The Increase of Christ for God’s Building

The greatest prophecy in the Bible is in Matthew 16:18: “I will build My church.” The builded church contains and expresses God. For this, God must have human vessels to fill.

For the building up of the church as the house of God and the Body of Christ, we need to “disciple all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matt. 28:19-20) . (Memorial Day conf., msg 6, II, III)

Lord, energize and send us to disciple, baptize, and teach, so that You can gain and fill more vessels, and build Your church.

CSUN

On Lord’s Day, August 21, the Chinese-speaking saints in Hall 2 will have a gospel time and lunch with new students coming to CSUN. They will be supported by saints from Hall 3. Some new students were contacted last week; others are being contacted this week. Ask the Lord to remove any hindrances to attendance at the gospel time, to prepare their hearts to receive Him in a strong way, and to arrange continued shepherding through the coming weeks and months.

The English-speaking students gather afternoons Tuesday through Friday this week for perfecting and enjoying, then go out to contact new freshmen after orientations. Ask the Lord to give our students much enjoyment, to arrange meeting hungry students, to maintain contact with them, and to bring these students into participating in club activities and into our homes.

FTTA, FTTL

The Anaheim and London trainings begin this week. Pray for the Lord to supply the new trainees in their adjustments to training life. Please pray also that the Lord will carry out His perfecting work in all the trainees by giving them a controlling vision of God’s economy, by growing in them day by day, by blending them together, and by raising them up to be living and functioning members of His Body.

Middle-Age Training

The middle age training begins September 5. Ask the Lord to release more saints to give themselves to this term of training for the sake of His move all over the earth.

Anchorage, Alaska

The Anchorage Market and Festival is an outdoor, weekend event held throughout each summer. Anchorage receives over one million tourists per year, and the market has become a popular attraction.

The church in Anchorage has a booth at the market each Saturday throughout the summer to give away ministry books, gospel tracts, and the Recovery Version NT in various languages. They have met many visitors who might not otherwise have had the opportunity to hear God’s Word and many Christians who encourage them in their labor. So far, they have passed out an average of over 300 items per week.

Please pray that the Lord prepare people’s hearts as they visit the market and bring them to the booth to meet the saints and receive the Word. Pray also that the saints would be supplied to be channels of life to these vessels from all over the world.

European University Training

The training is this week, August 15 to 21, in London. The goal is to perfect God-loving and Christ- pursuing students in the areas of biblical truth, experience of life, gospel preaching, and character development, all with a view to moulding them into useful vessels in the Lord’s hands for the building up of His Body.

Germany

The results of gospel trips in the first half of the year have been dramatic and encouraging. We now have over 1,000 contacts, both refugees and local Germans, with almost 300 having prayed to receive the Lord. If just the newly saved are added to the churches, that will be a 100% increase in Germany. It is clear that the fields in Germany “are already white for harvest.” (John 4:35.) Yet the workers are few.

“Beseech the Lord of the harvest that He would thrust out workers into His harvest.” (Luke 10:2)

Baltic Blending Conference

This annual conference is August 19 to 21 in Latvia.
