The Goal in God’s Purpose

“I am now sending an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared” (Exo. 23:20).

The Angel of Jehovah typifies Christ as the One sent by God to keep His people in the way and to bring them into the good land, and the good land typifies Christ in His all-inclusiveness as the allotted portion of God’s people. Thus, Christ as the sent One brings God’s people into Himself as the good land. The goal in God’s purpose is to bring His people into the full enjoyment of Christ as the all-inclusive land. CSUN

Classes began at Cal State Northridge this week. Pray that the Lord would companionize the students, build them into the homes, and spread the gospel to their friends this semester.

Inglewood

Prior to 1991 English-speaking saints met as the church in Santa Monica. In 1991, as those saints moved to Westwood to meet as L.A. Hall 5 and labor on UCLA, a group of Spanish-speaking saints took up the continuation of the church in Santa Monica. Over the years, the saints were faithful to offer for the purchase of a meeting hall. As the demographics and real estate prices changed, many saints moved out of the area, such that the majority now live in the city of Inglewood. After many years of prayer and fellowship, the Lord has provided a half-acre property with an existing building near the 405 freeway in Inglewood.

This Lord’s Day, January 31 at 9:30 am, the church in Inglewood will take the ground. Saints from nearby localities are warmly invited. The address is 521 W Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90301.

Oak Glen

The escrow closed December 18, 2015. Now the churches in Southern California are owners of the
Southern California Blending Center. The downpayment was 20 percent of the purchase price. The seller is loaning us 80 percent, to be paid through 2016 and 2017. Thank the Lord for this purchase and ask Him to keep us in His grace for our giving for the payment of this loan.

Germany – Now

Approximately 250 saints are participating in the FTTA gospel trip from January 21 through February 4. A few have gone to Greece for the mass distribution to refugees moving north. Among the others, one quarter of them are in each of Düsseldorf, Berlin, Stuttgart, and Frankfurt. This is a critical step in the labor in Germany to reach the refugees, as well as to distribute New Testaments to native Germans. We are looking to the Lord to have the wisdom and prudence to bring the high gospel, the gospel of the kingdom, to the refugees. Because most of the saints who are participating on these trips speak only English, there is a desperate need for translators in German, Farsi, and especially Arabic.

Please pray that the Lord will:

  • gain key persons for His move in Europe and the Middle East;
  • be able to obtain translators for the follow-up trips;
  • bless our “five loaves and two fish” for the FTTA gospel trip to Germany;
  • protect His move from the attack of the evil one, Satan.

Germany – Coming Months

The FTTA gospel trip will pave the way for seven more gospel trips of further labor through June. Information concerning the follow-up trips and an application to participate can be obtained by visiting http://germany2016.amanatrust.org.uk.

One of the major goals of the trips to Germany is to gain regular contacts among the refugees to both learn German and pursue the truth. Material has been assembled for a 12-week program entitled A Healthy Walk with God derived from the morning revival book Topics for New Believers. Material is also being assembled for 18 lessons on basic German conversation.

Please ask the Lord to release many saints to go on the two-week trips and to gain many refugees through these actions.

Singapore

There is a strong burden for the church in Singapore to have a new start. The church set up a five-year goal to increase their Lord’s Day attendance from 700 to 2,020 by the end of 2020. Since November they have been practicing frequent prayer with companions for people and have seen many positive results already. Please pray for an important conference to be held there on January 31 to sound the trumpet.

Turkey and Papua New Guinea

The saints in Turkey have witnessed the move of the Holy Spirit in the troubled hearts of men. By means of the internet, many seekers have had the opportunity to read the ministry. The saints hope to establish a golden lampstand in Izmir in February or March.

The Lord is also moving in Papua New Guinea. Several saints have been recovered back to the church life since October. Now the leading brothers in Port Moresby, the capital city, ask all the saints to pray on their behalf that more would be recovered and a church would be established in Port Moresby.
