The Enjoyment of the Sabbath for God’s Building
“Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.” (Exo. 31:16-17)
The fact that the insertion concerning the Sabbath follows the charge for the building work of the tabernacle indicates that the Lord was telling the builders, the workers, to learn how to rest with Him as they worked for Him. In doing God’s divine work to build the church, typified by the work to build the tabernacle, we must bear a sign to indicate that we are God’s people and that we need Him; then we will be able to work not only for God but also with God by being one with God; He will be our strength to work and our energy to labor.
Everything related to God’s dwelling place leads us to one matter—to the Sabbath with its rest and refreshment of the Lord; in the church life we are in the tabernacle, and the tabernacle leads us to rest, to the enjoyment of God’s purpose and of what He has done! The building work of the tabernacle and all its furniture (typifying the work of the Lord to build up the church) should begin with the enjoyment of God and continue in intervals with the refreshment by enjoying God; this will indicate that we do not work for God by our own strength, but by the enjoyment of Him and by being one with Him; this is to keep the principle of the Sabbath with Christ as the inner rest in our spirit. (The All-inclusive Christ as Revealed in Matthew, msg. 5, II.A, E, I-J)
Let us pray for all the saints to keep the principle of the Sabbath for the building up of the church!
Ministering Life for the Body
“For the perfecting of the saints unto the work of the ministry, unto the building up of the Body of Christ.” (Eph. 4:12)
“So then death operates in us, but life in you.” (2 Cor. 4:12)
The general subject of this past weekend’s ITERO was “The Ministry of the Word and God’s Dispensing for God’s Economy.” The ministry is the dispensing of life for the building up of the Body of Christ. In whatever we do, our focus must be the ministry of Christ as life.
The ministry of life is to minister as life the Christ whom we have experienced. The ministry comes out by the working of the cross; it is by the way of the cross that we have the riches of Christ as life to minister to others (2 Cor. 4:12). How much life and how much reality of the riches of Christ we can minister depends upon how much revelation we have received and how much we have suffered for what has been revealed to us. (ITERO, msg. 3, I.D, 2)
If we would minister life, we need to know, experience, and gain God as the God of resurrection. When the God of resurrection works in us, His life and nature are wrought into us. The killing of the cross results in the manifestation of resurrection life. The budding, blossoming, fruit-yielding rod [in Numbers 17:8] signifies the resurrection life of Christ for us to minister life to the Body. (II, B, C, D)
Let us pray:
- That all of us expand in our experience of Christ and His cross, no longer trusting in ourselves but in the God of resurrection.
- That all of us not only enjoy the eternal life within us but also impart this life to others in the Body.
LA Bible Distribution Webinars
A present burden, especially with the launch of The Truth Sets US Free, is that as many saints as possible rise up to pray, give, and go to participate in this move of the Lord in the United States. In Los Angeles, our prayer and hope is that the halls be blended, the saints vitalized and the gospel spread throughout the city.
To help the saints enter into this burden, the church in LA will host a series of helpful webinars on Zoom to equip the saints in various topics related to Bible distribution. The dates for these webinars are March 28 from 10:00 to 11:00 am, April 4 and May 9. The subject of the first webinar will be on how to present the NT Recovery Version with footnotes.
All are welcome; translation into Chinese, Korean and Spanish will be provided. May we all gain a taste for sharing the gospel and helping people know Christ and be set free by the truth!
2026 Spring Junior High YP Conferences
The 2026 Spring Junior High Conferences will be held at Oak Glen from March 27 to 29 (brothers) and April 3 to 5 (sisters). The topic is “The Precious Blood of Christ.” In total we have 10 young people across LA participating in these conferences. Please pray:
- That our dear YP see the complete effectiveness of the blood of Christ in dealing with their history of sin, and that such a word release them from any accusation or lingering guilt in their conscience, that they may pursue the Lord in an unhindered way.
- That the Lord use these conferences to blend and companionize all the YP at this crucial time before they enter high school; may each YP find companions that would be a “keeping factor” in their church life going forward.
Spring European University Conference
The 2026 Spring European University Conference will take place this weekend, March 27 to 29, in De Hoof, The Netherlands. The topic is “…His Wife Has Made Herself Ready.” May the Lord draw this generation of students to love Him with the first love and pursue Him to gain Him as their goal and prize.
Please pray:
- That all the conference attendees be carried away in spirit to see the Lord’s heart for them personally and for the church, His bride, corporately.
- That all who see this vision count the cost and offer an uncompromising consecration to our Bridegroom to make themselves ready for His imminent return.
- That the enemy be utterly defeated, exposed, and shamed in the environment and the inner being of all the saints.
- That all the transportation, the health of the saints, and even the weather be covered by the Lord and be exactly what is needed for the release and receiving of the Lord’s speaking during the conference.
Italy – Prato
As a result of the recent Olympics gospel trips and the prayers in the Body, the local saints throughout Italy were greatly strengthened by the shepherding of the visiting saints. Migration is needed to care for the young people and reach more Italians.
In Central Italy, several new university students are now meeting regularly in the homes of the saints in Rome. Near Florence, around 40 saints are burdened to take the ground of the church in Prato; the first Lord’s table meeting there is scheduled for May 17. Hallelujah!
An application form is posted at tinyurl.com/italyshep for saints to participate in follow-up shepherding trips this year. As the Lord leads, saints who are burdened to give for the Lord’s move in Italy may do so through the Church in Los Angeles designated for “Italy Olympics.”
