List, Pray, Visit

John 3:30 says "He must increase." The increase in this verse is the bride in verse 29, and the bride is a living composition of all the regenerated people. This means, in this chapter on regeneration, that regeneration not only brings the divine life into the believers and annuls the satanic nature in their flesh, but it also makes them the corporate bride for Christ's increase. (see note on John 3:30)

For Christ's increase, we should write a list of people for whom we are burdened, people we want to meet the Lord. Then we should pray for them, preferably with a companion. We should continue to pray; some will respond quickly, some will take a long time. Then we should go to visit them, to present a little of Christ to them. Do not overwhelm them; repeated visits with a little dispensing will bring forth results. To go to their home is very good, but we could also meet them at work or at a coffee shop, or contact them by phone, email, text, internet, Twitter, or Facebook. Lord, burden us for people.

The Grace of God

"We make known to you, brothers, the grace of God" (2 Cor. 8:1). The grace of the believers is the issue of God's motivating grace (see note 5 in 2 Cor. 8:7). As reported in the Lord's Day meeting, the financial situation of the church has strengthened considerably in the past six months. We believe that this is a manifestation of God's motivating grace in us. How we thank God for this grace experienced here! May we also beseech Him to keep us in this grace and even to increase it.

Sixth Grade Salvation

Praise the Lord! We now have about a dozen new brothers and sisters in Christ from Los Angeles! Your prayers and the prayers of all the saints in coordination bore fruit this weekend in the mountains. There were probably a hundred or more sixth graders who received the Lord this weekend in a prevailing Spirit-filled time of conviction and enjoyment. Many if not all desire to be baptized into the church as soon as possible. We hope to have a baptism meeting for all to enjoy our new family members Saturday May 19.

Pray these sixth graders can find a home connection and companions in their young Christian lives.

Santa Monica

Please pray for the city of Santa Monica and for the Lord to strengthen His testimony there by raising up some saints for that city. Los Angeles

The joint meeting of the church in Los Angeles with the annual business meeting will be Lord's Day, May 6, at 10 a.m. at L.A. Mission College. Pray for the Lord to release all to attend and to exercise their spirit to enter into the reality of blending.

Speaking Outside the Church Meetings

Outside the church meetings, we can speak to new believers related to us, to unsaved relatives and friends, and to Christians not meeting with us. For this speaking we should learn the truths in the Bible, especially the truths about Christ. As we are learning, we should be speaking. We should not wait. Our practice will cause us to improve. If we are willing to speak, let us give ourselves to the Lord for a fresh beginning. Then each time we speak we will learn and be encouraged. Lord, take us on in this way!

We should also make a list of people and pray over the list with companions. Although the list may be long, in prayer the Lord will anoint us to speak first to certain people on the list. We can continue praying and speaking repeatedly, not seeking a quick response. Our responsibility is to release the truth and to minister life; only the Lord can give the growth.

Sixth Grade Conference

The Southern California Sixth Grade Conference is May 4–6. We will have 17 sixth graders and 13 serving ones going from Los Angeles and Thousand Oaks. There will be 124 sixth graders at the conference.

  • Please pray that the Lord would be so real, so fresh to all these dear sixth graders.
  • Pray that He would appear to each one of them so that they will fall in love with Him.
  • Pray that they would confess their sins and touch the Lord with their spirit.
  • Pray that they all would experience a dynamic salvation that they would never forget.

Korean-Speaking Gospel Report

We invited 80, who we were contacting in our prayer and preaching and shepherding this year, to our gospel feast on April 28th. Praise the Lord, 162 attended including 65 new ones; this is really the Lord's blessing for His Body. We all enjoyed the fattened calf that was prepared by our Father for lost lambs. And we felt the sweeping Spirit in our contacts when we met them in this feast. At the end of this meeting we had these new ones pray for their salvation and they followed us and gained the Lord's blessing. Now the Lord's intent is gaining them as remaining fruits. Our goal is at least 60 new remaining fruits in this year. Please pray for our next step, which is feeding our babies in each small group. We never forget this step "go and feed Lord's lambs."

Santa Monica

Lord, thrust out some couples or families to Santa Monica soon to begin an English-speaking group there (while also having fellowship with the Spanish-speaking groups).

Santa Barbara

Please pray for 1) migration of young couples or families who have experience with college students and 2) gaining of local families with homes open to church life.

Omaha, Nebraska

Omaha is one of the 2012 GTCA cities. On May 5 and 6, Nebraska saints plan to have a BfA table at the Cinco de Mayo celebration in Omaha to distribute free English and Spanish Recovery Versions and Basic Elements of the Christian Life. Over 55,000 people are expected to attend. Please pray that the Lord would bless the sowing of His Word during this event and that He would reach many with the printed materials. Also, please pray that the saints would enjoy a harmonious coordination and one accord in their going out to distribute the free materials and in the follow-up labor thereafter.

Europe

Another series of four one-week trainings at Bower House, London is being conducted 30 April to 26 May. The general subject will be "The Four Great Pillars in the Lord's Recovery: Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel." Please pray for the perfecting of many saints from all over Europe through these trainings.

Full Time Training in Caacupe, Paraguay

A group of full-timers from São Paulo, Brazil recently visited FTT Caacupe (http://www.etc-c.org). During this time of fellowship with the 16 trainees, the burden came out for the need of more saints in every South American country to give themselves to be trained. Please pray for the Lord to open the way for many young people to be released with the support of the local churches. Also, please pray for the current trainees to be supplied throughout the term and to be adequately trained.

Paris Conference Report

Over 200 saints and new ones filled the conference hall. The topic was "The Heart of the Divine Revelation" from the International Chinese-speaking Conference in Taipei. Many new ones being shepherded by the campus team and by the saints, and especially many college-age. Over 20 saints—most of them younger—testified at the end of the conference that they had seen a vision of Christ as the replacement of all our human culture so that He could gain the one new man.

The atmosphere was marvelous--full of exercise of the spirit. We also had a young people's meeting on Saturday night with over 20 young saints from the French-speaking world who are seeking the Lord. Currently two native French brothers are planning to attend the fall 2012 term of the full-time training, and more have expressed an interest in attending the FTTL in the coming year or two.

More is in a report at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer.

Budapest, Hungary

The saints in Budapest and Tata [55 miles form the center of Budapest] will begin to regularly meet on Lord's Day morning with the intention of eventually becoming a golden lampstand in Budapest. Please pray that the Lord will strengthen the saints to be His testimony and will give them a clear vision of the church life on the ground of oneness for the building up of the one Body of Christ in the universe.

Los Angeles

The entire church in Los Angeles will have a joint meeting Lord's Day, May 6, starting at 10 am. We will have the Lord's Table together, ministry of the word, and testimonies of some things the Lord is doing among us. We will also have the annual business meeting of the church.

This meeting will NOT be at our Haskell hall. We have rented a larger facility at Los Angeles Mission College in Sylmar. There will also be rooms for children's meetings and a room for mothers with babies. We will have translation via FM radio. The room has handicapped access. Parking is free. Detailed directions with a map will be distributed by Wednesday of this week.

Ask the Lord to blend us more into the reality of His one Body, to impart more of His living word into each one of us, and to supply us to pursue Him in vitalization, companionization, and gospelizing.

Korean-Speaking Gospel

The Korean-speaking saints in Los Angeles will have a gospel feast Saturday, April 28, 6:30 pm in hall 1. We have 80 new ones invited to this feast. They are almost all our friends, relatives, work colleagues, and lost lambs. We will invite them to dinner followed by a gospel meeting. Please pray for 1) release of these 80 contacts to come to gospel feast, 2) for the atmosphere of Father's love and joy in dinner and meeting, 3) for salvation of new ones, 4) for continuing contact with them for feeding. Lord, gain one remaining fruit per two saints in this year.

South Africa

This week Dick Taylor is caring for the first week of a two-week perfecting training in South Africa. He is assisted by four local brothers. He will return to L.A. on April 30. James Lee, who came back to the U.S. from Ethiopia April 17, leaves again April 27 to return to Africa to take care of the second week, which will conclude May 5. (He will then go to Boston for a while, then Israel, back to Boston, then come back to Southern California).

Many saints have taken off from work to attend this 2 week perfecting training. Please pray that the Lord will enlighten and constitute them all.

Please pray for the Lord's strengthening to Dick, James, and the other traveling brothers.

East Africa

A number of coworkers are traveling in East Africa from mid-April to early May. In addition to the conferences last week in Kenya and Uganda, there will be a visitation to Tanzania (a nation in which the Lord has yet to establish His testimony) in order to meet with a positive contact. Please pray that:

  • The Lord would raise up a lampstand in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo (on the border of Congo and Rwanda). Pray for the brothers as they visit the saints in Goma.
  • The Lord would use this visit to Tanzania, (April 27th to May 1st) to open a door for the ministry, and His testimony. Lord, begin moving toward the church in Dar es Salaam (capital city of Tanzania).

Ethiopia

A young married brother is open to serve the Lord full-time. Pray that the Lord would work out everything for him to serve and for many others to follow him to serve the Lord full-time to meet the need there in Ethiopia. There are 1000's of Christians who are open to the Lord's recovery but there are not enough workers to take care of this need.

San Marcos, California

It is very encouraging what the Lord is doing with college students who have been contacted at Cal State San Marcos and Mira Costa College. There are meetings on campus and in homes (small numbers Mondays and Wednesdays, larger on Fridays) and one-on-one appointments. We have encouraged the students themselves to pick up more responsibility for the Friday meeting. This seems to have really fostered some growth in the 10 to 20 that attend this meeting. A small number of students have also been involved helping cook food.

Last week eleven attended the college conference in Anaheim on the Priesthood and two students were baptized, one at the conference and the other after the prayer meeting in Vista with about twelve students attending and praying for their college classmate and sister. A parent and brother of one of the new students from Cal State attended the baptism and enjoyed the time very much, this being their first contact with the church.

At the current time, the community gospel in San Marcos is continuing through a monthly time of door knocking which involves saints from San Diego, Irvine and Vista.

Please pray for:

  1. Additional positive couples who would move to San Marcos to support and strengthen the campus and community work so the Lord's testimony can be more solidly established.
  2. That the Lord's table can be established in San Marcos this year.
  3. More homes in San Marcos to be opened and families to be gained as a basis for the church life.

Poland

The national conference in Poland is 28 April — May 1. Please pray for the gathering of the saints in Poland and for the advance of the Lord's move in that country through the rich ministry in His recovery. Please pray also for the co-workers' visitation to different cities in Poland following the conference.

Announcements

"The Bountiful Supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ"

Philippians 1:19 contains the secret to experiencing Christ— the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ….Paul and Silas lived in this Spirit and received the supply from the Spirit. Therefore...even in suffering and in prison (Acts 16), they magnified Christ. To preach the gospel is to magnify Christ. As we have seen, it is a matter of the Body, but it also depends on the magnifying of the Lord in our life. Wherever we are, in school or at the store, among neighbors or among relatives, there must be the magnifying of Christ in our life. We cannot preach the gospel only by our word. We have to preach the gospel by magnifying Christ. We need to experience Christ within and learn the secret of how to experience Christ; then we will have an overflow of Christ. This overflowing is the real preaching. (from Preaching the Gospel in the Way of Life, by Witness Lee, ch. 8; it is available online; select the book in the alphabetical list, then select the chapter in the upper right)

Young People

Please pray for all the high school seniors to be one with the Lord in choosing where to go to college.

Africa - This Week

The past weekend through Tuesday Dick Taylor is in Ethiopia. Dick reports that they are having a wonderful time. Mid-week Dick and Paul Cooke from London are in Kenya for much fellowship packed around a short conference. Thursday through Saturday Dick and Paul will be in Uganda for more fellowship packed around another short conference. Dick will then go to South Africa.

  • Pray for more vision of Christ Himself and much enjoyment of Him in the conferences and afterwards.
  • Pray for much life imparted into the mortal bodies of the traveling brothers, and for a bountiful supply of life and light in all their times of fellowship with African saints.
  • Pray that everything during these weeks turn out to salvation so that the Lord can gain Zion in Africa.

Africa - Last Week (a report from Dick Taylor and James Lee)

Since West Africa does not have any video trainings, the conferences in Ghana (James and others) and Nigeria (Dick and others) were on Psalms. The revelation of Christ in Psalms was very encouraging and uplifting to the saints and their response with the exercise of their spirit was the best ever - thank you saints for your prayers! On the Lord's day there were over 440 saints in the conference meeting in Ghana.

About 70 saints under 45 years of age met together with Paul Nii-Aryee (long ago was in church in L.A. as a young boy with his parents; migrated from U.S. to Ghana this month), hungry to be constituted with the ministry. They want to set up some kind of network to encourage one another to go on. Pray for these young adults to continue to rise up for the Lord's moving in West Africa, for life to flow freely.

The ITERO last week with the West African brothers was so rich and encouraging; we all felt we were just under the Lord's shepherding. Even in matters difficult to fellowship, the Lord paved the way. At the conclusion, we sensed the real oneness in the burden to build up His Body and sensed such joy in being with one another—it was truly "How good and How pleasant" because of the Lord's commanded blessing on the oneness. Please tell the saints that their prayers are being answered.

The saints and the people are quite open. However, it is not easy for them to go anywhere to blend—airfare is so expensive and roads are dangerous. Two brothers who tried to come to the conference from Central African Republic had to turn back because they were robbed of all and beaten. Pray for all the saints there to be comforted.

Internet

Ask the Lord to raise up a small internet team in Los Angeles to participate in propagating the ministry and shepherding seeking saints.

Idaho

The churches in Salt Lake City and Lyman, Wyoming invite you to Pocatello, Idaho on the weekend of April 20-22. Our burden this year is different—we encourage the saints to come together to be blended and built up through serving together, to give a weekend to serve the Lord together for His interest and for His move among us. We will go door-to-door in some neighborhoods, have BFA distributions, and distribute gospel tracts. Saturday evening we will have a Bible seminar and/or gospel meeting, depending upon the need. We will also try to have a table on the Idaho State University campus every day the week prior to this weekend for any who could come for all or part of that. Please pray for the manifestation of the Lord's victory here!

BfA Spanish-speaking Perfecting

On Saturday, April 21, over 100 saints from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York will participate in the next section of their Spanish-speaking perfecting training. This will focus on the importance, purpose, and content of the home meetings as a crucial component for the practice of the God-ordained way.

These saints will also begin contacting Spanish-speaking BfA recipients. Because many of these recipients have already expressed an interest in being contacted by BfA volunteers, this is an excellent opportunity for the saints to practice cherishing and nourishing the new ones in the home meetings.

Please pray that:

  • The saints participating in the training be ushered into the practicality of the God-ordained way.
  • Many new meetings be established in the homes of local Bible and book recipients so that they would be shepherded into the practical church life.

France

The annual conference in Paris will be April 21-22.

"Christ Will Be Magnified...to Me, to Live is Christ"

Paul and Silas were put into prison in Philippi (Acts 16:23-25). The magistrates charged the jailer to keep them securely, so he put them into the inner prison and secured their feet in the stocks. At that time Paul and Silas did not preach. They were simply filled with Christ and filled with the Spirit, and at midnight they sang hymns of praise to the Lord. That was not merely preaching in word; that was the expression of Christ, the outward expression of the inner life. That was a strong example of the genuine preaching of the gospel, and the jailer, the keeper of the prison, was saved....The proper preaching of the gospel is the very expression of Christ. (from Preaching the Gospel in the Way of Life, by Witness Lee, chap. 8; it is available online; select the book in the alphabetical list, then select the chapter in the upper right)

College Conference

This weekend college students from across southern California will gather in Anaheim for a conference on the priesthood. Please pray that the Lord would gather many students to receive this word, that their time of taking hospitality in the homes of nearby saints would be blessed, and that through this conference the Lord would gain more of the reality of the New Testament priesthood among His believers.

Junior High Conferences

The junior high brothers' and sisters' conferences are this weekend. Please pray that the junior high brothers and sisters would receive a visitation from the Lord during these conferences. Pray that their hearts would be soft, that the spoken word would be clear and that the atmosphere would allow the Lord to speak to His people's heart.

Sixth Grade Conference Parents and Serving Ones' Training

The sixth grade conference is very important for our young people (many of which have perhaps just recently received the Lord, or will receive the Lord at this conference). Hence, there is an important need for those serving at this conference to come to a special training and preparation fellowship that will be held on Saturday, April 28, 9:30AM to 12:00PM at 1916 W. Ball Rd, Anaheim, 92804.

We ask at least one parent of each 6th grader going to the conference to attend this important time. Also, all the saints planning to go to the conference as serving ones for the 6th graders, as well as any college age saints who are burdened for the 6th graders should attend. To register for this time please go to http://scyp.com and click on "Event Registration."

Africa

Monday through Wednesday Dick Taylor, James Lee, and other traveling brothers will be in Ghana to repeat the eight messages from the recent ITERO in Anaheim. Thursday through next week Monday Dick Taylor and another brother will be in Ethiopia for a conference on Enjoying Christ as Revealed in the Book of Psalms followed by a condensed version of ITERO. Please pray

  • for more vision of Christ Himself and much enjoyment of Him in the conferences and afterwards;
  • that through the trainings many brothers get deeper into the first love for the Lord and living and working one with Him that they may be patterns for all in the churches to follow;
  • for much life imparted into the mortal bodies of the traveling brothers, and for a rich supply of life and light in all their times of fellowship with African saints;
  • that everything during these weeks of travel turn out to salvation so that the Lord can gain Zion in Africa.

Training Registration

The summer training in Anaheim will be July 2-7. The registration deadline is Tuesday, April 24. There will also be video trainings in L.A. Pray for more brothers and sisters, especially those who are younger or who have never been to a training, to be released from other things and stirred to register for Anaheim or video.

Portugal

Please pray for:

  • the word spoken in the March conference to become constituted into the saints for the Lord's expression in Portugal and in the Iberian Peninsula;
  • the gaining of the households that are being contacted in Lisbon and the beginning of a children's meeting so that the next generation can be gained;
  • the Lord to open up a flat for the couple in Lisbon near where they live now, in view of their continuing to have daily contact with the neighboring households.
A one page report from Portugal is at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

Announcements

  1. The deadline to register for the July 2-7 summer training in Anaheim is April 24. Also, register now for video trainings.

  4. Since 2004 LSM has sent five large containers of used books to Africa and India. These books have been a great blessing to seekers there. LSM continues to collect used ministry books in English for further distributions. They suggest that you remove any personal information before donating the books. Bring books to your meeting hall any time throughout this year.

"Christ Will Be Magnified...to Live is Christ"

"For I know that for me this will turn out to salvation through your petition and the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I will be put to shame, but with all boldness, as always, even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death. For to me, to live is Christ…" (Phil. 1:19-21)

The book of Philippians is the unique book that tells us how to experience Christ. The experience of Christ is for the preaching of the gospel, and the preaching of the gospel is the very experience of Christ….When we express Christ, when we live out Christ, and when Christ is expressed through us, there is the preaching of the gospel….When the branches experience the life of the tree, the bearing of fruit eventually comes out. Bearing fruit is the outworking of the inner experience of life….The more the branches properly experience the life of the tree, the more fruit they will bear. In the same way, the preaching of the gospel is the outworking of Christ experienced by us. If we experience Christ, there is the outworking of this life, that is, the preaching of the gospel. (from Preaching the Gospel in the Way of Life, by Witness Lee, ch. 8; it is available online; select the book in the alphabetical list, then select the chapter in the upper right)

Training Registration

The summer training in Anaheim will be July 2-7. The registration deadline is Tuesday, April 24. There will also be several video trainings in L.A. Pray for more brothers and sisters, especially those who are younger and those who have never been to a training, to be released from other things and stirred to register for Anaheim or video.

Santa Monica

The church in L.A. has an on-going work at Santa Monica College, several saints from L.A. work in Santa Monica, and a few who live in Santa Monica meet in hall 5. Three groups of Spanish-speaking saints also meet in Santa Monica. Lord, raise up some English-speaking couples to continue the church life in Santa Monica with the Spanish-speakers and their English-speaking young people and children who are there.

Africa

Please pray for the Lord's move in Africa. From now through May 5 there will be conferences, trainings, and perfecting fellowship in many parts of Africa. The coming weekend Dick Taylor and Tim Knoppe from Michigan will be in Nigeria for a conference; James Lee and Paul Nii-Aryee will be in Ghana for a conference. Next week Monday through Wednesday all four brothers will be in Ghana to repeat the eight messages from last weekend's ITERO in Anaheim. Specific directions for prayer:

  • The conferences will be on Enjoying Christ as Revealed in the Book of Psalms; pray for more vision of Christ Himself and much enjoyment of Him in the conferences and afterwards.
  • Pray that through the trainings many brothers get deeper into the first love for the Lord and living and working one with Him that they may be patterns for all in the churches to follow.
  • Paul and Pamela Nii-Aryee and their three children are migrating from the U.S. to Accra, Ghana for the campus work and to strengthen the church life there.
  • Pray for much life imparted into the mortal bodies of the traveling brothers, and for a rich supply of life and light in all their times of fellowship with African saints.
  • Pray that everything during these five weeks turn out to salvation so that the Lord can gain Zion in Africa.

Malaysia

The annual English-speaking conference in Kuching, East Malaysia is April 6-8. The subject is "The Will of God" as presented by Ron Kangas at the Southeast Blending Conference in Jacksonville, Florida.

  1. Please pray for brothers David Vinson and Ken Walker in their travel and in their care for this conference.
  2. Please pray for the saints to be filled with the full knowledge of His will. Also, pray that the saints would experience the fresh seeing of His will, the knowing of His will, and give themselves to the doing His will.

European Training and Conference

ITERO messages from last weekend in Anaheim will be respoken in London Wednesday and Thursday of this week for responsible brothers of the churches in Europe. This will be followed by a six meeting European conference Friday through Lord's Day for everyone.

New Zealand

This week is the New Zealand National Conference in Auckland. Ask the Lord to take another step in His recovery in New Zealand.

Lyon, France

One sister from here is in FTT. Two others wish to begin FTT London this fall. How much we want to see this first generation of French young people answer the Lord's call! They will become a wonderful pattern to many other young French-speaking saints in college and high school who also have heard the Lord's call in their heart to go to the training one day. In a few years there could be a whole army of young people going forth into the French-speaking world. This is our "dream" from the Lord. We would ask you also to pray for this.

We are regularly contacting 17 native French speakers. A few have entered into the church life. Since the majority of the saints meeting regularly are not native French, there is the probability that most of this majority will one day leave France. Where then will the Lord's testimony be in France? Please join us in praying that many of these native French people will become living stones, even pillars, for His corporate expression in France.

A longer report from Lyon is at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer.

ITERO

The International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones (ITERO) will be Friday to Lord's Day, March 30 to April 1. More than 1000 brothers from around the globe will participate so that the Spirit can speaking to the churches. In April ITERO messages will be respoken in other parts of the world for those who could not come to Anaheim. The burden for this time is that the Lord will make many brothers able ministers of the New Testament, effective building material for the universal building up of the Body of Christ, and good stewards and serving ones in the local churches.

"Fellowship unto the Furtherance of the Gospel" (Phil. 1:5)

In preaching the gospel, we have to learn the Body life. If we are burdened for a neighbor, we will ask some brothers to help us bring this neighbor to the Lord….We will work not just by ourselves, but we will invite the brothers to work together with us in a way of coordination. I say again, if we have the spirit of the Body life, people will sense it. If we have love among us, people around us will sense what we have, and that love and living will be a very strong factor to convince the unbelievers--our neighbors and friends--to open their spirits to the Lord. We need the Body life, and the best way to be built up together is for us to have the fellowship unto the furtherance of the gospel. (from Preaching the Gospel in the Way of Life, by Witness Lee, ch. 8; it is available online; select the book in the alphabetical list, then select the chapter in the upper right)

Santa Monica

The church in L.A. has an on-going work at Santa Monica College, several saints from L.A. work in Santa Monica, and a few who live in Santa Monica meet in hall 5. Three groups of Spanish-speaking saints also meet in Santa Monica. Lord, raise up an English-speaking nucleus to continue the church life in Santa Monica with the Spanish-speakers who are there.

High School

Please pray the Lord bring all the high school young people YP into the reality of the experiences of Isaac and knowing the God of Isaac as the God of provision for His purpose to produce them as burnt offerings who are prepared to be His bride for His satisfaction.

CSUN Spring Break Trips

The CSUN students will participate in two spring break trips next week. Some will attend the FTTA for a few days. At the end of the week, they will visit the saints in Riverside for blending and would like to invite some of their new contacts. Please pray that the students have a good experience and taste of the FTTA and that many new ones can join them for the weekend trip to Riverside.

UCLA (Hall 5) Spring Break Trips

UCLA students are in the midst of spring break trips. Twenty-six are in Florida and 24 are visiting Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Virginia. Please pray that:

  1. The Lord will cover and supply all the saints on these trips.
  2. There would be a sweet blending and building among the students and with the saints visited.
  3. The new ones see the vision of the Body of Christ and taste the sweet church life.

European College-age Conference

The spring European college-age conference will be March 30 - April 2 in Wales. The subject is The Full Ministry of Christ in Three Stages.

Vienna, Austria

Please continue to pray that the Lord will bless the home meeting in the house of the sister and will gain the new ones and their contacts, for the raising up of a lampstand in this key European city.

Bulgaria

Some saints are laboring to translate ministry books into Bulgarian for free distribution. Please pray:

  • For grace to the translators to complete the translation in a timely way;
  • For the preparation of the seeking ones in Bulgaria to receive the rich truths of God's economy;
  • That some of the Lord's seekers will be gained by Him to be His testimony in Bulgaria.

Conference in Italy and First Lord's Table in Rome

We warmly extend an invitation to all the saints to participate in the upcoming weekend conference and first Lord's Table in Rome, Italy on June 15th through 17th. We thank the Lord for the prayers of so many saints and churches throughout the earth. Now, we invite you to consider coming to blend with us that together, as one Body, we might testify of the victory of Christ by taking the ground as the church in Rome. Detailed information and registration for the conference is at http://www.amanatrust.org.uk. The due date is May 15th. Please contact us at italy@amanatrust.org.uk if you have any questions about the conference. We pray the Lord will bless this gathering for His further move in Italy, Europe, and the whole earth.

ITERO

The International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones (ITERO) will be Friday to Lord's Day, March 30 to April 1. Lord, prepare the way for rich dispensing and blending during this time.

"Fellowship unto the Furtherance of the Gospel" (Phil. 1:5)

The move of the preaching of the gospel must be a matter in fellowship, because it is a matter of the Body. If this were a matter of individuals only, there would be no need for fellowship.

In order to be prevailing and fruitful in the preaching of the gospel, we must pay our full attention to the Body life. The more we live in the Body life and have the reality of the Body life, the more we will be fruitful. Such a life will be a strong testimony to our relatives, friends, schoolmates, and neighbors. When all these people see the kind of mutual love we have among us as Christian brothers, they will be very impressed and influenced. This will pave the way and open the door for the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts. To have the real Body life helps us to be prevailing. I believe that this is the very reason why the apostle Paul uses the word fellowship in Philippians 1:5. (from Preaching the Gospel in the Way of Life, by Witness Lee, ch. 8)

Santa Monica

In the 1980s there was an English-speaking church life in Santa Monica. In the early 1990s they moved to west L.A. with a burden for UCLA. As they were moving, the Lord gained a Spanish-speaking group to continue the church life in Santa Monica. Through these decades the church met in the Santa Monica Red Cross building. Use of that building ended this month. Because the largest number among the Spanish-speaking saints now live in Inglewood, they have begun to meet as the church there.

Santa Monica is home to many young professionals. The church has an on-going work at Santa Monica College and several saints from L.A. work in Santa Monica. Let us ask the Lord, as He did in the early 1990s, to again restart the church life in Santa Monica. Lord, raise up an English-speaking nucleus to continue the church life in Santa Monica with the Spanish-speakers who are still there.

Inglewood

As a result of the transition from Santa Monica, the church in Inglewood began meeting this month.

UCLA (Hall 3) and SBCC Spring Break Trip

Over 40 saints and gospel friends, mainly from UCLA and Santa Barbara City College, have registered for our three-day trip (March 24-26) to the Bay area. Please pray for the blending in the Body and the safety on the way.

UCLA (Hall 5) Spring Break Trips

UCLA students will be going on two spring break trips March 24-31. Twenty-six will go to Florida and 24 will go to Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Virginia. Please pray that:

  1. The Lord will cover and supply all the saints on these trips.
  2. There would be a sweet blending and building among all the students on the trips and with the saints in the localities that they will visit.
  3. The new ones see the vision of the Body of Christ and taste the sweet church life.

High School Conferences

The high school brothers' and sisters' conferences are this weekend. Nine high school brothers are registered but we lack one serving brother with a car. Pray for the release of this brother.

Northeast Ohio

The Lord has been moving in northeast Ohio since last year. Saints from the surrounding area are gathering in homes, and on Lord's Day mornings in a rented room in the town of Wickliffe. Among these more than 20 attended the winter training; a few in Anaheim, most by video. Pray for further development in this part of Ohio.

San Luis Obispo

The labor on Cal Poly campus is progressing steadily as we have individual and group times with the students. Thursday is our main day for one on one meetings on the campus but we also make appointments other days. Our campus meeting is Friday and our college dinner and fellowship is Saturday night. Please pray for:

  • saints who are seeking jobs in San Luis Obispo;
  • the upcoming open house on campus where many high school students will be checking out Cal Poly (we will have a table set up for this event);
  • the students that may be going to the College Conference in Southern California.

BfA at Tucson Festival of Books

The Festival was March 10-11. Nearly 200 copies of the New Testament Recovery Version and Basic Elements of the Christian Life were distributed, along with tracts and other ministry materials. Three recipients prayed to receive the Lord and several families with young children indicated that they are seeking fellowship and a place to meet. One believer, the chief of an Indian tribe from New Mexico, came to the booth multiple times to have fellowship with the saints. Several recipients from last year's festival stopped by to share their enjoyment, and one asked to be contacted for a home meeting.

Please pray that:

  • The three who prayed to receive the Lord would remain under shepherding care.
  • The Lord would lead the saints as they contact the open recipients.
  • The Lord would nourish the out-of-state recipients through the ministry and the Word.

Albania

Albania is a nation of about 3 million people; it is adjacent to Greece. It is one of the poorest nations in Europe. A majority of the people are Moslem; others are Albanian Orthodox. A couple from Albania, the Rikas, were in L.A. recently for their daughter Genta's wedding. Last week they were baptized into Christ and into His Body. They testified that their time here was the happiest in their life. Since returning to Albania, they continue to be happy in the Lord and continue to call on Him.

May this interaction between L.A. and Albania cause us to pray for His move there. May the Lord gather a little flock to Himself and in Himself there.

Greece

Please continue to pray that the Lord will gain more homes among the ministry readers in Athens and Thessaloniki in which regular meetings can be held to enjoy the Lord through the ministry.

Русскоязычная Kонференция (Russian-speaking Conference)

The conference will be Friday evening through Lord's Day afternoon, March 23-25, at the meeting hall in Sacramento. There will be messages on "The Line of Life in the Book of Genesis," time for saints to testify, and time outside the meetings for saints to blend. We especially hope that the saints attending this conference will be able to bring seeking friends and relatives who might benefit from the atmosphere and riches of this time.

Father, Your Kingdom Come

In Luke 11:2 Jesus said to His disciples, "When you pray, say, Father, Your name be sanctified; Your kingdom come." Let us pray for the Father's name to be sanctified more and for the kingdom to come more:

  • in us, in our daily living;
  • in the U.S. election process this year;
  • worldwide for the spread of the gospel and the churches;
  • in its full manifestation.

Los Angeles

Ephesians 6:14-15, "Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness and having shod your feet with the firm foundation of the gospel of peace." O Lord, rise up in each one in Los Angeles for the gospel. Lord, gospelize Los Angeles--schools, universities, neighborhoods, offices, markets, parks, and everywhere.

USC

Please pray for the USC spring break trip, March 10-16. Seventeen saints are visiting Boston, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Pray for a blending atmosphere, the exercise of the spirit, the spread of the gospel, and the building up of the Body of Christ!

Young People

Please pray for all the high school seniors to be one with the Lord in choosing where to go to college.

Scotland

The first Lord's table in Edinburgh and Glasgow, Scotland will be March 18.

Turkey

We are translating the Rhema Literature Distribution website (http://www.rhemabooks.org/eng/Language) into Turkish and hopefully can finish it in this month. Please pray for this translation work.

Europe

Pray for the raising up of the Lord's testimony these key European cities: Lisbon, Portugal; Krakow, Poland; Budapest, Hungary; Vienna, Austria; Rome, Italy; Sofia, Bulgaria; Hamburg, Frankfurt, and Munich, Germany.

Our Church Life

In joint meetings November 2008 and December 2011, we stated "Our direction is to build up a vital, group-based, house-to-house church life around campuses and young people with a prevailing testimony of oneness across all languages, halls, and districts." Our weekly prayer should touch this focus by praying, in whatever direction the Lord leads, for colleges, young people, or homes where we are.

Spanish-English Gospel

Many Spanish speakers in and near Los Angeles have responded to the Life-study radio broadcasts. The majority of these listeners are adults in families that include children and teen-agers who prefer English. Ask the Lord of the harvest to thrust out local saints as workers into this field with good coordination among Spanish-speaking and English-speaking saints for the gaining of many families.

GTCA

The gospel trips concluded but the burden to gospelize, truthize, and churchize America continues. Saints are continuing to nourish and cherish those who received New Testaments and books by means of appointments, Bible studies, and home meetings. Do pray to afford the Lord a way to reap a harvest of remaining fruit. Pray for

  • the continued openness of those who were contacted,
  • rich supply to those who are shepherding,
  • a few couples to migrate to each of the cities needing a nucleus as a beginning of the church life.

Middle-age Training

The spring term begins March 12. Ask the Lord 1) to add some "late overcomers" to the training, 2) to prepare all the trainees, and 3) to allow the international trainees to enter the U.S. with no hindrances.

Cal State Channel Islands (CSUCI)

The church in Thousand Oaks started to a Bible study on the CSUCI campus about seven weeks ago. We have two saints on campus. Our Bible study is on Matthew and have five or six at the study most weeks. CSUCI, with about 4000 students, is located in Oxnard about twelve miles from our meeting hall.

On March 2 we had our first Bibles for America distribution on campus. Although it was unusually cold and very gusty, we got 7 student contacts. In 45 minutes, we gave out six Bibles and one additional contact wants to be notified for the Bible study. We really praise and thank the Lord that in such weather students were willing to stand by the table and talk to us.

Please pray for the following:

  1. God will anoint our follow-up effort so that some of our contacts will be remaining fruits.
  2. Some students will attend our Bible study from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the student union every Friday.
  3. The Lord to bless our Bibles for America distribution work which we are planning to hold on campus once a month (next time will be on Friday, March 30 from 9:15 to 10:15AM.
  4. Give us deep enjoyment and understanding of God's word through Bible study.

Bibles for America

March 10-11, Bibles for America will participate in the fourth annual Tucson Festival of Books. It expects to attract more than eighty thousand participants. Volunteers from the church in Tucson will distribute tracts, Basic Elements of the Christian Life and the Recovery Version of the Bible.

Please pray for:

  • The Lord's clear move in the city of Tucson and all of Arizona.
  • The prayer, oneness and blending of all the local volunteers, and that their enjoyment of the Lord could be infused into all who stop by.
  • The footsteps of the hungry and prepared ones would be directed to the booth.
  • Some new solid contacts could be made and those who received the ministry material last year would be stirred up to have more contact.

Portugal

There will be a conference in Portugal March 10-11.

Greece

Three readers of the ministry attended the recent conference in Athens. They all want to meet and read the ministry with the local saints. Praise the Lord! The week before, several trainees from London visited Athens, and 3 young people prayed with them to receive the Lord. The week before that, the full-timers from Athens met with 20 ministry readers in Thessaloniki, and the next day they met with 5 more readers whom they had not previously contacted face to face. Please pray that the Lord will gain more homes in Athens and Thessaloniki in which regular meetings can be held to enjoy the Lord through the ministry.

  5. Since 2004 LSM has sent five large containers of used books to Africa and India. These books have been a great blessing to seekers there. LSM continues to collect used ministry books in English for further distributions. They suggest that you remove any personal information before donating the books. Bring books to your meeting hall any time throughout this year.
