Prayer and the Lord’s Move

The principle of prayer is that God’s people must pray before God will rise up to work (2012 Thanksgiving Conference, message 1, II.A). “Truly I say to you, Whatever you bind on the earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on the earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Again, truly I say to you that if two of you are in harmony on earth concerning any matter for which they ask, it will be done for them from My Father who is in the heavens.” (Matt. 18:18-19)

After we finish week 12 of Genesis, we will repeat Prayer and the Lord’s Move, which we used in February and March. Please find your book or be ready to order a new one.

Children’s Work Perfecting Conference

This conference will be Saturday, November 9th from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm at the church in Diamond Bar meeting hall. We will be focusing our fellowship on the need to compile children’s lessons that build up a proper humanity and lead the children into a proper enjoyment. Donation is $20, including lunch. To register please click here.

“The harvest is great, but the workers few; therefore, beseech the Lord of the harvest that He would thrust out workers into His harvest.” (Luke 10:2) The labor in this harvest is not only Lord’s Day morning but also in our homes and among children in our neighborhoods.

An Open Letter

From its inception in May there have been about 34,000 unique visitors to http://an-open-letter.org and 4,200 “Likes” on Facebook. A Chinese language version of this site was recently launched. It can be accessed at http://www.localchurchopenletter.org or by clicking on the Chinese-language symbol in the upper right corner of the English-language pages. Also, we added some new and encouraging testimonies from Christian leaders. We ask that you continue to pray:

  • For the impact and effectiveness of this site in overcoming the negative and inaccurate impression of the Lord’s recovery spread by some on the Internet;
  • That this site would help seekers of Christ to disregard opposition and rumors to pursue Christ in an unhindered way;
  • For additional testimonies from respected Christians.

Boston

Construction of the Boston training center is finished. In order to get the Occupancy Permit and Assembly Permit from the Boston Fire Department and the City of Boston, several inspections are necessary. We rejoice and thank the Lord for bringing us to this point. May our prayers give Him the way to head up the inspections and all things related to the timely completion of this project.

Bibles for America

Last Friday BfA began a three-week distribution tour from Philadelphia through Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, to North and South Carolina. Please pray that:

  • The Lord would brood over this part of the country and prepare many hungry ones to receive the Word and the ministry.
  • The traveling saints would remain safe and be strengthened into their inner man throughout this trip.

One-Week Trainings in Europe

This is the second week of this fall’s four one-week trainings at Bower House in London. The overall theme is The Four Great Pillars in the Lord’s Recovery: Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel. Please pray that the saints will be perfected in the divine truths, in their daily life before the Lord, in practicing the vital groups, in participating in the spread of the divine truths throughout Europe, in becoming fruit-bearing branches in the vine, and in developing their organic functions for the building of the churches.

Seminar in London

Last Saturday there was a seminar in London for radio listeners and New Testament recipients. More than 400 attended, 160 for the first time. (photo below) The subject was God’s Eternal Purpose as seen in Genesis 1-2 and Revelation 21-22. At the end of the seminar, attendees were asked to fill out a form if they were interested in joining home meetings in their home or the homes of others. Many are open to enjoying the Word of God in the homes. Please pray that:

  1. many local saints would rise up to function as shepherd-teachers to care for so many new ones;
  2. many more saints would be burdened and touched by the Lord to be sent to Europe.

Europe

The European brothers’ training, attended by approximately 140 brothers, and the international blending conference, attended by about 575 saints from 27 countries, concluded on October 27. Please pray for the operation of the Lord’s word in all the leading ones and the saints in Europe to advance the Lord’s move in the months ahead.
