The Fellowship of the Eternal Life
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” (2 Cor. 13:14)
“And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb in the middle of its street.” (Rev. 22:1)
The fellowship of the eternal life is the reality of living in the Body of Christ in the oneness of the Spirit. We enter into the vertical aspect of the divine fellowship by the divine Spirit, the Holy Spirit; this aspect of fellowship refers to our fellowship with the Triune God in our loving Him. We enter into the horizontal aspect of the divine fellowship by the human spirit; this aspect of fellowship refers to our fellowship with one another by the exercise of our spirit in our loving one another. The one divine fellowship is an interwoven fellowship—the horizontal fellowship is interwoven with the vertical fellowship.
The divine fellowship is everything in the Christian life. When fellowship disappears, God also disappears; God comes as the fellowship. In this divine fellowship God is interwoven with us; this interweaving is the mingling of God and man to bring the divine constituent into our spiritual being for our growth and transformation in life. (Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ (3), msg. 11, II, A-D, 1-2)
May we all pray to enter into the interwoven fellowship for the reality of living in the Body of Christ!
Pursuing Hospitality and the Normal Growth in Life
Romans and Ephesians speak of normal gifts. Romans 12:13 says, “Pursue hospitality.” To take a guest into our home is normal, but it is more difficult than exercising a miraculous gift such as speaking in tongues. Miraculous gifts do not enable the saints to care for guests in their homes without offending or being offended. To give proper hospitality requires normal growth in life. Romans and Ephesians reveal that it is not miracles but growth in life that builds up the church as the Body of Christ. (CWWL, 1970, vol. 2, “The Human Spirit and the Church,” ch. 4: Worshipping in Spirit and Truthfulness, pp. 551-552)
The last mention of the church in the book of Romans regards hospitality: “Gaius, my host and host of the whole church, greets you” (16:23). Without hospitality there is something lacking in the practical church life. If there is no hospitality in a certain church, that church must be poor. However, the more hospitality you have, the richer your church life will be. Gaius was not only the host of one apostle but the host of the entire church…His home was open and available to all the saints. The genuine church life depends upon this kind of hospitality. When a home is open to hospitality, it will be filled with the blessing of Christ. We praise the Lord that the more hospitality we render, the greater will be our experience of the church life. This is practical. (Life-study of Romans, 2nd ed., msg. 30, p. 354)
As many saints give and receive hospitality in the coming weeks, pray for every home and every heart to be filled with God and His attributes of love, light, righteousness, and holiness. Pray for many normal experiences of Christ for the practical church life and the building up of the church as the Body of Christ.
Our Young Working Saints
“Not that I have already obtained or am already perfected, but I pursue, if even I may lay hold of that for which I also have been laid hold of by Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 3:12)
When we grow into the Head, Christ, we are allowing Christ to increase and grow in all the inward parts of the members. Today our common problem is that we reserve a big part within us for ourselves and give the Lord only a little place. Therefore, it is impossible for Him to increase and grow within us. When He cannot grow, we cannot grow…We must allow the Lord to have the proper place in us. We must allow Him to increase, grow, and occupy our whole being, part by part. In this way when you grow in the Lord and I grow in the Lord, the sum total will be the growth of the Body of Christ. In other words, when Christ grows in you and me, the Body of Christ will grow. Hence, the growth of the Body of Christ is the growth of Christ in His members. (CWWL, 1988, vol. 4, “The Perfecting of the Saints and the Building Up of the Body of Christ,” pp. 104-105)
Please pray for the young working saints among us to allow the Lord to have the proper place in them and aspire to be perfected for the building up of the Body.
Italy – Gospel Trips
Thank you for your prayers for the Lord’s move in Italy this winter. In total, 300 saints from 25 countries and 6 continents have signed up to participate in gospel trips from December 4 to February 23. There will be five trips during the Torch Relay (TR) and two trips during the Olympic Games (OL).
The first TR trips to Rome and the Florence area (including the cities of Prato and Fucecchio) run from December 4 to 15. The second TR trips to Sicily and Naples begin this weekend. Please pray:
- For many personal contacts to be made and follow-up appointments to be established with those whom the Lord has marked out in Italy.
- For new ones to be gained and saints to migrate under the Head and in the Body to strengthen the Lord’s testimony in Italy.
- That the Lord will blend the saints together and will advance His move in His recovery.
Saints who would like to participate in follow-up shepherding trips can register using the form at amanatrust.org.uk/page/
FTTL Graduation
This Saturday, December 13, the Full-time Training in London will hold a graduation meeting for the 2025 autumn semester at Woodland Camp, London. Pray that the 8 graduating trainees will continue to love the Lord and to pursue the growth in life and the constitution with the truth to become useful vessels for the building up of the Lord’s testimony in Europe.
Iberian Peninsula Conference
This year’s Iberian Peninsula Conference will take place December 13 to 15 in Torremolinos (Málaga), Spain. Please pray for the blending of the saints and Lord’s timely speaking for the advance of the Lord’s move on the Iberian Peninsula.
Germany – Stuttgart Meeting Hall
In 2023 the church in Stuttgart purchased a building near public transportation and a university, next to a large public park. Then it took more than two years to obtain the change of use and renovation permits. The architect has prepared the renovation plans and is working on detailed structural computations. Renovation is set to begin in December but have only €1 million (about $1.15 million) of the €3 million needed.
Please pray together with us that the funds needed to complete this project can be released for the Lord’s move in this region of Germany. Donations designated for ‘Stuttgart Meeting Hall’ can be made through the Church in Los Angeles or lordsmove.org.
