in Anaheim from Friday, January 15 to 17. At the same time, we will have a Young People’s Conference and meetings for the children. Details in English y español are at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

Germany

Approximately twenty saints will migrate to Germany before January 18, with about five each to Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, and Stuttgart, each of which already has saints meeting. These teams of saints will become a base for contacting and shepherding the refugees and Bible recipients, and will receive the saints on the gospel trips after the FTTA trip.

Mass Migration out of the Middle East into Europe

Almost 200 trainees and serving ones will visit Europe for two weeks in late January and early February. It is anticipated that most will be sent to four key cities in Germany to contact the refugees from the Middle East who have been settled in and near those cities.

To prepare for this trip, FTTA is offering a three-week short course in Arabic and German. The course begins this Monday, December 28, and has 4 hours of instruction and practice per day for each language.

Concerning the free mass distribution at the Greece/Macedonia border, please pray:

  • for continued favor and good relations with the owners of the gas station near the border, that we could continue to distribute to the buses there; also with police and other authorities.
  • that the bus drivers would continue to be open to what we are doing—especially for J., a Russian- speaking driver seeking more contact, that he would be an inside information source regarding bus movements, etc.; also for a schedule that would maximize the probability of finding buses for distribution.
  • for the gospel contacts’ progress, and for many more in the future. May our Lord cover us from those that would hinder us from carrying out His work and hide us from the enemy.
  • that the mass distribution door will remain open.
  • for the 3rd distribution phase (Dec. 29 to Jan. 7); that the next team will enter into the labor that has gone before and that the Lord will cover and preserve each one who labors here on His behalf.

Iberian Conference Report

From December 4 to 6, 303 saints from 14 countries gathered in Madrid, Spain to enjoy the messages from the Thanksgiving Conference on “The Church as the Temple of God—The Goal of God’s Eternal Economy.” The atmosphere was filled with the exercise of the spirit and a yearning from within the saints to advance in the divine life and go on from the tabernacle church life to the temple church life. After the last message, the saints’ response was “for the Lord to give us a heart for this” and to be those who see the vision and live as divine and mystical persons in the divine and mystical realm.

Although not many refugees are going to Spain, the brothers encouraged all the saints to pray that many of these ones would be saved to become members of the Body of Christ. May the Lord gain our prayers for His advance and for His up-to-date move.
The full report is available at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

Thessaloniki, Greece

While the saints in Thessaloniki have been heavily involved with the distribution of ministry materials to the refugees passing through Greece, they remain just as burdened for the establishing of a lampstand in their city. Their hope is that even as they labor for this current move, the Lord would simultaneously bless His move in Thessaloniki. They are also in the process of acquiring a meeting place that is 5 minutes’ walk from the university. If purchased, this venue would be immediately useful for the distribution teams. The saints treasure the prayers of the Body. Please pray for:

  • the Lord’s leading concerning this property, that all the doors that need to be opened would be opened.
  • all new and existing contacts, that they would be strengthened, encouraged, and even enlarged in their vision as they participate alongside the saints for the distribution.
  • the Lord’s move in Thessaloniki and the establishing of a lampstand there.
The full report is available at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

Winter Training

Please remember the live training this week, December 21–26, in Anaheim, as well as the webcast
and video training in many localities. Pray for the saints’ hearing, receiving, and digesting of the Lord’s up-to-date speaking, not only during the meetings but even in dinner-time fellowships. May the Lord infuse His recovery with His burden from the book of Exodus!

Oak Glen (from the brothers who coordinated the purchase)

The escrow for our purchase of Oak Glen closed December 18. We thank the Lord for His rich
grace shown in the generous offerings of the saints and the churches.

Now we encourage the saints to use Oak Glen for conferences and retreats. The pattern of going to the mountains for a time of separation, revelation, and consecration was set by the Lord Jesus with His disciples. It is our hope that Oak Glen will be used by all ages and that it will increase the blending of the churches in Southern California.

We need to look to the Lord for additional giving to pay the remaining balance of $6,410,000 in the next two years. We are preparing plans for renovation of the gymnasium (to accommodate 500+ for meetings), the addition of bathrooms to the main lodges, and replacement of some of the mobile homes. Continue to pray for the Lord’s wisdom in development of this conference center.

Southern California Chinese-Speaking Gospel Report

Thank you very much for your prayers. We had a very glorious semi-annual Southern California Chinese-speaking gospel at Arcadia on Saturday, December 12. Fifty-two received the Lord (30 new
brothers and 22 new sisters) and were baptized into the Triune God.

The meeting went very well with the Lord’s strong presence. The saints formed prayer group
teams throughout the gospel time from 4 to 6 pm and from 7 to 8:30 pm. The prayers afforded the Lord a way to come in to bless the whole time. The attendance was over 700. Praise the Lord!

Europe and the Refugees

The fields are white, but it is a tremendous price for these refugees to come out of their culture and religion. Please pray that the refugees could not only hear the gospel and be saved, but also that many could have a solid entrance into the building work in the local churches. We are also praying that the Lord would also gain something among the native Germans at this time, to spread His testimony across the leading country of the European Union.

Saturday, December 12 we had fellowship with 70 to 80 saints from the German-speaking countries plus about 40 from the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and the UK. We felt there was a good response from the German-speaking saints and a oneness and one accord with this burden. We are encouraged by this since they will bear most of the burden in caring for and shepherding these migrants into the church life.

Please continue to remember this move of the Lord in your prayers. We are still before the Lord regarding how we will meet this great need. We appreciate you standing with us.

Arabic Gospel Radio on the Internet

As part of our response to the refugees going to Europe, the recovery began a 24/7 live-streaming Arabic-language gospel radio, http://zblogs.org/radio/hurriatyradio.html. Please pray for this. It is available anywhere in the world, including Arab countries. May much faith be produced in those who hear!

Winter Schools of Truth in Europe

The Winter Schools of Truth will be held simultaneously December 26 to 31 in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Spain.

Announcements

A Sweet-Smelling Savor

Phil. 4:18, “...the things from you, a sweet-smelling savor, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.” First God wants us, then He wants what is ours. We ourselves have to come to Him first before we can bring what we have to Him (Week 3, Day 1). The sweet-smelling savor is first Christ Himself (Eph. 5:2), then Christ experienced by us (Rom. 12:1-2), then what we give as a result of experiencing Christ.

Winter Training

Ask the Lord to prepare the speaking brothers during their labor on the messages. Also ask the Lord to prepare all who have registered to attend and to be good listeners and absorbers of the word.

FTTA Graduation

The FTTA graduation is Saturday, December 19 at 9:30am. Ask the Lord to keep every graduate pursuing Him as they leave the training atmosphere, and to follow Him into a proper church life for their further serving and growth in life.

Europe and the Refugees

The refugee situation in Europe is a big door opened by the Lord. Only once a generation does the recovery see such a mass of hungry, seeking people. Please continue to pray for the:

  • response of all the saints to the fellowship released during the Thanksgiving conference.
  • Lord’s clear leading concerning the way to carry out the Lord’s present move in a coordinated way.
  • free mass distribution of literature and the response of the seeking ones.
  • participation of saints who are proficient in the Arabic and Farsi languages.
  • salvation and gaining of the Lord’s chosen and called ones, especially the useful and young ones.
  • Lord’s protection of His present move from the attack of the evil one, Satan.

An overview, titled Europe and the Refugees, is at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/. The streaming Arabic language internet broadcast, with reading of The Economy of God and hymns is at http://amanatrust.org.uk/radio/myfreedom/v2/.

Floods in Chennai, India

Earlier this month, the heaviest rainfalls in more than 100 years affected large parts of the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, a city of 4.6 million. In most of places there is no power, 60 percent of mobile towers are not working. Some saints’ homes are flooded and they are staying with saints. Please pray for:

  • The saints in Chennai to be preserved from flood and sickness, for the sake of His testimony.
  • The practical church life need to be recovered.
  • The spreading of the gospel of the Kingdom among people of Chennai and Tamil Nadu
  • The Lord to head up the clean-up effort so that His interest will be accomplished.

... Until Christ is Formed in Us

Galatians 4:19, "My children, with whom I travail again in birth until Christ is formed in you."
The burden of the Thanksgiving conference is that we advance, that we move forward. We must move beyond knowing and appreciating to experiencing. We must make definite progress from the wilderness (the soul) to the good land (the mingled spirit), because only here does Christ get formed in us as the materials for the temple, the solid and stable church life. (based on opening word of conference message 5)

Lord, Be Our Treasure, Gain Our Heart and Our Love

Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
Matthew 6:24, "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."

Gospel

The semi-annual Southern California Chinese-speaking gospel forum, dinner, and gospel preaching meeting will be held at Saturday, December 12, 4 pm to 8:30 pm at the meeting hall of the church in Arcadia (630 E. Live Oak Ave, Arcadia, CA 91006). Please invite Chinese-speaking gospel friends to attend and pray for the Lord's blessings.

Middle-Age Full-Time Training

Saturday, December 12 thirty-five trainees will graduate from the Middle-Age Training. Please pray for 1) the Lord's rich dispensing to all who attend the graduation, 2) the graduates following of the Lamb wherever He may go after graduation, 3) the current first term trainees to continue to their second term, 4) more than 35 new trainees to begin in March.

Oak Glen

The closing of escrow for Oak Glen has been delayed to December 9th to give the seller time to complete their requirements. Soon after closing, work will begin on refurbishment of the gym to accommodate more than 500 people for meetings.

You may give for Oak Glen at any time, because after closing of escrow we will be paying off a two- year loan from the seller for 80 percent of the purchase price.

College and High School Final Exams

Our college and high school saints are entering finals this week and next. Please pray that they would come to the Lord to find rest (Matt. 11:28-30) and be His shining testimony to their classmates as they study together that the gospel may flow (Matt. 5:14-16).

Refugees in Europe

The refugee situation in Europe is a big door opened by the Lord. Only once a generation does the recovery see such a mass of hungry, seeking people. An overview, titled Europe and the Refugees, is at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

A report from saints in Germany, where the majority of refugees are going: Since late September we have had four rounds of visits to Germany from teams of saints coming to contact the recent migrants from the Middle East. We visited many migrant camps all over Germany and get to know some of the migrants. These people, especially the ones coming from war-torn countries, are open to our visitation.

They have endured much suffering in their home country as well as in their journey to Europe and settlement in Germany, but by the Lord's mercy He has brought them to Germany to hear the gospel. Many ask us to return and visit them again. At this point we have groups of open contacts awaiting our revisit virtually all over the country. The more camps we visit the more open doors we are able to find.

We realize it is a Body matter regarding what the Lord would do among this group of people both in our prayer as well as in our going, contacting, and shepherding them. Some topics for prayer:
- the Lord's leading the brothers in their fellowship of how to meet this need;
- the door to all the migrants to remain open and for many to come to definite salvation;
- that this migration open the German people to the gospel;
- the burden to pray, to give, and to go to Europe be borne by churches and saints around the earth.
If you want to participate in prayer for specific refugees, please send an email to pray@AidMyFreedom.com .
If you want to participate in oral or written translation with Arabic, Farsi, or European languages, please go to http://participate.AidMyFreedom.com.
If you want to join a gospelizing and shepherding team in Europe for a few weeks or longer, please go to http://participate.AidMyFreedom.com.

We Pursue

Philippians 3:12-14, “Not that I have already obtained or am already perfected, but I pursue, if even I may lay hold of that for which I also have been hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers, I do not account of myself to have laid hold; but one thing I do: Forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, I pursue toward the goal for the prize to which God in Christ Jesus has called me upward.”

The temple as the enlargement of the tabernacle signifies the strengthening and stabilizing of the church, and the renewing and enlargement of the furniture in the temple signify the renewing and enlargement of the saints’ experience of Christ. (Thanksgiving Conference, msg 1, III.B)

Although Christ Himself cannot be enlarged, our experience of Christ in all His riches, as signified by the temple and its furnishings, should be greatly increased and enlarged to match His enlarged expression. (Thanksgiving Conference, msg 3, I)

Lord, we give ourselves freshly to pursue You for this strengthening, stabilizing, renewing, enlarging, and increasing for Your “temple expression.”

Europe

The Lord is answering the prayers for middle east and Israel, but not as we thought He would. The first 4 seals in Revelation are the four horses—gospel, war, famine, death. The three negative horses displace people so that the white horse can run. People are being opened to the gospel according to a Biblical principle—Abraham was called out of his father’s house and out of his father’s land.

The outcome in Europe depends very much on the prayer of the saints and churches. There is no doubt that the Lord as the ruler of kings of earth is in charge of world situation today. But at the same time we must be at the incense altar to cooperate with Him. We need to pray that the white horse runs in this current situation and that the Lord’s testimony in Germany be revived.

Please pray for:
- the Lord’s guidance to the brothers fellowshipping about our response to the situation in Europe;
- the cherishing and nourishing of 100 people in Germany who in recent weeks asked for further visits;
- more saints to be burdened for participation in continuing trips to Greece and Germany;
- fellowship at FTTA about how to conduct the late January to early February gospel trip to Europe.

Iberian Peninsula Conference

This annual conference will be in Madrid, Spain from December 4 to 6 and is open to all saints. Messages will be in English with translation into Spanish and Portuguese. Please pray that the Lord would richly bless this time.

Asia

The 2015 Fall Lord's Move to Asia Conference was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from October 27 to 29, with the general subject being “The Local Churches as the Testimony of Jesus." Saints from 22 countries participated in a glorious gathering. A report and photos from this conference are at: http://lmasia.org/temp/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/E-2015-11.pdf (English) and http://lmasia.org/temp/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Asia-2015-11.pdf (Chinese).

Thanksgiving Conference

The Thanksgiving Conference will take place this week from Thursday night through Lord’s Day
morning (November 26–29) in Jacksonville, Florida. The subject is “The Church as the Temple of God— the Goal of God’s Eternal Economy.” Ask the Lord to richly anoint all the brothers preparing to speak and to open every heart to fully receive the word spoken. Also ask the Lord to supply the saints caring for practical preparations for the conference.

Bibles for America

Last week, Bibles for America released the fourth in a series of videos based on the Basic Elements of the Christian Life series. The new video, “The Precious Blood of Christ,” shows the effectiveness of Christ’s blood in three directions: toward God, toward man, and toward Satan. The previously released truth videos cover the assurance, security, and joy of salvation and have been viewed over 20,000 times in 140 countries and territories. They have also been shared thousands of times on Facebook. Through the Internet, these videos reach not only BfA Bible recipients but also people who have never heard of BfA and are searching for spiritual help online.

Please pray that this new video would reach many and that they would receive light concerning the preciousness of the Lord’s blood. Please also pray that many would share the video through Facebook and other social media platforms.

To watch “The Precious Blood of Christ,” visit BfA’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Bibles4America.

Mass Migration out of the Middle East into Europe

As a result of much prayer and fellowship, there are currently two parts to the labor in contacting refugees from the Middle East as well as the Europeans:

(1) Sowing in southern Europe: On Saturday, November 14, the distribution of what is planned to be 200,000 to 300,000 care packages began in Greece. There are around 10,000 people per day coming in through this area. The goal is to get the gospel and ministry into this stream of humanity as they journey north. These care packages include some food, hygiene items, and a gospel tract entitled “My New Life.” They also provide information on how to contact saints through a website on a smart phone, enter prayer requests, and listen to 24/7 streaming gospel, ministry and hymns—all in various languages. There are teams of ten saints from various parts of the world rotating into this labor every two weeks. If even one to five percent of the refugees receive these materials, this would be thousands of people.

(2) Shepherding in northern Germany: The labor in northern Germany will involve more one-on- one contact and follow-up shepherding in homes, both with the local saints as well as saints who have migrated to help. This endeavor is still in its experimental stages, so the brothers need the saints’ prayers and the Lord’s leading. The reports of the openness and fields being white are astounding. It was reported that on November 15 there were five Syrians in the Lord’s Table meeting in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Please pray for:
- the Lord’s continued leading concerning the way to go forward in a coordinated way.
- the free mass distribution of care packages and literature.
- the shepherding of the seeking ones.
- the release and participation of brothers and sisters with an adequate knowledge of the truth and a proficiency in the Arabic and Farsi languages. (It is clear that saints with these language skills are the most valuable commodity in this present move of the Lord.)
- the salvation and gaining of the Lord’s chosen ones, especially the useful ones and the young ones.
- the Lord’s protection of His present move from the attack of the evil one, Satan.

Thanksgiving Conference

The Thanksgiving Conference will be November 26–29 in Jacksonville, Florida. Ask the Lord to richly anoint all the brothers preparing to speak and to open every heart to fully receive the word spoken. Also ask the Lord to supply the saints caring for practical preparations for the conference.

Southern California College Conference

This weekend (November 20-22) Los Angeles college students will attend the college conferences (USC will be in Big Bear, UCLA and CSUN will be at Oak Glen; Cal State Channel Islands and UCSB will also be at Oak Glen). The topic is the four wonderful steps of Christ— incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. Please pray that:

  1. The Lord would prepare the hearts of the students to be the good ground to receive the Word.
  2. The new ones and our own students would all attend and experience the rich dispensing in the conference atmosphere.
  3. All the students would be blended together and all would be encouraged to pursue Christ in the church life.
  4. All the students would bring the conference back home and speak these wonderful steps to their friends as the gospel before the school term comes to an end.

Southern California Spanish-speaking Training

To end this age, we have to enter into a new revival, one which has never been seen before on earth. For this revival we need to reach the high peak of divine revelation, to have the God-man living, and to shepherd the flock of God by imparting the life-giving Spirit. We live in a historic time; we are on the threshold of turning the age. We need to keep training ourselves to become the dispensational instruments that the Lord is looking for.

The third of the three training days this fall is Saturday, November 21 in Anaheim.

European University Students Conference

The autumn European University Students Conference will be November 20 to 22 in London on the subject “The Spirit with our spirit.” Pray that the Lord will gain a young generation in Europe who exercise and know their mingled spirit so that He may have a new start in Europe.

I Will Shake All the Nations

Haggai 2:6-7, “For thus says Jehovah of hosts, Yet once more - it is but a little while - I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land; and I will shake all the nations, and the Desire of all the nations will come; and I will fill this house with glory, says Jehovah of hosts.”

The final shaking of the nations will be during the tribulation. Then Christ, the Desire of all the nations, will return visibly. However, before that time there is an on-going shaking, such as the wars and natural disasters mentioned by the Lord in Matthew 24:6-7. These shakings, including the refugee crisis in Europe and the bombings in Paris, open people to receive the Gospel.

We stand one with the saints in Europe as we pray for:
- the Lord's leading and their cooperation with Him to be bold with the gospel;
- the supply of gospel materials in all necessary languages both on paper and on the internet;
- the salvation and gaining of the Lord’s chosen among all Europeans, especially those who would then present the gospel to their fellow citizens.

The Grace of God Given in the Churches of Southern California

The Southern California churches are purchasing Oak Glen and selling Engedi. The advantages of Oak Glen are a larger number and diversity of housing and meeting facilities, lower elevation with less snow, and easy access from the freeway.

Oak Glen is a place not only for young people and college students, but also for blending for all the saints in Southern California. We all need times to go away with the Lord for His special speaking to us.
This is a wonderful opportunity to buy an excellent property. The current owner wants us to be the new owner based on their experiences with us at Oak Glen over the past twenty years.

We have had architects and engineers inspect the property; we are satisfied with it. We also have a master plan for improvements and expansion; we reviewed our plan with San Bernardino County officials and they had no serious objections.

Escrow is scheduled to close November 18. The total price is $8.2 million (but the insurance company values the property at $12.5 million). The down payment is 20% of the total. The seller will loan us the remaining 80% for two years.

Regarding giving for this property, we seek to follow the churches in Macedonia (2 Cor. 8:1-5): “We make known to you, brothers, the grace of God which has been given in the churches of Macedonia, that in much proving of affliction the abundance of their joy and the depth of their poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality; that according to their power, I testify, and beyond their power, of their own accord, with much entreaty they besought of us the grace and the fellowship of the ministry to the saints; and this, not as we had hoped, but they gave themselves first to the Lord, and to us through the will of God.” (See also 2 Cor. 8:7 and note 5)

Grace was given in Macedonia but the saints there also sought grace with much entreaty for their giving. This brought abundance of joy. Following their pattern, each one of us can first give ourselves freshly to the Lord. Then, through His will and with His joy, not according to our power and not looking at our poverty, we each give to have fellowship in this purchase. (Our giving should not take away from our regular giving.)

Our opening to the Lord could include seeking His leading about 1) where we could reduce our expenses to release money for giving and 2) what possessions we could sell for this giving.

One-Week Trainings in London

Three one-week trainings for saints across Europe are being held in London, beginning November 2,
9, and 23. The registrations have been filled for each of these weeks. The overall theme is “The Four Great Pillars in the Lord’s Recovery: Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel.” These training sessions will be very helpful for all the saints throughout Europe. Please pray that the Lord will advance in the building up of His Body through these trainings.

Belgium

The annual conference in Belgium is November 14 to 15. We seek the Lord that He would refresh the
saints with a clear vision of what He desires for these final days, in order to have His Body and turn the age. Also, pray that the preparation and carrying out of the conference would be blessed by the Lord in a sweet and prevailing coordination among the saints.

Europe and the Refugees

The mass human migration out of the Middle East into Europe is a divine opportunity arranged by the
Lord’s hand. Arabic-speaking saints from the U.S. are in Europe this week to look further into the situation. Ask the Lord to enlighten them to see where and how we can best bring the gospel to the refugees.

The Word of God Which Operates

“We also thank God unceasingly that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but even as it truly is, the word of God, which also operates in you who believe” (1 Thes 2:13). Since the word of God is living and operative (Heb. 4:12), it operates in the believing ones (footnote 3).

Lord, grant us more speaking, more hearing, and more believing of Your word!

Southern California College Conference

The first college conference is November 6 to 8. The subject is The Four Wonderful Steps of Christ.
(L.A.’s colleges are assigned to the second college conference weekend, November 20 to 22. For college students in L.A., early registration ends on Lord’s Day, November 8.)

University Students in the UK

More than 7,000 Gospel of John booklets were distributed; more than 1,700 students requested
further contact; and more than 300 of these are currently meeting with the saints. Please pray for:

  • The shepherding of the students into the church life so that they will become part of a nucleus for the
establishing and strengthening of the churches all over Europe.
  • The perfecting of the university students to be “fishers of men” and “feeders of lambs” for the
priesthood of the gospel on the campuses.

European Young People

The teacher’s training for the Winter School of Truth will be November 6 to 8 in the Netherlands.

Europe and the Refugees

The mass human migration out of the Middle East into Europe is a divine opportunity arranged by the
Lord’s hand. Many refugees are young, educated, and open to receive care and even the gospel. We should all pray that many will receive the gospel and that some will propagate the gospel among their fellow refugees.

If anyone has some ability in Arabic or Farsi and is burdened to participate, please read the letter at
https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/. Or, if anyone has the burden to pray faithfully for this situation, please read the same letter.

Romania

Please pray for the ongoing seminars in Bucharest, Resita, and Deva to contact the readers of the ministry, and pray for the organic increase of the churches through these seminars.

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is the largest Arab state in Western Asia with approximately 30 million inhabitants. In recent years the flow of the divine life has reached and watered this land, bringing in multiplication and increase. Currently there are 9 local churches, the largest of which is in the nation’s capital, Riyadh. The saints are hungry for the word of God. In addition to the Lord’s Table meetings, prayer meetings and small group meetings, meetings for reading the Life-study messages and video trainings are also held regularly. May the Lord continue to strengthen His testimony in Saudi Arabia!

More about the Lord’s move in Saudi Arabia, plus news from Nepal, Vietnam, and Zambia, are in the October issue of the LMA newsletter: http://lmasia.org/temp/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/E-2015-10.pdf (English) and http://lmasia.org/temp/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Asia-2015-10.pdf (Chinese).
