Experiencing Christ as the Wheat and the Barley

“Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless the grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” (John 12:24)

“Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes into Me, even if he should die, shall live.” (John 11:25)

Whenever you are put into a situation by the Lord's sovereignty in which you are limited, in which you are pressed, you may experience the Lord as wheat. When in the midst of that limiting and pressing situation you contact the Lord, He is just as a grain of wheat to you. Immediately upon contacting Him, you can be completely satisfied with your situation and your limitation.

Actually, in order to experience Christ as the grain of wheat, the limited Jesus, we must apply Him as the barley, as the resurrected Christ. It is the resurrected Christ who is living in us. This resurrected Christ possesses a life that has passed through incarnation, crucifixion, and burial, but He Himself today is the resurrected One. Today we are following the limited Jesus, but we do it in the power of the unlimited Christ.

This kind of experience not only causes you to know Christ inwardly as the wheat and as the barley, but by this experience you become a grain of wheat; you become a loaf of barley. Then you are food for others. You are able to feed others by what you have experienced. (CWWL, 1961-1962, vol. 4, “The All-inclusive Christ,” pp. 234, 236, 237-238)

Church in Los Angeles Joint Meeting

The whole church in Los Angeles—all halls, districts, and languages—will meet together at 10:00 am this Lord's Day, April 28 at the LA Convention Center.

Please pray for a healthy attendance and blending, and for the timely speaking of the Lord to shepherd all the saints in the church to be brought on for the sake of His testimony in Los Angeles and for the building up of the reality of the Body of Christ, the preparation of the bride of Christ, and the manifestation of the kingdom of Christ.

Semiannual Training Live Registrations

The deadline to register for the in-person July Semiannual Training, July 1 to 6, in Anaheim ($205) is next Tuesday, April 30. Late registrations will not be accepted. For saints in LA, registration and payment instructions are at tinyurl.com/summertrainingla. Please contact your district's registration coordinator if you have any questions. Registrations for our local video trainings are due June 16.

We hope that many saints will seize the opportunity to participate in this training. As the Lord leads, may many be led of the Lord to budget their time and money so that they can attend the in-person meetings. As Paul commended Timothy, “You have closely followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, long-suffering, love, endurance” (2 Tim. 3:10). May we likewise closely follow the Lord's up-to-date speaking so that He may build His Body and prepare His bride.

2024 Olympics Bible Distribution

There is still space available for the last two gospel trips in August and September. For this special move in the Lord's recovery, please pray for:

  • The granting of the final approval from civic authorities for the distributions in a timely manner.
  • The Lord's casting “fire” on French-speaking Europe—France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.
  • The logistics of all the Bibles going out to the various cities, that they would arrive on time and at the right destinations.
  • The Lord to release the saints needed for all the gospel trip teams.

The April 2024 issue of LSM's newsletter features an article on the current burden in the Lord's move in French-speaking Europe at newsletters.lsm.org/having-this-ministry. The application for gospel trips is at www.amanatrust.org.uk/page/2024Paris. Saints in LA burdened to give for the distribution and associated expenses can do so through the Church in Los Angeles designated for “Paris Olympics.”

Israel

Please continue to pray for the situation in Israel and the Middle East, that through the prayers of the saints the evil rulers and authorities in the air, and the human agents used by them, will be bound, and God's interests will be furthered and His chosen ones preserved.

Pray that God will use the situation to cause the gospel of the kingdom to be proclaimed, and that many people, regardless of ethnicity, religion or background, will be unveiled to see Christ as the Savior and the only way to God.

Taiwan

A major earthquake occurred in Hualien, Taiwan, on April 3. The meeting hall and some of the saints' homes were damaged. About 10 saints were injured and were discharged after being admitted to hospital. About forty saints were placed in temporary residences.

Please pray for the Lord's leading of the brothers in Taiwan concerning the best way to meet the need in Hualien, so that the church life there will continue in an uninterrupted way, and the testimony in that city will be stronger than ever. Pray for saints to be guarded by the peace of God (Phil. 4:7) and emboldened to speak the gospel (Eph. 6:19-20), and for the people of Taiwan to be open to receive the gospel and be transferred into God's unshakeable kingdom.

Saints in LA burdened to contribute toward the needs of the church and the saints in Hualien may do so through the Church in Los Angeles designated for “Hualien Earthquake Relief.”

South Africa

This weekend, April 26 to 28, there will be a blending conference near Cape Town, South Africa. Cape Town is one of the strategic cities in South Africa targeted for strengthening the Lord's existing testimony. Despite living very far apart geographically, the saints endeavor to enter into the God-ordained way through a house-to-house church life. This is the first time since 2019 that this conference is taking place, and it represents a turning point for the church in Cape Town and the Western Cape area. At least 87 adults have registered, 36 of whom are from Cape Town, plus 15 young people and 19 children.

Please pray for the Lord's speaking for His move. Pray for the release, both outwardly and inwardly, of everyone who signed up to be able to attend this conference as open vessels to receive a fresh infusion of the divine dispensing and to be more blended together for the Lord's testimony in this outermost part of the earth!

Inheriting the All-inclusive Christ as the Good Land

“The whole commandment which I am commanding you today, you shall keep and do, so that you may live and multiply, and enter and possess the land which Jehovah swore to your fathers.” (Deut. 8:1)

“All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Tim. 3:16)

The goal of God's calling of the children of Israel was that they would enter into the promised land to enjoy its riches so that they might establish God's kingdom and be God's expression on earth. In order to fully possess Christ as the good land, we must maintain our freshness and newness with the Lord by receiving His new speaking to us day by day. We must beware of languishing in the land (Deut. 4:25); the word languish implies “the loss of spiritual freshness, and the blunting of original impressions, produced by force of custom, or long residence in the same spot” (S. R. Driver).

If we love God, humble ourselves, and come to the Lord as the living word in His written word by pray-reading His Word, He becomes the applied word of the Spirit to us; His instant words are spirit and life to us for our supply and nourishment, we are infused with God's substance through His words, and we become one with God in life and nature but not in the Godhead for His glory, His expression. (Laboring on the All-inclusive Christ Typified by the Good Land…, msg. 2, I, III.B.3-4)

May we all learn to love God, humble ourselves, and come to Lord as the living word so that we might become one with God to establish God's kingdom and to be God's expression on earth.

ITERO

The Spring 2024 International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones was held in Anaheim this past weekend, April 12 to 14. The general subject was “Being a Vessel unto Honor, a Fully Equipped Man of God, by Being Empowered in the Grace Which Is in Christ Jesus to Fully Accomplish Our Ministry in the Unique Ministry of God's Economy.”

Please pray that the Lord's up-to-date speaking would operate in brothers through their reviewing and praying over the messages, that they would “be empowered in the grace which is in Christ Jesus” to be “faithful men, who will be competent to teach others also” (2 Tim. 2:1-2).

USC Celebration Meeting

This Friday, April 19, we are having a special, end-of-year celebration meeting for college students at USC and in the downtown area. Please pray for:

  • The Lord to gather our students together, especially ones who were new with us this past year.
  • The students to fan their spirits into flame during the singing.
  • The rich overflow of Christ through testimonies from all the students that would bring glory to the Lord for all that He has done this past year.

European Brothers Training and Blending Conference

The Spring 2024 European Brothers' Training will take place in London at Woodland Camp from April 17 to 19. The brothers will review the messages from last week's ITERO in Anaheim. Please pray that the Lord will strengthen His testimony in Europe through this training.

Following the brothers' training, the Spring 2024 International Blending Conference will take place in London from April 20 to 21. Please pray for many saints to be able to attend and for the Lord to speak a timely word for the building up of His Body.

Israel

Pray for the situation in Israel and the Middle East, that through the prayers of the saints the evil rulers and authorities in the air, and the human agents used by them, will be bound, and God's interests will be furthered and His chosen ones preserved.

Please pray for the comfort, care, and safety of the saints in Hualien. Pray for saints to be guarded by the peace of God (Phil. 4:7) and emboldened to speak the gospel (Eph. 6:19-20), and for the people of Taiwan to be open to receive the gospel and be transferred into God's unshakeable kingdom.

Saints in LA who are burdened to contribute toward the needs of the church and the saints in Hualien may do so through the Church in Los Angeles designated for “Hualien Earthquake Relief.”

Laos

In 2021, a family and two sisters received the burden to migrate from the capital Vientiane to Luang Prabang, the fourth-largest city in the country, for the spread of the Lord's testimony. Despite the ongoing pandemic and a difficult environment, the saints faithfully labored in one accord until they experienced a breakthrough and gained one family in a solid way and some gospel friends on the campus. In April 2022, the church in Luang Prabang had its first bread-breaking meeting.

This month, 6 FTTT trainees are visiting Laos for gospel trips. Please pray for the propagation in Vientiane and Luang Prabang in coordination with the trainees. May the Lord bless the churches in Laos to bear much remaining fruit for the Father's glory!

Fighting for the Good Land

“Finally, be empowered in the Lord and in the might of His strength. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the stratagems of the devil. For our wrestling is not against blood and flesh but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenlies.” (Eph. 6:10-12)

“For Jehovah your God is bringing you to a good land, a land of waterbrooks, of springs and of fountains, flowing forth in valleys and in mountains.” (Deut. 8:7)

If we read the Scriptures carefully, we will see that there is a battle for the good land. In order to understand the significance of the Israelites entering Canaan and the warfare in Canaan, we need to know that Canaan has a twofold significance in typology: on the positive side, Canaan, a land of riches, typifies the all-inclusive Christ with His unsearchable riches; on the negative side, Canaan signifies the aerial part, the heavenly part, of the dark kingdom of Satan, the heavenlies that are full of Satan's forces. (Laboring on the All-inclusive Christ Typified By the Good Land…, msg. 1, I, II, A, B)

We must…remember that there are evil powers in the heavenlies. We must fight the battle with the enemy. We are enjoying a portion of the all-inclusive Christ, yet the enemy and his evil forces in the heavenlies are still usurping and occupying the land…As soon as we enjoy Christ in such a way, we realize in our spirit the reality of the evil forces in the heavenlies. These evil forces are veiling the all-inclusiveness of Christ from the Lord's children…There is an exceedingly real spiritual warfare in which we must engage. By enjoying something of the all-inclusive Christ, we will be burdened for this fighting; we will be burdened for this battle. That is why we have been formed as an army. The conflict is before us. (CWWL, 1961-1962, vol. 4, “The All-inclusive Christ,” p. 336)

ITERO

The Spring 2024 International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones will be held in Anaheim this weekend, April 12 to 14, as well as by webcasts around the world throughout this month. Please pray for the full release of the Lord's timely speaking with His burden to His Body, especially the elders and responsible ones, for the advancement of His economy on the whole earth.

Spring College Conference

Thank you, saints, for praying with us for the Southern California College Conference in Arcadia this past weekend. In total, 65 college students and 7 high school seniors from LA participated.

The conference, entitled “Whose House We Are,” covered crucial revelations of the church as the house of the living God, the pillar and base of the truth, the mystery of godliness, and a dwelling place of God in spirit. The speaking was practical and highlighted our cooperation to build up the church by exercising our spirit, growing in life, and meeting on the proper ground, the ground of oneness.

Our students' response to the messages was very positive, especially related to our personal experience of our spirit being crucial for the building up of the church. The Lord's blessing was surely with us, as many students came to more meetings than they had originally planned. Furthermore, on the last day, four college students were baptized, including two from LA. Praise the Lord! Please continue to labor with us through prayer that many of these students would give themselves to be living stones built up together as God's house on the proper ground.

Bibles for America

Last year, Facebook ads were responsible for 68% of all BfA's Bible orders. Recently, Facebook updates have caused significant disruption for advertisers and users alike. Keeping up with their changing algorithm is always challenging, but this last month has been particularly difficult. The cost per Bible order has increased by almost 60% while producing only 30% of the usual number of orders.

Please pray that BfA would have a breakthrough in using new strategies for ad campaigns. Pray that the Lord would be wisdom to us in how to establish ads in a cost-effective way that would allow us to reach more people. Pray also that the Lord would continue to work behind the scenes to make the digital advertising environment fit for the going out of His Word.

Europe

Teams of trainees from the Full-time Training in Taipei have traveled to a number of cities in Europe this month to blend with the local saints and serving ones and to spread the gospel of the kingdom to the local people. Pray for the Lord's blessing on these trips for the increase and building up of His Body.

Taiwan

“Therefore receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us have grace, through which we may serve God well-pleasingly with piety and fear.” (Heb. 12:28)

Last Wednesday, April 3, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck the island of Taiwan. The epicenter was near the city of Hualien, where the meeting hall of the church has sustained damage and a number of saints' homes have collapsed, forcing the saints to take shelter elsewhere.

Please pray for saints to be guarded by the peace of God (Phil. 4:7) and emboldened to speak the gospel (Eph. 6:19-20), and for the people of Taiwan to be open to receive the gospel and be transferred into God's unshakeable kingdom.

Turkey

Pray for the propagation work in Adana to be strengthened that the saints can be perfected and built up to be His lampstand. With nearly 2.3 million people, Adana is the fifth most populous city in Turkey.

The Church as the Bride Being a Warrior to Defeat God's Enemy

“Let us rejoice and exult, and let us give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” (Rev. 19:7)

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God…And receive the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which Spirit is the word of God, by means of all prayer and petition, praying at every time in spirit and watching unto this in all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints.” (Eph. 6:13a, 17-18)

The joy set before us is the Lord Jesus, the Bridegroom, coming for His bride, who has made herself ready—the maturity of the bride, the building of the bride, the righteousness of the bride, the beauty of the bride, and the bride being a warrior to defeat God's enemy. (The Enjoyment of Christ and Our Growth in Life unto Maturity, msg. 6, Key Statement 4)

Spiritual warfare is not an individual matter; it is a matter of the Body, a corporate entity to fight the battle against God's enemy. No soldier in a modern army would enter into battle by himself. Rather, he would fight as part of a well-trained and fully equipped army. After we have been formed corporately into an army, we will be able to fight against God's enemy…Therefore, it is very dangerous to be isolated from the army. Only by remaining in the army will we have the necessary protection.

In Ephesians 5 the word is for nourishment that leads to the beautifying of the bride, but in Ephesians 6 the word is for killing that enables the church as the corporate warrior to engage in spiritual warfare. Pray-reading the Word of God is the way to kill the adversary within us. Every day and in every kind of situation, we should pray-read. Whenever we are troubled by something negative within us, we should take the Word of God by means of prayer in spirit. As we do this, the negative element will be killed.

In Ephesians 6:17 Paul charges us to receive “the sword of the Spirit, which Spirit is the word of God.” This means that we need to take the word of the Bible as a sword for fighting the enemy. According to Paul's word in this verse, the word of God is the sword not directly but indirectly…The sword is not the word directly. Rather, the sword is the Spirit directly, and then the Spirit is the word. This indicates that if we would deal with the enemy Satan, the word of the Bible must become the Spirit. If we would use the word of the Bible as a sword to kill the enemy, in our experience the word must be the Spirit. (The Conclusion of the New Testament, pp. 4340-4342)

Southern California College Conference

The weekend, April 5 to 7, a conference for all the college students in Southern California will take place in Arcadia. The title of this conference is “Whose House We Are,” about the church as the dwelling place of God. Please pray for:

  • Many students (including our current high school seniors), especially those who are younger or newer, to attend at least 2 to 3 meetings.
  • The Lord to carry the students away in spirit, especially through the singing.
  • The eyes of the students' hearts to be enlightened that they may see a vision of God's house today!

Southern California Junior High Sisters Conference

This weekend, April 5 to 7, sisters from across Southern California will gather at Oak Glen for the Spring 2024 Junior High Sisters Conference on “The Precious Blood of Christ.” Please pray:

  • For the Lord to prepare the hearts of all of the young sisters attending the conference.
  • That they would experience and appreciate the precious blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:19).
  • That companionships would be built through spending time together during the conference.

Also pray for the junior school brothers returning from their conference last weekend, that they would enter into the experience of applying this precious blood to deal with any sins and offenses to maintain their fellowship with the Lord in their daily life.

Santa Barbara

The church life in Santa Barbara, California consists of about 25 saints who meet regularly (10 to 15 college students, 2 elderly couples, a few younger couples, and a few working saints) in several open homes. Some other couples and students have the heart to meet, but struggle to do so with young children and school or work commitments. When the FTTA trainees visited in early February, two such couples brought their children for a short time of singing; some of the students we rarely see also joined. In brief, through the FTTA gospel trip, saints of all ages were encouraged and uplifted to go on in the church life with a view for the Lord to recover the existing saints who are not meeting as well as gain new ones for His increase.

We are grateful for the prayers of the Body! Please join us to pray for:

  • The busy saints with their children to make time for the church life.
  • The Lord to send some incoming freshmen, transfers, and graduate students to UCSB to be normal functioning members and strengthen the church life in Santa Barbara.
  • Some community saints to migrate to Santa Barbara to open their homes for the sake of the Lord's increase and testimony in Santa Barbara.
  • More saints from nearby localities to visit and blend on Lord's Days to strengthen the meetings and motivate existing families and new ones to participate.

Iceland

A team of 12 saints from different continents were in Iceland from March 24 to 30 to preach the gospel and distribute ministry publications. They had copies of The Mystery of Human Life in Icelandic to distribute throughout the places visited and also gave out NT Recovery Versions at the university. The saints reported that people they met on the campus were really open.

May the Lord soften the hearts of the people in Iceland, remind those who took some literature to read it and receive Him, and arrange some follow-up contact with the saints.

Speaking According to the Heavenly Vision

“And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” (Rev. 21:2)

“And having the same spirit of faith according to that which is written, ‘I believed, therefore I spoke,' we also believe, therefore we also speak.” (2 Cor. 4:13)

Joseph, a “master of dreams” (Gen. 37:19), dreamed that, according to God's view, His people are sheaves of wheat full of life and heavenly bodies full of light. Joseph's two dreams, both from God, unveiled to him God's divine view concerning the nature, position, function, and goal of God's people on earth. We have to use the “divine telescope” to see through time and behold the New Jerusalem, where there is nothing but sheaves full of life and stars full of light. Thus, the reigning aspect of the mature life never speaks negatively concerning the saints or the church.

Although his own dreams were not yet fulfilled, Joseph had the faith and the boldness to interpret the dreams of his two companions in prison. Eventually, Joseph was released from prison indirectly through his speaking by faith in interpreting the cupbearer's dream, and he was ushered to the throne directly through his speaking boldly in interpreting Pharaoh's dreams. Both release and authority came to him through his speaking.

We should not speak according to our feelings but according to the heavenly vision. We are visionaries, seers, of God's eternal economy, so we should speak according to the absoluteness of the truth of His economy. (The Enjoyment of Christ and Our Growth in Life unto Maturity, msg. 5, I.B, 1; E, 3)

SoCal Junior High Brothers Conference

This weekend, March 29 to 31, brothers from across Southern California will gather at Oak Glen for the Spring 2024 Junior High Brothers Conference on “The Precious Blood of Christ.” For this conference, please pray:

  • For the Lord to prepare the hearts of all of the young brothers in Southern California.
  • That they would experience and appreciate the precious blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:19).
  • That companionships would be built through spending time together during the conference.

College Conference Registrations

The Southern California Spring College Conference is coming up April 5 to 7 and will take place in Arcadia. The title of this conference is “Whose House We Are,” which will be about the church as the dwelling place of God. The registration deadline is this Lord's Day, March 31. Please pray for:

  • Many students (including our current high school seniors), especially those who are younger or newer, to register and commit to attend at least 2 to 3 meetings.
  • The Lord to carry the students away in spirit, especially through the singing.
  • The eyes of the students' hearts to be enlightened that they may see a vision of God's house today!

2024 Olympics Bible Distribution

There is room for more saints to participate in the Lord's move in France during the upcoming Summer Olympics. There are still places on the four trips taking place in August and September. For this special move in the Lord's recovery, please pray:

  • That the Lord will release the saints needed for the trips and the brothers needed to lead them.
  • For the formation of all the gospel trip teams.
  • For the timely communication with the civil authorities and favorable views from them.
  • That the Lord will encourage the saints in France, add to them, and raise up more lampstands—including in Luxembourg.

Updated information and an application form are at www.amanatrust.org.uk/page/2024Paris. Applications for each trip will close when capacity is reached.

Saints in LA who are burdened to give for the Bible distribution and other associated expenses can do so through the Church in Los Angeles designated for “Paris Olympics.”

Germany

Please pray for the preparation of the FTTT gospel trip taking place on April 3 to 17 in Hamburg, Bremen, and Hanover.

Sri Lanka

Pray for the saints to enter into the riches of the Life-study of John daily in order to be vital persons to carry out the God-ordained way. As was mentioned in the December 2023 issue of the Lord's Move to Asia, the saints are burdened to preach the gospel and shepherd people so that there could be the multiplication of districts and small groups for the increase of the church. Specifically, ask the Lord for the number of saints in the church in Colombo to reach 100 by June of this year.

Experiencing the Transmission of the All-Inclusive Christ

“If therefore you were raised together with Christ, seek the things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.” (Col. 3:1)

“But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.” (1 Cor. 6:17)

Our position is that we are in Christ. Because we are in Him, we are where He is—at the right hand of God…What makes this real is that we are one spirit with the Lord. It is when we are in the spirit that we are in Christ, in the Father, and in heaven practically and experientially.

Praise the Lord that transmission is going on from heaven to our spirit! When we experience this transmission, we are truly in Christ, in the Father, and in heaven. Our spirit is directly related to heaven. The heavenly transmission begins in heaven and ends in our spirit. Because we may experience and enjoy this unique transmission, there is no need for us to go to heaven in order to be in heaven. Simply by being in our spirit where we experience the transmission from heaven, we are in heaven. [We] are connected to heaven by the divine transmission, which flows from the throne of God in heaven into our spirit. (Life-study of Colossians, 2nd edition, pp. 510-511)

UCLA Blending Trips

Spring is upon us, and during the academic year this is a time where many college students take the opportunity to visit other localities, blend with the saints, and attend the FTTA short-term training.

Next week, two groups from UCLA will be participating in blending trips. Around 15 saints will travel to Austin, Texas to visit the church there. Another group of 10 will go up to San Jose to blend with churches in that area. Please pray that:

  • The Lord would sovereignly cover the health, travel, and weather so that all the saints could enjoy the Lord to the uttermost and none would be hindered from fully participating.
  • All the students would enjoy the fellowship during the trips, get a taste of blending, and experience the sweet Body life.
  • The saints providing hospitality would be supplied with the Lord as grace as they receive our saints into their homes.

Hall 3 Blending Trip

This weekend, March 23 to 24, the saints in Hall 3 will visit the church in San Diego. On Saturday evening, they will have a blending and gospel meeting together. Over 50 people (including young people, children, and gospel friends) have registered for this trip. Please pray for:

  • Everyone to have an open heart and be supplied and encouraged by the divine supply in the Body.
  • All the saints to go through the cross, by the Spirit, dispensing Christ to one another for the sake of being blended in the Body life for the reality of the Body of Christ.
  • For the gospel friends to be saved and baptized on this trip.

Spring European University Conference

This weekend, March 22 to 24, a conference will take place in the Netherlands for university students in Europe. The subject will be “The Centre of the Universe.” Please pray that:

  • The Lord will speak a timely word to the university students in Europe and will gain them for His final move to prepare for His coming.
  • Each attendee will see a vision of the crucified and resurrected Christ and will be constrained by the Lord’s love to “waste themselves” on Him.
  • The enemy will be bound and utterly shamed, both in the outward environment of all the aspects of the conference and in the minds of all the conference attendees.
  • The Lord will bless all the service before and during the conference, cover all the travel to and from the conference, and release the very best weather for the conference weekend.

2024 Olympics Bible Distribution

There is still room for many more saints to participate in the Lord’s move in France during the 2024 Summer Olympics. There are still places on the four trips taking place in August and September.

For this special move in the Lord’s recovery, please pray:

  • That the Lord will release the number of saints needed for the remainder of the gospel trips in August and September and the brothers required to lead these trips.
  • For the formation of all the gospel trip teams.
  • For the clear and timely communication between us and the civil authorities and favorable views from them.
  • That the Lord will encourage the saints in France, add to them, and raise up more lampstands—including in Luxembourg.

Dealing with Our Heart

“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it are the issues of life.” (Prov. 4:23)

“For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” (Matt. 12:34b)

“For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace.” (Rom. 8:6)

We need to see the subjective obstacles encountered by God’s life in our heart. The first subjective problem is the problem of our mind. When our mind is set on the spirit, our outward actions are in agreement with our inner man, and there is no discrepancy between us and God. He and we are at peace, not at enmity. The result is that we feel peaceful within. The second subjective problem is the problem of our will. Both a strong will and a weak will to carry out the Lord’s will are hindrances to God’s life. A will that has been dealt with is both strong and pliable by being subdued and resurrected by the Lord. Having a will that can cooperate with God is a great matter. The third subjective problem is the problem of our emotion. We should love whatever God loves, like whatever God likes, and hate whatever God hates. Our emotion and His emotion should become one emotion.

We must deal with our heart in the light of the Lord’s presence for the growth of the divine seed of life within us unto our maturity in life. The heart is the conglomerate of man’s inward parts, man’s chief representative, his acting agent. The heart is the entrance and exit of life, the “switch” of life. If the heart is not right, life in the spirit is hindered, and the law of life cannot work freely and without obstruction to reach every part of our being. Though life has great power, this great power is controlled by our small heart. (The Enjoyment of Christ and Our Growth in Life unto Maturity, msg. 3, IV, A, 3, B, 3, C, 2; I, E)

High School Sisters Conference

The Southern California High School Sisters Conference takes place this weekend, March 15 to 17, at Oak Glen. The topic this season is “The Good Land.” Please pray:

  • For the Lord to prepare the hearts of each high school sister this week.
  • That each one would appreciate and experience inheriting the all-inclusive Christ as the good land.
  • That companionships would be built through spending time together during the conference.

Also pray for the high school brothers returning from their conference last weekend, that they would enter into what they heard and also appreciate and experience the all-inclusive Christ as the good land this week in their daily life and in the church life.

High School Seniors

During the months of March and April, high school seniors find out which colleges have offered them admission. In the church in Los Angeles, we have 8 brothers and 10 sisters who are graduating from high school this year. Please pray:

  • For all of our seniors in LA to be open to the Lord for His leading and to the Body for shepherding fellowship related to their college decision and future.
  • For the Lord to place each senior in the best place and situation for them to grow in life and be useful to the Lord for His purpose.
  • That the Lord would send open and seeking vessels from around the United States and the world to our college campuses in LA for us to contact and gain for His glory!

FTTA-MA

The spring term of the Middle-age Training in Anaheim begins next week on March 18. The goal of the training is to foster living, functioning, overcoming members of the Body of Christ for the fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose!

Please pray for the Lord’s covering and blessing of all the trainees, serving ones, and their families. Pray for the rich infusion of the truth into each trainee and for the Lord’s maturing them through His moving within each one and His using the outward environment.

2024 Olympics Bible Distribution

There is still room for many more saints to participate in the Lord’s move in France during the 2024 Summer Olympics. The quotas for the gospel teams during the Torch Relay from July 21 to 30 have now been filled, but there are still places on the four trips between July 31 and September 9.

Besides the burden for France, there is also a burden for the Lord’s move in the neighboring country of Luxembourg. In fact, one town in central Luxembourg, Mertzig, will be targeted in all the distribution trips from late July to early September.

Saints in LA who are burdened to give for the Bible distribution and other associated expenses can do so through the Church in Los Angeles designated for “Paris Olympics.”

Germany – Stuttgart

Pray that following the resubmission of the architect’s application, the city will approve the request for the renovation of the meeting hall in Stuttgart without delay so that the saints can begin this renovation as soon as possible.

Pray for the saints’ enjoyment of the Lord to be preserved through morning revival, reading the Life-studies, and attending meetings to gain life and light, be constituted with the truth, and grow in life.

Enjoying, Rejoicing, and Exulting with Joy

“…And do not be grieved, for the joy of Jehovah is your strength.” (Neh. 8:10)

“Whom having not seen, you love; into whom though not seeing Him at present, yet believing, you exult with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory.” (1 Pet. 1:8)

A sweet thought revealed in the Word of God is that in Christ God has given Himself to us as grace to be our enjoyment. God’s desire is to give Himself to us to be our enjoyment. The secret to the Christian life is not how much we work for Him but how much we absorb Him and enjoy Him. (The Enjoyment of Christ and Our Growth in Life unto Maturity, msg. 2, I.C.4, c)

We need to rejoice, but it does not mean that we wait for some pleasant things to happen for us to rejoice. The indwelling Lord is the cause of our rejoicing, and the Holy Spirit who moves within us is the motivation of our constant rejoicing. If we live in the fellowship of the Triune God and experience and enjoy the Spirit, we will have the joy that is brought to us by the Spirit. (Truth Lessons—Level Two, vol. 4, pp. 60-61)

This joy [in 1 Peter 1:8] is immersed in the Lord as glory; thus, it is full of the expression of the Lord. This joy is also unspeakable; it is a joy that is beyond our ability to utter…By believing into the Lord and loving Him, we obtain great joy. The normal condition of a Christian is to “exult with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory.” (The Conclusion of the New Testament, pp. 3854-3855)

High School Brothers Conference

This weekend, March 8 to 10, is the Southern California High School Brothers Conference at Oak Glen. The topic this season is “The Good Land.” Please pray:

  • For the Lord to prepare the hearts of each young person this week.
  • That each one would appreciate and experience inheriting the all-inclusive Christ as the good land.
  • That companionships would be built through spending time together during the conference.

Germany – Young People’s Conference

The general subject of this weekend’s German-speaking young people’s conference at Gut Elim, March 8 to 10, is “Salvation in God’s Economy.” Pray that the Lord will prepare the hearts of the young people to be the good ground to receive the word spoken in the conference. Pray that during the conference every young person will be shepherded and will have a companion. Pray that the young people will contact and enjoy the Lord.

Germany – Stuttgart

During the last October’s gospel outreach, the church in Stuttgart prayed specifically for gaining five local German students. The Lord answered and five local Germans contacted in October are now meeting regularly. These ones have also brought two more, so the total number remaining is seven Germans plus some international students. Hallelujah! Lord, we thank You and praise You! Lord, continue to gain these ones in a solid way as remaining fruit for the church!

Bible Distribution in France

There is still the opportunity for 400 more saints to participate in the Lord’s move in France during the 2024 Olympics from mid-July to September. Saints with some knowledge of French are especially requested, but knowledge of the language is not required since English will be the main language for coordination.

Financial contributions are also needed to support the operation of these gospel trips since there are expenses involved in reserving rooms for coordination, purchasing Bible distribution kits, transporting thousands of Bibles to each city, etc.

Finally, please continue to remember before the Lord this matter of His move in the French-speaking world and in particular the Bible distributions during the Torch Relay and Olympics. Petition the Lord concerning His wisdom to the saints planning these trips, as well as the praying and going from churches around the world, including from Los Angeles.

Saints in LA who are burdened to give for the Bible distribution and other associated expenses can do so through the Church in Los Angeles designated for “Paris Olympics.” Updated information and an application form are at www.amanatrust.org.uk/page/2024Paris. The applications for each trip will close when capacity is reached.

Timor-Leste

Timor-Leste, or East Timor, is a Southeast Asian nation with fewer than 1.5 million inhabitants, most of whom are Catholic. The two official languages are Portuguese and Tetum, with English and Indonesian designated as working languages. Currently, the saints in the capital, Dili, are burdened for more of their friends and relatives to receive the gospel. Please pray for the saints to be channels of blessing to all these warm doors for the increase of the Lord’s testimony in Timor-Leste!

Taking the Enjoyment of the All-inclusive Christ as Our Everything

“…To those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, the called saints, with all those who call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, who is theirs and ours.” (1 Cor. 1:2)

“God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Cor. 1:9)

First Corinthians is a book on the enjoyment of the all-inclusive Christ as the unique solution to all problems in the church; God’s intention in His recovery is to recover Christ as the unique center of God’s economy and as everything to us as our portion for our enjoyment.

We should concentrate on Christ, not on any persons, things, or matters other than Christ; we should focus on Christ as our unique center appointed by God so that all the problems among the believers may be solved. We need to be those who are thinking “the one thing”; the one thing in Philippians refers to the subjective knowledge, experience, and enjoyment of Christ; the one thing is the pursuing of Christ to gain Him and possess Him.

Our goal is the fullest enjoyment of Christ and the fullest gaining of Christ for the building up of the Body of Christ; this issues in our having the uttermost enjoyment of Christ as our prize in the millennial kingdom. (The Enjoyment of Christ and Our Growth in Life unto Maturity, msg. 1, I, C, E, D)

May we pray to concentrate entirely on the subjective experience and enjoyment of Christ in order to be saved from every problem and attain to the fullest enjoyment of Christ for the building up of the Body of Christ.

Wednesday Night Ministry Meetings

A new term of Wednesday Night Ministry Meetings on “The Crucial Points of the Truth in Paul’s Epistles—2 Corinthians” begins this week on February 28 at 7:25 pm at the LSM Ministry Conference Center in Anaheim. The subject of the first message is “Christ Himself as the All-inclusive Life-giving Spirit Being the Reality and Content of the New Covenant Ministry and the Constitution of the New Covenant Ministers.” All the saints are invited to attend in person to support the release of the word. The meeting will also be live-streamed and archived at lsmwebcast.com (subscription or payment required).

Please pray for the ministry of the Lord’s word week by week to His recovery. Pray for the Lord’s continued blessing of the Full-time Training in Anaheim and covering of all trainees and serving ones.

Los Angeles Large Group Fellowship

This Friday evening, March 1, students from around Los Angeles will gather together at Hall 5 for dinner and a large group fellowship. Please pray for:

  • The Lord to strongly call both newer students and existing students to pay the price and come with an open heart and spirit.
  • The full release of the spirit, especially during the singing.
  • An anointed word concerning our students running the race with endurance, looking away unto Jesus!

ICSC Blending Trip Overflow

This Lord’s Day evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Hall 5 there will be a special time for all the saints in LA who attended the International Chinese-speaking Blending Conference in Taipei to share some highlights from their trip. Such sharing of experience and enjoyment is for their mutual edification as well as the benefit of all those who did not have the chance to go. This gathering is open to the whole church in Los Angeles. It will be recorded, and information about Zoom access will be communicated by hall.

Please pray for a rich and encouraging overflow of what the Lord has shown and spoken to those who went to Taiwan. May the benefit they have received become a blessing to the church in Los Angeles for the building up of the Body of Christ.

Supplanting Hands Becoming Blessing Hands

“And Joseph brought in Jacob his father and set him before Pharaoh, and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.” (Gen. 47:7)

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” (2 Cor 13:14)

Jacob's supplanting hands eventually became blessing hands (Gen. 25:26; 47:7, 10; 48:14-16). In chapter twenty-five we see that Jacob began his supplanting even when he was in his mother's womb. How skillful he was in supplanting! But in chapters forty-seven and forty-eight we see that these two supplanting hands have become blessing hands, bringing people into God's presence and ministering God into people so that they may enjoy Him. Would you have believed that Jacob's supplanting hands could become the blessing hands of a mature person? Here we see the growth and maturity in life. A supplanter, a heel-holder, became the greatest person on earth at the time. He was able to bless Pharaoh because he had become greater than Pharaoh. He became this kind of person by the way of life. We need the growth in life and the maturity in life so that we may be filled with Christ to become those who are able to bless others. (Life-study of Genesis, msg. 95, p. 1224)

Maturity in life is a matter of being filled with God as life, and blessing is the overflow of life, the overflow of God through the maturity in life. To bless others is to bring them into the presence of God and to bring God into them as grace, love, and fellowship that they may enjoy the Triune God—the Father, the Son, and the Spirit (14:18-19; Num. 6:23-27; 2 Cor. 13:14). (Gen. 47:7, note 1)

FTTA

The Spring 2024 term of the Full-time Training in Anaheim begins February 18. Please pray for all the trainees to present themselves as open vessels to grow in Christ's life unto maturity. Lord, richly infuse Yourself into each trainee—in their classes and studying, in corporate living, in gospel teams, in service, and in blending with the nearby churches!

ICSC

Please continue to pray for the word spoken earlier this month in the International Chinese-speaking Blending Conference in Taipei to supply and operate in all the saints.

The five messages on “Fighting the Good Fight, Finishing the Course, Keeping the Faith, and Loving the Lord's Appearing in order to Receive the Reward of Christ as the Crown of Righteousness” are available for free until March 12 at lsmwebcast.com.

Bible Distribution in France

All the saints are asked to consider how they can participate in the Lord's move in France this summer during the 2024 Olympics. Even though the Torch Relay distributions in May and June are already full, there is still the opportunity for 400 more saints to go during the Olympics from mid-July to late August.

Saints in LA who are burdened to give for the Bible distribution and other associated expenses can do so through the Church in Los Angeles designated for “Paris Olympics.” Updated information and an application form (due February 28) are available at www.amanatrust.org.uk/page/2024Paris.

Ukraine

Please pray that the Lord will protect the tripartite being of all the saints and will rule in the heavens over every aspect of this conflict so that the result will advance His economy on earth.

Vietnam

Please pray for the translation of the Old Testament Recovery Version into Vietnamese.
