A Work That Changes the Age
“But if anyone builds upon the foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, stubble.” (1 Cor. 3:12)
“For the perfecting of the saints unto the work of the ministry, unto the building up of the Body of Christ.” (Eph. 4:12)
Our work in the recovery today is to minister God to people. Yes, we need to save sinners and to feed the saints and perfect them. The crucial matter, however, is that we minister God to others. The God whom we minister is not just the building God—He is also the builded God. If we fail to minister God in this way, our work will be wood, grass, and stubble. (Life-study of 1 & 2 Samuel, pp. 202-203)
What does the Lord want to do today? He does not simply want to save people, cause them to please God, teach them to call on the name of the Lord, and enable them to live, beget, and walk with God…He needs the churches to be raised up. His intention is to attract His lovers and seekers and gather them together to practice the proper church life as a testimony against the enemy’s kingdom of darkness and as a preparation for His return. This is His intention today. We all need to see this and build this “ark” to be today’s Noah that we may terminate this generation and usher in the new age of the kingdom. (Life-study of Genesis, pp. 390-395)
2026 FIFA World Cup Gospel Outreach
“Whom having not seen, you love; into whom though not seeing Him at present, yet believing, you exult with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory.” (1 Pet. 1:8)
“But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, being always ready for a defense to everyone who asks of you an account concerning the hope which is in you.” (1 Pet. 3:15)
Until July 19, saints from Los Angeles and nearby localities are going out into the communities to distribute Bibles and tracts at various World Cup-related gatherings. Last weekend, at both Venice Beach and Northridge Park, saints of all ages—from elementary to elderly—went out in one accord and full of joy, even proclaiming the name of Jesus to passersby. Praise the Lord for all the seeds that were sown!
Please pray:
- For the final distribution dates this weekend, July 18 and 19, in Downtown Burbank, and that more saints come forward to gain deeper experiences of Christ in the gospel.
- For the Lord’s word to run and be glorified (2 Thes. 3:1) and to grow mightily and prevail (Acts 19:20).
- For the participating saints to be all filled with the Holy Spirit to speak the word of God with boldness (Acts 4:31) to all kinds of people.
- For more grace-filled conversations (Col. 4:6) and remaining fruit (John 15:16). May the Lord anoint the follow-up and gain many of these ones for His purpose! May the Lord of the Harvest operate in the hearts of all the recipients and have a way to gain remaining fruit from the contacts we received.
Southwest College Training Follow-up
Thank you for your prayers for the Southwest College Training! From July 8 to 12, we had 47 students from LA attend this training at Oak Glen, as well as many serving saints. Ten of these students are incoming freshmen! The Lord truly blessed the time and released a strong burden that every student would be an active witness of Him to all those on their campuses. At the end there was a strong call for everyone to bring at least one person to the Lord during this upcoming year.
Please pray:
- That, right away during the summer, our students practice and continue in the things they have learned and been assured of.
- That they abide in the Lord, pray for their friends, and go forth and bear remaining fruit.
- That they stay connected to other branches in the vine, remaining in the fellowship and loving one another in Christ.
GTCA – California Central Coast
GTCA (Gospelize, Truthize, Churchize America) has announced the burden for the Lord’s move in the Central Coast area of California between Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. Saints have been meeting as the churches in both localities for more than 25 years. These cities are home to the UCSB and Cal Poly SLO campuses; each also has a community college. This geographical area spanning roughly 100 miles includes multiple small- to medium-sized cities. In recent months, there have been two conferences for the saints in this area and those burdened for the Lord’s move there.
Please petition the Lord:
- That He would continue preparing the saints in SB and SLO for His move in the Central Coast by their being blended and built up together, and learning together how to move practically as “one church.”
- That He would call, stir, burden, loose, and move inwardly in many saints—singles, couples, and families—whom He has chosen to strengthen this area. The burden is for at least 40 saints to migrate.
Dublin Meeting Hall
As the capital of Ireland and one of nine target cities in the Lord’s Move to Europe, Dublin has strategic importance as the only predominantly English speaking city in the EU. It is also a significant city in the history of the Lord’s recovery because of the influence of the early Brethren who started there. With around 70 saints currently meeting for the Lord’s table in Dublin, which was established in 2005, the need for a suitable meeting place has become increasingly clear.
After much searching, the church has reached an agreement for the purchase of a meeting hall. The building is in a prime city centre area within 15 minutes’ walking distance to Trinity College. The interior space was recently refurbished and does not require renovation. The purchase price is €1.15 million. However, the financial need is now urgent, since a closing of escrow has been set at the end of July.
An update letter on the property, including a link to a video tour, is at lme.org/reports.html. Please pray concerning this burden. As the Lord leads and supplies, saints who are burdened to give financially may do so through The Church in Los Angeles designated for “Dublin Meeting Place.”
