Enjoying Christ on the Genuine Ground of Oneness

"Where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free man, but Christ is all and in all." (Col. 3:11)

"Being diligent to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the uniting bond of peace: one Body and one Spirit, even as also you were called in one hope of your calling." (Eph. 4:3-4)

We all must learn that in this universe God has chosen only one place, and that place is the church. God requires us to go to this place He has chosen. Spiritually speaking, we must destroy every place other than the church and every name other than the name of Christ. We must destroy everything that damages the oneness of the one new man. Then we will simply be in the church life enjoying Christ as the riches of the good land. As we enjoy Him with God, we will be planted in the house of the Lord, we will grow, and we will flourish.

The genuine oneness—the oneness according to the nature of God—is an all-inclusive, comprehensive oneness that includes all positive things. All the godly things and all the spiritual riches are ours on the genuine ground of oneness.

On the one hand, we must admit that we are still quite short and have a long way to go. On the other hand, we can testify that the Lord's riches surely are to be found in His recovery! (CWWL, 1979, vol. 2, "The Genuine Ground of Oneness," pp. 288-289, 243, 330)

Hall 2 Oak Glen Retreat

This weekend, December 16 through 18, over 100 saints and children of all ages from the Valley will head to Oak Glen Christian Conference Center for an intimate time of loving the Lord. The general theme of the time will be "Love Is the Most Excellent Way."

Please pray for a sweet time of blending and that we all would enter into the reality of loving the Lord, loving one another, and loving others. Also pray for the saints to be refreshed for a new start with the Lord in 2023.

Belgium

There will be a conference in Brussels, Belgium this weekend, December 16 to 18. Please pray for the release of the Lord's rich word to all the saints and for the blending of the saints for the reality of the Body of Christ.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Lord will keep all the saints in the involved countries open to Him for their experience of the divine dispensing in all the situations of their daily living.
  • The brothers who are fighting in the war will be preserved by the Lord in their tripartite being.
  • The Lord will shepherd the refugees and establish them in the church life.
  • The local saints, serving ones, and trainees will be blended with the refugees by being through the cross and by the Spirit to minister Christ to one another for the building up of the Body.
  • Saints in all countries involved will be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man.
  • The tripartite being of saints in besieged cities will be protected and preserved for the Lord's interests.
  • The Lord will comfort and sustain those who have lost loved ones in the war.
  • The enemy will be bound in his attack on the Lord's interests in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.

Vietnam

Pray for the ministry of the age to spread to the whole country and gain good materials for the building up of the Body through the distribution of seven Rhema books.

Eswatini

Eswatini, formerly called Swaziland, is one of the smallest countries in Africa bordered by South Africa and Mozambique. The Lord has been moving swiftly in this country this year. One family from Asia migrated to the capital, Mbabane, for work, and this has strengthened the church life. Furthermore, some students, having touched the church life abroad, have returned to Eswatini as active participants. As a result, the number of saints in the church life has grown from a mere handful to 25, though the table meeting has not yet been established. The frequent traffic and blending with saints from South Africa has also been a source of blessing and encouragement.

Please pray that the Lord would establish the existing saints in Eswatini and release their function gradually by strengthening their life, vision and burden. For His purpose, also pray for more saints to visit and even to consider migrating there.

Reaching the High Peak of God's Eternal Economy by Praying

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and dine with him and he with Me." (Rev. 3:20)

"And I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him a hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads." (Rev. 14:1)

In the book of Revelation what the Lord wants and what the Lord will build up is Zion, the overcomers. This is the intrinsic reality of the spiritual revelation in the holy Word of God. We surely need to be desperate to pray at any cost and to pay the cost just as the apostle Paul did.

There is no other way to reach the high peak of God's eternal economy, the reality of the Body of Christ, except by praying. Our becoming the overcomers as the reality of the Body of Christ to be the bride of Christ will close this age, the age of the church, and will bring Christ as the King of glory back to take, possess, and rule over this earth with His overcomers in the kingdom age. (CS 1 and 2 Kings, msg. 10, II.B, E)

Semiannual Video Training

For saints in Los Angeles and Santa Clarita, the firm registration deadline for the upcoming Semiannual Video Training is this Lord's Day, December 11 ($130). Information and registration are at http://tinyurl.com/wintertrainingla.

This training will be a crystallization-study of Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. In preparation, saints are encouraged to read the Recovery Version text with footnotes and the Life-studies.

Pray for as many saints as possible to be released and available to attend. May the Lord grant us to treasure these trainings and seize every opportunity to attend them not only to see the intrinsic essence of the divine revelation but also to serve as a proper audience for the unhindered release of the crystals in the Word of God.

UCLA Winter Blending Trip

From December 10 to 13, 24 saints from UCLA (18 students, 6 serving ones) will travel to Boise, Idaho to blend with the saints there. Please pray that everyone would enjoy the reality of the one Body, get out of their comfort zone to blend with others, and experience the all-fitting life during their travels.

Liverpool, United Kingdom

Following much prayer, fellowship, and recent migrations, according to the Lord's arrangement, the first Lord's table in Liverpool will take place this weekend, December 11. The saints there are full of joy that the Lord is gaining another city for His testimony, and they exercise their spirit of faith to believe that the Lord will continue to grow, increase, and spread in the UK and Europe for the glory, honor, and praise of the Triune God! Please pray for a strong start and healthy continuation of the church in Liverpool.

Turkey

Pray for Rhema readers who are open to this ministry and seeking the Lord; may the Lord speak to them continually, save them from religion, bring them to participate in the church life and perfect them.

Zambia

The church life in Zambia started in 2002 through the visitation of saints from South Africa. In the past few months the Lord has intensified His move through the stay of two brothers from Asia who have labored to shepherd, establish, and perfect the saints.

Through the saints' enjoyment and functioning, there has also been a significant increase in the number of new ones. While about 41 saints gather regularly on the Lord's Day, another 70 seeking ones also participate in the church life. Most gatherings take place in the capital city of Lusaka, as well as in Livingstone, a border town next to Victoria Falls.

Experiencing the Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity

"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." (2 Cor. 13:14)

"Blessed be the Lord, who day by day loads us with good; God is our salvation." (Psa. 68:19)

According to the entire revelation of the sixty-six books of the Bible, the Divine Trinity—the Father, the Son, and the Spirit—is for God's dispensing, that is, for the distribution of God into His chosen people. God is triune so that He can dispense Himself into us, work Himself into us, for us to enjoy so that we can be built up to be the Body of Christ and prepared to be the bride of Christ for His second coming when the kingdom of the world becomes the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ to reign forever and ever.

As believers in Christ, we simply need to love he Lord and keep ourselves open to Him, giving Him every opportunity to do everything He wants to do, and we need to be satisfied with a life of ordinary days in the regular and normal experiences in the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity according to the miraculous normality of the divine economy. (2022 Thanksgiving Conference, Key Statements 4, 3)

Please pray that the Lord's up-to-date speaking in the Thanksgiving Conference will result in the saints' uplifted and intensified experience of the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity for the divine economy in the building up of the Body and the preparation of the bride for the Lord's coming.

The Glory of God and Economy of God

"And the glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, even as We are one." (John 17:22)

"When Christ our life is manifested, then you also will be manifested with Him in glory." (Col. 3:4)

The glory of God is intrinsically related to the economy of God. God's eternal goal is to bring His many sons into glory for the eternal corporate expression—the New Jerusalem. God has predestinated us to obtain His glory so that we may express Him; thus, the goal of God's predestination is our glorification. Through the gospel of the glory of God, God has called us by and into His eternal glory.

As we behold and reflect the glory of the Lord, we are being transformed into the Lord's image from glory to glory. God the Father is moving within us as the God of all grace so that we may participate in His eternal glory and even become the glory of God. The glory of God in the economy of God involves the high peak of the divine revelation—God becoming man so that man may become God in life, nature, and function but not in the Godhead. (CS 1 & 2 Kings, msg. 9, IV, A-B, E, G-I)

FTTA

The application deadline for the Spring 2023 term of the Full-time Training in Anaheim is Wednesday, November 30. Please pray for many college graduates, young working saints, and middle aged saints to answer God's call to go to the training next term.

  • The Lord will comfort and sustain those who have lost loved ones in the war.
  • The enemy will be bound in his attack on the Lord's interests in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.

Botswana

The church life in Botswana began in 2014. Currently, there are 20 saints enjoying the church life. Five of them have completed two years of the Full-time Training in Pretoria, South Africa. The saints in the capital, Gaborone, have been endeavoring to practice the God-ordained way, and about 15 new ones are being shepherded regularly. At the end of August, 50 locals returned from Israel, where they had some contact with the saints; 10 of them are now receiving ministry portions and open to further contact.

The Lord has also blessed the translation work of the ministry into the local language, Setswana. Two booklets have been completed (The Basic Elements of the Christian Life, Vol. 1 & 2), and The All-Inclusive Christ is being translated. Please pray that the Lord will establish a strong, bright and shining lampstand in the city of Gaborone and bring all the new ones into the church life.

Growing into a Holy Temple in the Lord

"Out from whom all the Body, being joined together and being knit together through every joint of the rich supply and through the operation in the measure of each one part, causes the growth of the Body unto the building up of itself in love." (Eph. 4:16)

"In whom all the building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord." (Eph. 2:21)

In Christ, who is the cornerstone, "all the building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord." Since the building is living, it is growing because it is organic. This building is growing into a holy temple, a holy dwelling place of God. This indicates that the holy temple is a living building. Apparently, growth and building are separate things; actually, the building of the house is the growth of the Body. The growth of the Body depends on the growth of God, the addition of God, the increase of God, within us. For God to give us growth actually means that He gives us Himself. The more God is added to us, the more growth He gives.

The threefold God—God the Father, the Son, and the Spirit—is dispensing Himself into us as life and as our life supply. As long as the processed and consummated Triune God is dispensing Himself into us as life, we are nourished and we grow. In the churches we should care for the genuine growth through the dispensing of the divine life. (CS 1 & 2 Kings, msg. 8, III, C, 1-2, 4.a, 4.b(1)-(2), 5.a-c)

Thanksgiving Conference

The general subject of this weekend's Thanksgiving Conference in Washington, DC is "The Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity for the Divine Economy." For the church in Los Angeles, we will gather by languages on Zoom and/or in-person. Details will be communicated by hall.

Let us prepare ourselves for this upcoming time of ministry and sanctify these days for the hearing of faith among us. Pray for the full release of the Lord's word and burden during this weekend. May the Lord bless His recovery through His speaking and dispensing of Himself more into us to accomplish the goal of His eternal economy, the New Jerusalem.

Southern California College Conference

Thank you for your prayers for our second and final college conference, which took place at Oak Glen this weekend. Over 200 saints gathered from colleges across Southern California (including UCLA, CSUN, and LA community colleges), as well as some traveling from the Central Coast. From LA, 62 saints participated, including students, recent college graduates, trainees, and working saints. The weekend was full of God's appearing! All who participated certainly received a fresh infusion of faith.

Please pray that everyone who attended would continue steadfastly in what they saw and heard. May the God of glory appear to each one daily and infuse them with Himself as faith through His Word!

Tajikistan

Pray for the saints to receive grace and progress in language learning daily that they can present the truth and minister life to others. Pray for the saints to abide in the vine, absorb His riches, and become fruitful branches; may the Lord bless the saints with two fruits in the coming six months.

Experiencing Christ as the Materials for God's Building

"For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's cultivated land, God's building." (2 Cor. 3:9)

"To know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death." (Phil. 3:10)

In order to become materials for God's building, we need to experience Christ in His death (signified by cypress), Christ in His resurrection (signified by cedar), and Christ as the Spirit (signified by olive wood). The crucified and resurrected Christ, who is the all-inclusive Spirit of Jesus Christ and the presence of the processed Triune God, is the reality of the materials for the building up of the church as the temple of God, the enlargement and expansion of Christ.

We need to allow the crucified and resurrected Christ as the Spirit to build Himself into our being so that we can have the fullest enjoyment of Christ in order to be good stewards of the varied grace of God (the rich supply of life) for the building up of the church as the temple of God.

The real Christian life for the building up of the church as the temple of God is a life of the crucified and resurrected Christ as the life-giving Spirit being built into our being so that we are being conformed to His death by the power of His resurrection to be renewed day by day and transformed from glory to glory for His glory in the church. (Crystallization-study of 1 and 2 Kings, msg. 7, I, A-B, VII)

Southern California College Conference

Around 200 saints are gathering at Oak Glen from November 18 to 20 for the second of two college conferences. This weekend's conference is composed mostly of UC students in Southern California. The messages on "Walking by Faith" will reveal the way to walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham. Approximately 75 saints from UCLA and CSUN have signed up.

Please pray that the Lord would grant each one a personal appearing from the God of glory to be infused with Him as faith so that they can live a life of faith, trusting in God and being one with God to carry out His purpose on the earth. Also pray that the Lord would particularly shepherd all the students attending the conference for the first time. May they enjoy touching the Lord in their spirit and blending with students across Southern California.

SCYP Children's Work Conference

The Children's Work Conference this Saturday, November 19 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm is for parents with children under 12 years of age and for the saints who are serving with the children's service. This year's conference will be conducted in a hybrid format with an in-person location in Anaheim. Translation will be provided into Chinese, Korean, and Spanish. Matters related to the burden and vision for the children will be covered along with practical fellowship related to raising up the next generation for the church life. Please coordinate with the children's serving ones in your hall if you have any questions.

Thanksgiving Conference

Please pray for the advance of the Lord's recovery through the release of His up-to-date speaking and the blending of the saints in the Thanksgiving Blending Conference to be held in person in Washington, DC, from November 24 to 27. The messages will also be available to watch online.

European University Conference

This weekend, November 18 to 20, the university students in Europe will gather for a conference on "The Faith of the Son of God." This conference will be held concurrently in the UK and in Germany. Please pray for:

  • All those who have registered to be released inwardly and outwardly to attend.
  • All those serving to be richly supplied and sweetly and harmoniously coordinated for the advance of the Lord's move during this crucial weekend.
  • The hearts of all those attending to be softened and prepared for the Lord's speaking, shining, and infusing, that each one will meet the Lord personally and corporately.
  • The weather to be the very best for the saints' travel and experience during the conference
  • The enemy to be bound in every way and to be put to an open shame in every aspect of the conference and in the lives of our next generation

Germany – Stuttgart Meeting Hall

We thank the Lord that the purchase contract for the meeting hall in Stuttgart has been signed! The location is excellent: close to where many saints live and to the university, with easy access to public transport; next to the property is a public park with playgrounds and spacious green areas for picnics, recreation, and gospel outreach. Renovation will be extensive due to the age of the building.

Please continue to pray for the release of the finances needed for the acquisition and renovation of this meeting hall. Saints in LA who are burdened to contribute may give through the Church in Los Angeles designated for 'Stuttgart Meeting Hall'.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Russian and Ukrainian brothers fighting in the war will be preserved in their tripartite being.
  • The Lord will shepherd the refugees and establish them in the church life.
  • The local saints, serving ones, and trainees will be blended with the refugees by being through the cross and by the Spirit to minister Christ to one another for the building up of the Body.
  • The saints in Russia and Ukraine will be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man.
  • The tripartite being of saints in besieged cities will be protected and preserved for the Lord's interests.
  • The enemy will be bound in his attack on the Lord's interests in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.

As the Lord leads, saints may give through the Church in Los Angeles designated for 'Ukraine'.

Going On with the Lord

"Therefore leaving the word of the beginning of Christ, let us be brought on to maturity." (Heb. 6:1a)

"In whom all the building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in spirit." (Eph. 2:21-22)

Within us there is a hunger and thirst for something higher in the church life than we have yet experienced. The dissatisfaction that we sense is really not ours but the Lord's. The Lord within us is aspiring to go on from the tabernacle church life in the wilderness of the soul to the temple church life with Christ, the all-inclusive Spirit, as the reality of the good land in our spirit. (CWWL, 1979, vol. 1, "Life Messages, Volume 2," p. 280-281; Crystallization-study of 1 & 2 Kings, msg. 6, I)

Just as the temple was the enlargement of the tabernacle, may the church gradually be strengthened and enlarged, and may the saints' spiritual experiences also gradually be renewed and enlarged!

Life's Washing in Love for the Church Life

"If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet… If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them." (John 13:14, 17)

Each of us must learn how to love the brothers and sisters by ministering the spiritual foot-washing to them… This is what we need. This is the real love that maintains the fellowship among us. It is by this kind of foot-washing and wiping that the spiritual fellowship can maintain the church life. Without it, the church life cannot be maintained, because the fellowship will have been damaged by the earthly touch. We need the spiritual foot-washing to cleanse us from the earthly touch and to keep our spiritual fellowship in a good condition. Then it is possible to realize the church life.

If the church life is to be kept fresh, new, pleasant, and living, we continually need this foot-washing. Every local church needs this… Every church needs to pray for this. Then the church will be preserved in newness and freshness. (Life-study of John, ch. 28, pp. 342-343)

United States

"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men; on behalf of kings and all who are in high position, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all godliness and gravity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of our Savior God, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth." (1 Tim. 2:1-4)

The U.S. midterm elections conclude on Tuesday, November 8. All the seats in the House of Representatives are up for election, alongside one-third of the Senate; several major states, including California, also have elections for their governor and local officials, including the mayor of Los Angeles.

Pray to release on earth the authority of the "Ruler of the kings of the earth" (Rev. 1:5) for His choice of elected officials. We pray for the heavens to rule and for the outcome to advance God's interests in our city and state, in this country, and over the whole earth.

Bibles for America

In April of this year, BfA began giving away free physical copies of Basic Elements of the Christian Life, vols.1-3. Since then, over 10,000 of these book sets have been sent out to people all over the country. Please pray that all those who receive these books would read them and would advance in their life with the Lord. Pray also that the volunteers who faithfully package these book sets would be strengthened and supplied to fulfill the constant stream of orders in a timely way.

Southern California College Conference

Thank you, saints, for your prayers for the first college conference, which took place at Oak Glen this past weekend. The Lord truly answered our prayers! We had 281 saints from Southern California in attendance. The singing was high and the Lord's speaking was rich and fresh! From USC, 27 saints participated, including trainees, local saints, students and some recent college graduates. Everyone who signed up made it to the conference and enjoyed the Lord's speaking.

Please pray that the Lord would cause all of those who attended to continue steadfastly in all that they saw and heard. Pray that they would enjoy the Lord's appearing every day this week!

Sri Lanka

The official languages in Sri Lanka are Sinhala and Tamil, and English is widely used in formal contexts. For translation of the ministry, the serving ones mainly focus on Sinhala and obtain materials in Tamil from India. Since the Sinhala NT Recovery Version project began in May 2021, the team has completed all verses, footnotes, and outlines of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. The entire project is scheduled to finish in five years. At present, please pray for the printing of the Sinhala Recovery Version of the Gospel of Matthew and the translation of the Epistle of 1 Corinthians.

Rejecting Our Natural Being and Exercising Our Mingled Spirit

"For we are the circumcision, the ones who serve by the Spirit of God and boast in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh." (Phil. 3:3)

"Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone wants to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me." (Matt. 16:24)

We need to see the difference between our natural ability and the ability that has passed through death and resurrection. We need to realize the impotence, the insufficiency, of our natural being and natural ability in the things of God. We should not have any trust in our natural being in the things of God; rather, we must learn to reject our natural being and exercise our spirit in everything for the organic building up of the Body of Christ.

In the Lord's recovery today, we should pay our full attention to the mingled spirit, the Spirit mingled with our spirit, and should live, walk, and have our being in and according to this mingled spirit so that we can truly reign in life (Rom. 8:4; 5:10, 17). (CS 1 & 2 Kings, msg. 5, III.A, B, IV.E)

Life's Washing in Love to Maintain Fellowship

"If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet." (John 13:14)

Who are the ones who need washing, and who are the ones who have to wash others' feet? The Lord said, "You also ought to wash one another's feet" (John 13:14). This tells us that we all need the washing. Those who were spiritually fresh but who have lost their freshness need the washing. Every one of us needs our feet washed, and every one of us needs to be prepared to wash others' feet… Among all the services that Christians minister to one another, nothing is more crucial or more precious than foot-washing. "If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them" (v. 17).

In order to wash others' feet, we must have the water; that is, we must be filled with the Holy Spirit and be in constant fellowship with the Lord. For this cause we must live in the Holy Spirit daily. Only then will we have the living water to wash others' feet. Every time we come to the meeting, we must have the living water to wash others' feet. (CWWN, vol. 42, pp. 240, 282)

Southern California College Conference

About 275 saints will gather at Oak Glen from November 6 to 8 for the first of two college conferences. This weekend's conference is intended primarily for semester system schools. The messages on "Walking by Faith" will reveal the way to "walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham" (Rom. 4:12). From Los Angeles, approximately 20 saints from USC plan to attend.

Please pray that the Lord would grant each saint a personal appearing from the God of glory to be infused with Him as faith so that they can live a life of faith, trusting in God and being one with God to carry out His purpose on the earth. Also pray that the Lord would particularly shepherd all the students for whom this will be their first college conference. May they enjoy touching the Lord in their spirit and blending with students across Southern California.

Furthermore, this Lord's Day, November 6 is the first deadline for UCLA and CSUN students to sign up for the second conference. Please pray for many to consecrate that weekend (November 18 to 20) to the Lord and pay the price to come and fellowship with Him in spirit on the mountain.

Germany and Switzerland

The two weeks of gospel trips, which concluded on October 23, had 90 local saints and 62 visitors participate in distributing 2627 NT Recovery Versions and nearly 18,000 tracts in at least 16 cities. Please continue to pray for:

  • Personal follow-up with the hundreds of people who gave their contact information.
  • The Lord to enlighten all who received a Bible or tract.
  • The saints in the churches to be brought into a regular gospel living.

Zürich, Switzerland

The resumption of the Lord's table in Zürich, together with a mini-conference, will be held this weekend, November 5 to 6. Praise the Lord! Please pray that the Lord will advance His move in Europe through the blending of the saints, that the saints would gain a fresh vision of the Lord's recovery, and that the Lord would have a wonderful new beginning of His testimony in the city of Zürich.

Rome, Italy

This week, from October 31 to November 4, there is a blending and gospel trip taking place in Rome. Please pray for the blending of the saints and the bearing of remaining fruit through the gospel for the strengthening of the Lord's testimony in this city.

Bangladesh

Last May, the church in Dhaka felt that the number of baptisms was very measly, so they desperately went before the Lord to ask for fruit. The Lord was faithful and the saints soon came in contact with a student who readily accepted to be baptized. This was a comfort and encouragement to the saints that nothing is impossible in the matter of propagation; we just need to persevere and be desperate before the Lord, to go before men, and to lead them to salvation through prayer, the Spirit, and the word. By the end of May, a total of 6 brothers and sisters had gotten saved and baptized. Hallelujah!

Life's Washing in Love to Maintain Fellowship

"…Jesus knowing that His hour had come for Him to depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the uttermost….Then He poured water into the basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded." (John 13:1, 5)

"If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet." (John 13:14)

In our experience the washing water in John 13 signifies the Holy Spirit, the word, and life. The Lord washes our feet by the work of the Holy Spirit, by the enlightenment of the living word, and by the operation of the inner law of life.

This is not the washing away of our sins by the blood. Spiritual foot-washing saves us from staleness in our fellowship with the Lord. The world is dirty, and we, the saints, are easily contaminated. For us to maintain pleasant fellowship with the Lord and with one another, we need spiritual foot-washing carried out both by the Lord in His love and by one another in love. (October ITERO, msg. 5, III.A-C)

Pray for the adequate supply of the Spirit, word, and life to all the saints so that they can be washed and with which they can wash others. May the church life in Los Angeles be kept fresh and new by our mutual foot-washing with the living water of life.

Solomon's Splendid Kingdom Typifying Christ's Kingdom

"Lift up your heads, O gates; and be lifted up, O long enduring doors; and the King of glory will come in. Who is the King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty! Jehovah mighty in battle!" (Psa. 24:7-8)

Solomon's splendid kingdom, with his prosperity under the rich blessing of God, is a type of Christ's kingdom in the millennium… Solomon was glorified in the kingdom of Israel with the splendor of his kingdom; this is a prefigure of Christ in the millennium. At His second coming Christ will take possession of the earth, which has been given to Him as His possession, and will establish God's kingdom on the whole earth, thus recovering God's right over the earth. (CS 1 & 2 Kings, msg. 4, I.B, II)

We, the believers in Christ… have received God into us, and He is continuously working Himself into our constitution to make us God in life and in nature (but not in the Godhead). According to Romans 5:17, we reign in the life which we have received. To be today's overcomers we must reign as kings in life… If we mature in this age, we will reign as kings in life in this age and will be the co-kings with Christ in the next age to rule over the nations. (LS 1 & 2 Kings, p. 43)

Semiannual Training Registrations

This Lord's Day, October 30 is the firm deadline for saints in LA and Santa Clarita to register for the upcoming in-person December Semiannual Training in Anaheim ($205). Video training registrations will be due December 11 ($130). To register, go to https://tinyurl.com/wintertrainingla.

May the Lord grant us to highly value the semiannual trainings and encourage others to have a heart for these trainings, and may the Lord grace us to bear the burden to pray for the semiannual trainings so that He as the seven Spirits of God may have an unhindered way to continue to speak the present truth to the churches. (From the September issue of "Having This Ministry…")

North American Korean-speaking Conference

This weekend, October 29 to 30, there will be an online conference for all the Korean-speaking saints in North America. Meetings are Saturday 3:00 to 6:00 pm and Lord's Day 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The fellowship will be on the subject of the recent October ITERO—"Loving the Lord and Loving One Another for the Organic Building Up of the Church as the Body of Christ."

Pray for as many Korean-speaking saints as possible to attend for the blending of the Body and the up-to-date word of the New Testament ministry.

European Brothers Training and Blending Conference

The European Brothers Training and International Blending Conference will be in Baarlo, The Netherlands, October 25 to 30. Please pray for the Lord's rich speaking to the leading brothers and the saints for the advancement of His move in Europe.

Over 800 adults and 200 children are registered for the blending conference. The saints are joyful that the Lord has made it possible for the churches in Europe to gather in this way for the first time since 2019, and pray that His testimony will continue to spread city by city in all of Europe! Please pray for:

  • The ministering brothers to be strengthened body, soul and spirit for the release of the Lord's word.
  • The blending of the churches and the saints.
  • The advance of the Lord's recovery in Europe through the word of the ministry and the fellowship released in this time.

Germany and Switzerland

The gospel trips concluded on October 23. Please continue to pray that the Lord will gain many Germans and Swiss as remaining fruit through the preaching of the gospel and the shepherding of the new contacts. Pray also for the spread of the Lord's testimony in all the cities through the gospel trips.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Russian and Ukrainian brothers fighting in the war will be preserved in their tripartite being.

  • The tripartite being of saints in besieged cities will be protected and preserved for the Lord's interests.
  • The enemy will be bound in his attack on the Lord's interests in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.

Timor-Leste

Timor-Leste, or East Timor, is a Southeast Asian nation with less than 1.5 million inhabitants, most of whom are Catholic. The two official languages are Portuguese and Tetum, with English and Indonesian designated as working languages. Pray for the church life in Dili, the capital and largest city. May the Indonesian-speaking, Tetum-speaking, and Chinese-speaking saints participate in the church life and be blended for the building up the Body of Christ.

The Ministry of Grace in Life

"And he [Elisha] went out to the source of the water and threw salt there; and he said, Thus says Jehovah, I have healed this water; there will not be any more death or barrenness from there." (2 Kings 2:21)

"For if, by the offense of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ." (Rom. 5:17)

Elisha was a type of Christ in doing miracles of grace in life. Elijah did some great miracles, such as closing up the heavens so that it might not rain and calling down fire from heaven to consume the burnt offering and the water that had been poured upon it. However, when Elisha came in to replace him, he did not perform wonders. Instead, Elisha did miracles of grace in life.

Grace is God doing everything for us by giving Himself to us as our enjoyment. This grace issues in the divine life, which is rich and high, even unto making us co-kings with Christ… More than any other prophet, Elisha did things that, in type, were the same as what the Lord Jesus did in reality. In principle, Elisha and the Lord Jesus did the same thing, performing miracles of grace in life. (Life-study of 1 & 2 Kings, pp. 85-86)

In the decline of the church and in suffering for the church, the gift of power is not as much needed as the grace in life. According to the New Testament, miraculous gifts may have a place when the church is first raised up. But for the church to withstand decline or persecution, miraculous gifts or powers are not very helpful. Only the eternal life on which we are to lay hold is prevailing. By this life we can withstand decline and persecution. (Life-study of 2 Timothy, pp. 71-72)

Let us pray for the prevailing ministry of grace in life to be raised up that can withstand all decline and persecution in the suffering of this age.

The Church in Los Angeles

The whole church in Los Angeles—all halls, districts, and languages—will meet together at 10:00 am this Lord's Day, October 23 at the LA Convention Center. Further details will be announced by hall.

Please pray for the timely speaking of the Lord to shepherd all the saints in the church to be brought on for the sake of His testimony in Los Angeles. Pray that through this blending meeting all the saints would be encouraged to love the Lord and love one another for the organic building up of the church as the Body of Christ.

Southern California High School Conferences

The Spring 2022 High School Conferences will be held October 21 to 23 with sisters in Cerritos and brothers in Huntington Beach. The topic is "The Tree of Life." Please pray for our high schoolers to enjoy Christ as life (John 6:57) and learn to live according to this life (Rom. 8:6). Pray also that they would be encouraged by and blended with other young people across Southern California.

Germany and Switzerland

In this second week of gospel trips from October 17 to 23, the visiting saints will be divided into smaller teams and join the local saints in target cities, where the saints have been laboring faithfully with the view of raising up new lampstands. Please pray that the Lord will gain many young Germans and Swiss as remaining fruit through the campus labor at the beginning of the university year. Pray also for the spread of the Lord's testimony in all the cities through these gospel trips.

Frankfurt, Germany

The church in Frankfurt will do some outdoor literature distribution this weekend to coincide with the Frankfurt Book Fair, which will be October 19 to 23. Pray for the one accord and harmony in the saints' service as the master key to every blessing in the NT and "that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified" (2 Thes. 3:1)!

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Russian and Ukrainian brothers fighting in the war will be preserved in their tripartite being.
  • The Lord will shepherd the Ukrainian refugees in Europe and establish them in the church life.
  • The local saints, serving ones, and trainees will be blended with the Ukrainian refugees for the strengthening and building up of the Lord's testimony in key European cities.
  • The enemy will be bound in his attack on the Lord's interests in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.

Tajikistan

Tajikistan is a secular Muslim country in Central Asia with a population of 9 million. The main language is Tajik, but most people are also fluent in Russian. The largest city is the capital, Dushanbe.

At present, there is no testimony of the Lord's recovery in Tajikistan, but several saints have received the burden to migrate. May the Lord open the door for the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom. May He protect and bless the saints' going, and enable them to spread the gospel wisely and gain vessels prepared by Him. Also pray for more saints to receive the burden and go for propagation in coordination.

To read a report from some brothers who visited Tajikistan over the summer, see the October 2022 issue of the Lord's Move to Asia newsletter:

Four Crucial Journeys to Enter into the Ministry of the Age

"And Elijah said to Elisha, Stay here, for Jehovah has sent me as far as Bethel. And Elisha said, As Jehovah lives and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they went down to Bethel." (2 Kings 2:2)

"But moreover I also count all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord… that I may gain Christ." (Phil. 3:8)

Elisha's following of Elijah from Gilgal to Bethel, from Bethel to Jericho, and from Jericho to the river Jordan shows that in order to enter into the ministry of the New Testament age, we should intrinsically follow the minister of the age according to the vision of the age. To do this we must follow the Lord through four crucial places:

  1. Gilgal, the place where God's people were circumcised to deal with their flesh; it is the place where the flesh is judged and the place where God gives us the light to judge the flesh.
  2. Bethel, which is the place to give up the world and turn to God absolutely, taking God as everything; Bethel refers to victory over the world.
  3. Jericho; it was the first city that Joshua and the people of Israel had to defeat when they entered into the good land, and it signifies God's enemy, Satan.
  4. The river Jordan; this river, where the New Testament baptism began, signifies death; crossing the river Jordan is overcoming death in order to live and minister in resurrection.

If we want to receive the rapture of Elijah and a double portion of the spirit with the power of the Holy Spirit, we must pass through Gilgal, Bethel, Jericho, and the river Jordan. In order for the age to be changed from the Old Testament to the New Testament in our experience, we must deal with our flesh, give up the world and turn to God, defeat Satan, and pass through death into a living that is in resurrection. (Crystallization-Study of 1 and 2 Kings, msg. 2, III.B, C, D, E, F)

Church in Los Angeles Joint Meeting

The whole church in Los Angeles—all halls, districts, and languages—will meet together at 10:00 am on Lord's Day, October 23 at the LA Convention Center.

Please pray for a healthy attendance and blending, and for the timely speaking of the Lord to shepherd all the saints in the church to be brought on for the sake of His testimony in Los Angeles and for the building up of the reality of the Body of Christ, the preparation of the bride of Christ, and the manifestation of the kingdom of Christ.

All-LA Campus Fellowship

This Friday, October 14 there will be a gathering in Westwood with dinner and fellowship for our college students across Los Angeles. There will also be some students from Santa Clarita and Santa Barbara. Please pray for exercised and released singing, a solid speaking from the word, and a good blending across these different campuses and localities.

Southern California Junior High Conferences

The Spring 2022 Junior High Conferences will be held October 14 to 16 with sisters in Diamond Bar and brothers in Irvine. The topic is "The Word of God." Please pray for much washing of the water in the word (Eph. 5:26) and for our young people to have their appreciation of the word uplifted and their appetite for the word expanded. Pray also that they would be encouraged by and blended with other young people across Southern California.

Germany and Switzerland

Gospel trips are taking place in Germany and Switzerland from October 10 to 23. During this first week, all the visiting saints will be in six major cities. The plan is to contact new students at the beginning of their academic semester as well as gain contacts in the community through Bible distribution. Every year, over thousands of students enrolled at the universities, so there is a great need to contact and shepherd the new students. We pray that the Lord will use this trip to gain new contacts and open other seeking students to become remaining fruit!

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Russian and Ukrainian brothers fighting in the war will be preserved in their tripartite being.
  • The saints in Russia and Ukraine will be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man.
  • The tripartite being of the saints in the besieged cities will be protected and preserved for the Lord's interests.

Tajikistan

Pray for the Lord's working within some gospel contacts to remove all obstacles of cultural and religious backgrounds and enable them to know the true God.
