Knowing the True God and Eternal Life

“And this is the testimony, that God gave to us eternal life and this life is in His Son.” (1 John 5:11)

“And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we might know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.” (1 John 5:20)

Eternal life is divine life with a special function—to know God. Because as believers we have been born of the divine life, we are able to know God. First John 5:20 speaks of knowing the true One. Here the word know actually means “experience, enjoy, and possess.”…In this universe only God Himself is the true One. We need God’s life in order to experience, enjoy, and possess Him.

The word this refers to the very God who has become experiential to us through our being in Him. No longer are we outside of this God. Rather, we are in this God, and we are in the true One, in His Son Jesus Christ. Because we are in Them, God and Jesus Christ are no longer objective to us, and in our experience They are no longer two. When we are in Them, They become one to us.

The word this includes this fact of our being in the true God and eternal life. Hallelujah, this is the true God and eternal life, and we are in this God and in this life! We know that we are in the true God and in eternal life because we are in the true One and in His Son Jesus Christ. (LS 1 John, pp. 345, 350-351)

Gospelize, Truthize, and Churchize America (GTCA)

We should all be migrants, following the footsteps of our forefather Abraham who migrated throughout his life. After migrating to a certain place, we should not stay there for too long. Instead of being settled there, we should always be ready to migrate to another place. We should not be permanently settled in any place, for we all are journeying toward the New Jerusalem. The place where we are is not our destination but only a station from which to migrate to another place. We all are on our way to our ultimate destination, the New Jerusalem. Migration is the way of the Christian life. (CWWL, 1971, vol. 2, pp. 483-484)

The subject of Acts is “The Propagation of the Resurrected Christ in His Ascension, by the Spirit, through the Disciples, for the Producing of the Churches—The Kingdom of God.” This is what we should do—live a life of the altar and the tent as sojourners looking for that better country.

The Lord brought His recovery to the United States because this country is strategic for His move in the final days. Today we are still very small. Locally we should be preaching the gospel and spreading the truth; at the same time, we are burdened for the whole country, especially for more cities in the Bible belt where there must be many seekers. Do not have the thought that this country has been fully taken by the Lord; there are still many cities which need shining lampstands. This is the burden of GTCA. While the focus of GTCA is the United States, there will be an overflow to other nations, especially Europe.

God wanted to pour out His Spirit for the carrying out of His New Testament economy and had promised to do it, yet He still needed His chosen people to pray for this. As God in heaven, He needs men on earth to cooperate with Him for the carrying out of His plan (Acts 1:14, footnote 3). Let us beseech the Lord for His spread in Los Angeles, around Los Angeles, and in more cities across the United States. Let us also ask the Lord to impart a burden for these migrations into all of us.

A recording of the GTCA Update Webinar from December 14 is available at gtca.us. The three new target cities announced are Lafayette, Indiana; Charleston, South Carolina; and Pensacola, Florida.

2025 December Semiannual Training

The December semiannual training will take place in Anaheim next week, December 22 to 27. The general subject is “Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ (4).” In addition to the saints attending in person in Anaheim, many saints all over the earth will participate by video.

Please pray for the release of the Lord’s present speaking to His recovery and for the saints’ response to the operation of the seven Spirits to intensify God’s organic salvation and produce the overcomers to meet the Lord’s need today. May this training result in the deeper experience, enjoyment, and expression of Christ in all the saints for the furtherance of God’s economy.

FTTA Graduations

This Saturday, December 20, the graduation meeting for the 2025 Fall Class of the Full-time Training in Anaheim starts at 9:30 am at the Ministry Conference Center. Saints are warmly invited to attend in person or online at ftta.org/graduation.php. In the afternoon, the Middle-age Training (FTTA-MA) graduation starts at 2:00 pm, also at the MCC, and will be live-streamed at ftta.org/ma.

Please pray for the 38 FTTA, 4 FTTA-XB, and 27 FTTA-MA graduates, for their presentations this Saturday, and for them to “follow the Lamb wherever He may go” (Rev. 14:4). May these dear ones continue to pursue Christ, gain Him, live Him, and minister Him for the building up of the Body.

2026 Winter YP Blending Conference

Praise the Lord for all that He has gained in our young people this year! Our hearts are full of gratitude for the fellowship, prayers, gatherings and growth that God granted to them. As this calendar year draws to a close, we have much to pray for concerning our dear young people:

  • That they would learn to touch the Lord in a normal, genuine way during their final exams this week.
  • That they would redeem their winter breaks by spending time in the Word with companions, serving ones and family members to “guard the good deposit” (2 Tim. 1:14) they received this year.
  • That the Lord would release many to register for the Winter YP Blending Conference taking place in Anaheim, January 10 to 11, so they could be encouraged and blended with others from across SoCal.

Italy – Gospel Trips

For a number of years there have been three small churches in Italy. But the Lord’s recovery needs to be firmly rooted and growing in these localities, and the Lord’s interest needs to spread to new cities. The Lord is using the time of the Torch Relay and Winter Olympics in Italy to accomplish this. Accordingly, over 300 saints from around the world, along with local saints, are participating in gospel trips.

Please pray for the gospel teams that are currently in Sicily from December 12 to 21 and Naples from December 15 to 23. Pray for the Lord to find the sons of peace as the teams go out on the gospel. Also pray for the follow-up of all the contacts made over the past week and a half in Rome and the Florence area, and for the Lord to continue to reach open vessels in these places.

Saints may register for follow-up shepherding trips at amanatrust.org.uk/page/2026italy. As the Lord leads, saints in LA may give through the Church in Los Angeles designated for “Italy Olympics.”

Australia

Each December the churches in Australia gather for their summer national blending conference. The conference will take place in Sydney from December 19 to 23 with a brothers’ training preceding it from December 18 to 19. At least 15 churches from Australia will be represented with over 1,000 saints registered. There will also be a concurrent Summer School of Truth for the young people. Two brothers from Southern California, including one from LA, will be there to minister to the saints during this time. The general subject will be based on John 15 about living a life of mutual abiding in Christ for fruit-bearing.

Please pray for the churches in Australia, the traveling saints, the ministering brothers, and all the arrangements so that the universal vine in Australasia, with all its branches, will be a healthy, loving, and joyful vine that bears fruit for the glorification of the Father.
