International Chinese-speaking Conference

The conference is February 12 to 14 in Anaheim. Information is at http://www.icsc2016.org (Chinese) and http://www.icsc2016.org/en (English). There will be translation to English, Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese. Please ask the Lord to bring many saints of all languages together for a rich feast in His word.

United States

First Timothy 2:1-2, “I exhort therefore, first of all, that, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men; on behalf of kings and all who are in high position, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all godliness and gravity.” In this year of U.S. elections, let us make prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for the Lord’s choice in every election. First Timothy 2:3-4, “This is good and acceptable in the sight of our Savior God, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth.” May the election process and the results bring more people to salvation and bring more people to the full knowledge of the truth.

CSUN Gospel

The CSUN students will have a gospel table at the campus club fair this Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 am to 2 pm. Pray that they would be bold in contacting their classmates with the gospel and that the Lord would send them some sons of peace. Also pray for the strengthening of the core students and the homes to receive the new fruit.

North American Gospel Trips

Some of these trips conclude Friday and others continue until next week Monday. Updates and prayer burdens from the trips are at www.gtca.us and beseeching.org.

International Gospel Trips

The trip to India finished last week. Some other trips finish early this week and the large trip to Germany finishes this Thursday. Updates and prayer burdens from the trips are at beseeching.org.

All Gospel Trips

Please pray for all who were touched on these trips, that their hearts remain open. Ask the Lord to richly supply the local saints in the cities and countries visited so that they may shepherd all who were contacted. Ask the Lord to add remaining fruit to the existing churches and to raise up new churches.

Germany

(1) Please pray for the Lord’s wisdom and bountiful grace to the saints:

  • coordinating the follow-up trips;
  • providing hospitality and transportation for many visitors week after week;
  • serving daily in contacting refugees and revisiting those who respond positively;
  • who migrated in the past month, and those about to migrate, in their search for housing suitable for care for university students or refugees;
  • preparing and leading the classes for refugees and for those who recently migrated to Germany. (Basic German, 18 weeks; A Healthy Walk with God, 12 weeks; Gospel of John, 5 weeks)

(2) Please pray also for the refugees:

  • that the Lord would gain the translators for His eternal economy;
  • that the ones whom we have established relationships with would advance to have more appointments with us, be open to receive the gospel, and sign-up for the long-term programs we are offering (German class, Book of John course, and a Healthy Walk with God course).

(3) Please also pray for the local Germans, that the seekers would find the tables and even those who do not seek Him would be softened to drop their concepts and be open in a new way to the gospel.

In order to keep the saints informed and bring them into the burden of this move of the Lord, the overseeing brothers are putting together reports that can be shared freely among the saints. These reports present many encouraging matters, but (for security) do not contain names of the saints or new contacts. These reports are on a public Facebook page “Germany Update” (http://facebook.com/germanyupdate). This will enable the saints to read and share the reports freely. We hope these reports will be an encouragement to all the saints in the Lord’s recovery.

Turkey

We had a blending meeting for saints from multiple cities in September of last year. We began Rhema literature distribution near the end of 2014, both directly and through a local distributor. Distribution increased as we began use of the internet last year. Besides Rhema literature, we also have six gospel booklets combined into one and published as “The Gospel of God’s Economy” and the New Believer’s Series by W. Nee also published in one volume.

Please pray for:

  • An increase in the number of saints in Istanbul and also in the whole country.
  • Gaining of more readers and seeking ones through Rhema distribution and local contacts.
  • The serving couple to obtain long-term status for staying here.
  • The publication of 22 booklets by W. Nee in February 2016.

The Goal in God’s Purpose

“I am now sending an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared” (Exo. 23:20).

The Angel of Jehovah typifies Christ as the One sent by God to keep His people in the way and to bring them into the good land, and the good land typifies Christ in His all-inclusiveness as the allotted portion of God’s people. Thus, Christ as the sent One brings God’s people into Himself as the good land. The goal in God’s purpose is to bring His people into the full enjoyment of Christ as the all-inclusive land. (footnote 1)

CSUN

Classes began at Cal State Northridge this week. Pray that the Lord would companionize the students, build them into the homes, and spread the gospel to their friends this semester.

Inglewood

Prior to 1991 English-speaking saints met as the church in Santa Monica. In 1991, as those saints moved to Westwood to meet as L.A. Hall 5 and labor on UCLA, a group of Spanish-speaking saints took up the continuation of the church in Santa Monica. Over the years, the saints were faithful to offer for the purchase of a meeting hall. As the demographics and real estate prices changed, many saints moved out of the area, such that the majority now live in the city of Inglewood. After many years of prayer and fellowship, the Lord has provided a half-acre property with an existing building near the 405 freeway in Inglewood.

This Lord’s Day, January 31 at 9:30 am, the church in Inglewood will take the ground. Saints from nearby localities are warmly invited. The address is 521 W Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90301.

Oak Glen

The escrow closed December 18, 2015. Now the churches in Southern California are owners of the
Southern California Blending Center. The downpayment was 20 percent of the purchase price. The seller is loaning us 80 percent, to be paid through 2016 and 2017. Thank the Lord for this purchase and ask Him to keep us in His grace for our giving for the payment of this loan.

Germany - Now

Approximately 250 saints are participating in the FTTA gospel trip from January 21 through February 4. A few have gone to Greece for the mass distribution to refugees moving north. Among the others, one quarter of them are in each of Düsseldorf, Berlin, Stuttgart, and Frankfurt. This is a critical step in the labor in Germany to reach the refugees, as well as to distribute New Testaments to native Germans. We are looking to the Lord to have the wisdom and prudence to bring the high gospel, the gospel of the kingdom, to the refugees. Because most of the saints who are participating on these trips speak only English, there is a desperate need for translators in German, Farsi, and especially Arabic.

Please pray that the Lord will:

  • gain key persons for His move in Europe and the Middle East;
  • be able to obtain translators for the follow-up trips;
  • bless our “five loaves and two fish” for the FTTA gospel trip to Germany;
  • protect His move from the attack of the evil one, Satan.

Germany - Coming Months

The FTTA gospel trip will pave the way for seven more gospel trips of further labor through June. Information concerning the follow-up trips and an application to participate can be obtained by visiting http://germany2016.amanatrust.org.uk.

One of the major goals of the trips to Germany is to gain regular contacts among the refugees to both learn German and pursue the truth. Material has been assembled for a 12-week program entitled A Healthy Walk with God derived from the morning revival book Topics for New Believers. Material is also being assembled for 18 lessons on basic German conversation.

Please ask the Lord to release many saints to go on the two-week trips and to gain many refugees through these actions.

Singapore

There is a strong burden for the church in Singapore to have a new start. The church set up a five-year goal to increase their Lord’s Day attendance from 700 to 2,020 by the end of 2020. Since November they have been practicing frequent prayer with companions for people and have seen many positive results already. Please pray for an important conference to be held there on January 31 to sound the trumpet.

Turkey and Papua New Guinea

The saints in Turkey have witnessed the move of the Holy Spirit in the troubled hearts of men. By means of the internet, many seekers have had the opportunity to read the ministry. The saints hope to establish a golden lampstand in Izmir in February or March.

The Lord is also moving in Papua New Guinea. Several saints have been recovered back to the church life since October. Now the leading brothers in Port Moresby, the capital city, ask all the saints to pray on their behalf that more would be recovered and a church would be established in Port Moresby.

More is in the Lord’s Move to Asia newsletter http://lmasia.org/temp/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/E-2016-01.pdf (English), http://lmasia.org/temp/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Asia-2016-01.pdf (Chinese).

The Normal Christian Life

Many people speak of the normal Christian life, but to be normal is not only to be freed from sin according to the experience of Romans 6. This is only part of being normal. The most normal Christian life is a life that bears fruit. It is absolutely not normal for a branch on a vine to bear no fruit for many years. As branches of the vine tree, we need to bear fruit.

If we mean business to have a proper Christian life, we must bear fruit in a normal way. This can never be done in a miraculous way. We should not expect to pray in an extraordinary way and then miraculously bring many people to the Lord. Branches bear fruit in a very normal way. To bring one person to the Lord every year is normal and easy.

We must all go to the Lord and say, “Lord, grant me to be normal in the matter of fruit-bearing.” (WL, The Normal Way of Fruit-bearing and Shepherding for the Building Up of the Church, pp. 48-49)

CSUN Blending Retreat

Later this week, the CSUN students will blend with the UCI students in Irvine from Thursday to
Lord’s Day before the new semester begins on January 25. Please pray that the students—both our own and the new ones—would be able to attend the blending time and that they would be encouraged to pursue the Lord in this new semester for His coming.

2016 GTCA Cities & North American Gospel Trips

At the end of the Winter Training, 17 cities were announced as places for particular labor in 2016 as part of the burden to gospelize, truthize, and churchize North America (GTCA). Beginning this Friday, January 22, more than 100 FTTA trainees will join saints in 14 of these cities and several other places for one- and two-week gospel trips to preach the gospel, shepherd young believers, and give away free Bibles for America materials. The teams will visit:

Canada
Abbotsford, BC
Laval, QC
Mississauga, ON

Northwest
Salem, OR
Mountain States
Missoula, MT
Salt Lake City, UT
Northern California
Reno, NV
Santa Rosa, CA
Vallejo, CA

Southern California
Menifee, CA
Midwest
Bloomington, IN
Peoria, IL
Mid-Atlantic
Norfolk, VA
Southeast
Columbia, SC
Huntsville, AL
Kennesaw, GA
Valdosta, GA

Please pray that the Spirit would go before the gospel teams to brood over these cities and sweep in the hearts of the Lord’s chosen vessels. Pray also for a blessed coordination and blending among the saints and favorable weather and other outward circumstances for the release of the Word.

To read more about the gospel trips and the GTCA burden, please visit http://www.gtca.us.

International Gospel Trips

The FTTA gospel trip to Ethiopia is January 23 through February 7.

The gospel trips to South Africa, Brazil, and Chile began last week and continue this week and next. Dates and locations for all North American and international gospel trips are in “FTTA Gospel Trips” at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

Greece

Plans are being made to have continuous two-week distributions of gospel and ministry materials to sow the seed of the gospel among refugees before they reach Germany. This sowing will be done in Greece near the border with Macedonia in January and February. The current period is January 9 to 19. Please pray that the word of God will spread among the seeking ones and will bring them into the enjoyment of the processed and consummated Triune God as the compound Spirit in the church life.

Germany Gospel Trip

The gospel trip to Germany is January 21 to February 4. 159 trainees and 38 serving saints will go from North America to join local saints plus those visiting from other European nations. The North American saints go first to London for orientation, then proceed in four groups to Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Berlin, and Stuttgart. Their time will include being nourished with the word and ministry, visiting refugee housing areas, distributing New Testaments, and blending with local saints.

Germany Report

A Farsi-speaking U.S. brother currently visiting Frankfurt reports that the saints are able to meet refugees right outside the doors of the temporary “camps” that the German government has set up. The goal is to befriend contacts and invite them to a cup of tea or coffee in a nearby coffee shop to speak with them more privately. Please pray for:

  • the visiting saints who can speak Arabic or Farsi (Persian); their function is absolutely crucial.
  • the local saints, many of whom have migrated to be there and serve full-time, to receive much grace in their continuing involvement with this present move.
  • the saints to find qualified and trustworthy translators, especially in Arabic, as soon as possible.

Singapore

The work of the Spirit in Singapore is increasingly intensified. The church set up a five-year goal to increase their Lord’s Day attendance from 700 to 2,020 by the end of 2020. Since November they have been practicing frequent prayer with companions for people and have seen many positive results already.

Ben and Tina Chang from Los Angeles Hall 4 are migrating to Singapore this week to participate in the church life there.

The Center of the Divine Administration

Revelation 8:3, "Another Angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer, and much incense was given to Him to offer with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne."

Christ's interceding life is the center of the divine administration and the execution of His government on earth. After resurrection and ascension, the individual Christ has become the corporate Christ; today the corporate Christ, the Head with the Body, is interceding. To participate in this interceding life, we should be in God; we should be satisfied by eating holy food; our natural life should be reduced to ashes by fire from the bronze altar; and we should pray with Christ as the incense. (winter training, message 5)

Southern California Spanish-Speaking Conference

The annual conference for Spanish-speaking saints in Southern California will be held in Anaheim from Friday evening, January 15 to Lord's Day noon, January 17. At the same time, we will have meetings for the children. Details in English y español are at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

These days are for the seeking of the Lord’s blessing through fellowship on His up-to-date speaking and present burden. The messages will be given in English with simultaneous translation into Spanish and the meetings are open to all the saints.

Southern California Young People’s Blending Conference

This conference will be January 15 to 17 in Anaheim, simultaneously with the Spanish-speaking Conference. May the Lord superabundantly pour out His rich blessing on this special conference.

Germany

Please continue to pray that:

  • the Lord would raise up the workers to be sent into this harvest;
  • the churches and saints in Germany be encouraged and revived;
  • many Muslims and Europeans would receive the gospel and be brought into the church life;
  • all in the recovery would lay hold of this situation for the building up of God's house;
  • the Lord would protect His present move from the attack of the evil one, Satan.

South Africa

The FTTA gospel trip to South Africa is January 15 through February 1.

Argentina, Brazil, and Chile

The FTTA gospel trips to Argentina, Brazil, and Chile begin later this week and end about February 1.

Romania

Please pray for the ongoing seminars in Bucharest, Resita, and Deva-Hunedoara to contact the readers of the ministry, and pray for the organic increase of the churches through these seminars.

A Desperate Need for Growth

Hebrews 6:1 says, “let us be brought on to maturity.” At the incense altar we pray for growth unto maturity that many may be qualified for the formation of an army for God’s move on earth.

Southern California Spanish-Speaking Conference

The annual conference for Spanish-speaking saints in Southern California will be held in Anaheim from January 15 to 17. At the same time, we will have a Young People’s Conference and children’s meetings. Details in English y español are at http:www.churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

LA and Santa Barbara Campuses

This week is the beginning of a new school term at many of our local colleges and universities. As the new year begins at UCLA, pray for all the saints to be refreshed and open to the Lord concerning those around them (friends, family, classmates) to each bear at least one remaining fruit, wherever they are.

At USC, LA City College, and other downtown campuses, there will be a pre-semester fellowship on Lord’s Day, January 10. Please pray for the core students to be built together in an actual and practical way, beginning with this time.

CSUN does not resume classes until late January, but will join UC Santa Barbara for a few days this week at the gospel table, meet new students, and blend with the saints. Pray for the Lord to gain a solid base in Santa Barbara for the increase of His testimony there.

For all these campuses, please pray for the Lord to:

  • Increase the prayer that is according to His heart for these campuses among the saints and students.
  • Cause definite and actual growth, more than ever before, in each student.
  • Keep our students freshly “painted” with the anointing day by day so that they spontaneously “paint” their family, friends, classmates, and contacts throughout the school term.

Bibles for America

Bibles for America gave away roughly 110,000 Bibles in 2015, more than in any single year since we began in 2000. We praise the Lord for bringing so many spiritually hungry and thirsty people into contact with our free offers and giving them the opportunity to order.

Please join us in praying that the Bible and book recipients of 2015 would be drawn to read, savor, and enjoy the Word and the ministry they’ve received. Please pray also that the Lord would continue to increase the number of orders in 2016 and that He would lead BfA into new and ever more effective ways to reach people with the healthy spiritual food.

We invite you to visit the Bibles for America 2015 Year in Review to see encouraging recipient comments, statistics, and highlights from this year: http://biblesforamerica.org/2015/

Germany

About 200, mostly trainees and some serving saints, will participate in the FTTA gospel trip to Germany, January 21 through February 4. They will be joined by saints in Germany and from other European nations. It is anticipated that most of these will contact the refugees from the Middle East. The trainees and local saints may also distribute the NT Recovery Version in German to the German-speaking people. Much may happen in this time with the refugees and the local people.

Some in Anaheim are participating in short-term intensive Arabic and German language classes before the trip. Also, before the gospel trip some saints who are currently serving in the UK will move permanently to Germany. Please pray for:

  • The move of the full-time serving ones from the UK to Germany.
  • The contact with new seeking ones among the refugees and the shepherding of the seeking ones who were contacted in the past.
  • The free mass distribution of literature and the response among both refugees and Germans.
  • The release of saints who are proficient in the Arabic, Farsi, and German languages.
  • The salvation and gaining of the Lord’s chosen and called ones, especially the useful ones and the young ones.
  • The Lord’s protection of His present move from the attack of the evil one, Satan.

Follow-Up Gospel Trips to Germany

After the FTTA gospel trips, follow-up gospel trips to Germany have been proposed from February 14 until July 1. The two main purposes of these trips are to shepherd the new contacts and to distribute Bibles. Further information can be obtained by reading the two pages on Follow-up Trips to Germany at www.churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/ and by e-mailing germany2016@amanatrust.org.uk. Please pray for the Lord’s clear leading in finalizing the plans for these trips.

India

The FTTA gospel trip to India is January 8 to 25.

Video Trainings

Please remember the video trainings that take place in many localities after last week’s live training and simulcasts. In Los Angeles, there are video trainings now at Hall 2 in English, Korean, and Spanish. Pray for the saints’ hearing, receiving, and absorbing of the Lord’s speaking.

Southern California Spanish-Speaking Conference

The annual conference for Spanish-speaking saints in Southern California will be held in Anaheim from Friday, January 15 to 17. At the same time, we will have a Young People’s Conference and meetings for the children. Details in English y español are at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

Germany

Approximately twenty saints will migrate to Germany before January 18, with about five each to Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, and Stuttgart, each of which already has saints meeting. These teams of saints will become a base for contacting and shepherding the refugees and Bible recipients, and will receive the saints on the gospel trips after the FTTA trip.

Mass Migration out of the Middle East into Europe

Almost 200 trainees and serving ones will visit Europe for two weeks in late January and early February. It is anticipated that most will be sent to four key cities in Germany to contact the refugees from the Middle East who have been settled in and near those cities.

To prepare for this trip, FTTA is offering a three-week short course in Arabic and German. The course begins this Monday, December 28, and has 4 hours of instruction and practice per day for each language.

Concerning the free mass distribution at the Greece/Macedonia border, please pray:

  • for continued favor and good relations with the owners of the gas station near the border, that we could continue to distribute to the buses there; also with police and other authorities.
  • that the bus drivers would continue to be open to what we are doing—especially for J., a Russian- speaking driver seeking more contact, that he would be an inside information source regarding bus movements, etc.; also for a schedule that would maximize the probability of finding buses for distribution.
  • for the gospel contacts’ progress, and for many more in the future. May our Lord cover us from those that would hinder us from carrying out His work and hide us from the enemy.
  • that the mass distribution door will remain open.
  • for the 3rd distribution phase (Dec. 29 to Jan. 7); that the next team will enter into the labor that has gone before and that the Lord will cover and preserve each one who labors here on His behalf.

Iberian Conference Report

From December 4 to 6, 303 saints from 14 countries gathered in Madrid, Spain to enjoy the messages from the Thanksgiving Conference on “The Church as the Temple of God—The Goal of God’s Eternal Economy.” The atmosphere was filled with the exercise of the spirit and a yearning from within the saints to advance in the divine life and go on from the tabernacle church life to the temple church life. After the last message, the saints’ response was “for the Lord to give us a heart for this” and to be those who see the vision and live as divine and mystical persons in the divine and mystical realm.

Although not many refugees are going to Spain, the brothers encouraged all the saints to pray that many of these ones would be saved to become members of the Body of Christ. May the Lord gain our prayers for His advance and for His up-to-date move.
The full report is available at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

Thessaloniki, Greece

While the saints in Thessaloniki have been heavily involved with the distribution of ministry materials to the refugees passing through Greece, they remain just as burdened for the establishing of a lampstand in their city. Their hope is that even as they labor for this current move, the Lord would simultaneously bless His move in Thessaloniki. They are also in the process of acquiring a meeting place that is 5 minutes’ walk from the university. If purchased, this venue would be immediately useful for the distribution teams. The saints treasure the prayers of the Body. Please pray for:

  • the Lord’s leading concerning this property, that all the doors that need to be opened would be opened.
  • all new and existing contacts, that they would be strengthened, encouraged, and even enlarged in their vision as they participate alongside the saints for the distribution.
  • the Lord’s move in Thessaloniki and the establishing of a lampstand there.

Winter Training

Please remember the live training this week, December 21–26, in Anaheim, as well as the webcast
and video training in many localities. Pray for the saints’ hearing, receiving, and digesting of the Lord’s up-to-date speaking, not only during the meetings but even in dinner-time fellowships. May the Lord infuse His recovery with His burden from the book of Exodus!

Oak Glen (from the brothers who coordinated the purchase)

The escrow for our purchase of Oak Glen closed December 18. We thank the Lord for His rich
grace shown in the generous offerings of the saints and the churches.

Now we encourage the saints to use Oak Glen for conferences and retreats. The pattern of going to the mountains for a time of separation, revelation, and consecration was set by the Lord Jesus with His disciples. It is our hope that Oak Glen will be used by all ages and that it will increase the blending of the churches in Southern California.

We need to look to the Lord for additional giving to pay the remaining balance of $6,410,000 in the next two years. We are preparing plans for renovation of the gymnasium (to accommodate 500+ for meetings), the addition of bathrooms to the main lodges, and replacement of some of the mobile homes. Continue to pray for the Lord’s wisdom in development of this conference center.

Southern California Chinese-Speaking Gospel Report

Thank you very much for your prayers. We had a very glorious semi-annual Southern California Chinese-speaking gospel at Arcadia on Saturday, December 12. Fifty-two received the Lord (30 new
brothers and 22 new sisters) and were baptized into the Triune God.

The meeting went very well with the Lord’s strong presence. The saints formed prayer group
teams throughout the gospel time from 4 to 6 pm and from 7 to 8:30 pm. The prayers afforded the Lord a way to come in to bless the whole time. The attendance was over 700. Praise the Lord!

Europe and the Refugees

The fields are white, but it is a tremendous price for these refugees to come out of their culture and religion. Please pray that the refugees could not only hear the gospel and be saved, but also that many could have a solid entrance into the building work in the local churches. We are also praying that the Lord would also gain something among the native Germans at this time, to spread His testimony across the leading country of the European Union.

Saturday, December 12 we had fellowship with 70 to 80 saints from the German-speaking countries plus about 40 from the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and the UK. We felt there was a good response from the German-speaking saints and a oneness and one accord with this burden. We are encouraged by this since they will bear most of the burden in caring for and shepherding these migrants into the church life.

Please continue to remember this move of the Lord in your prayers. We are still before the Lord regarding how we will meet this great need. We appreciate you standing with us.

Arabic Gospel Radio on the Internet

As part of our response to the refugees going to Europe, the recovery began a 24/7 live-streaming Arabic-language gospel radio, http://zblogs.org/radio/hurriatyradio.html. Please pray for this. It is available anywhere in the world, including Arab countries. May much faith be produced in those who hear!

A Sweet-Smelling Savor

Phil. 4:18, “...the things from you, a sweet-smelling savor, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.” First God wants us, then He wants what is ours. We ourselves have to come to Him first before we can bring what we have to Him (Week 3, Day 1). The sweet-smelling savor is first Christ Himself (Eph. 5:2), then Christ experienced by us (Rom. 12:1-2), then what we give as a result of experiencing Christ.

Winter Training

Ask the Lord to prepare the speaking brothers during their labor on the messages. Also ask the Lord to prepare all who have registered to attend and to be good listeners and absorbers of the word.

FTTA Graduation

The FTTA graduation is Saturday, December 19 at 9:30am. Ask the Lord to keep every graduate pursuing Him as they leave the training atmosphere, and to follow Him into a proper church life for their further serving and growth in life.

Europe and the Refugees

The refugee situation in Europe is a big door opened by the Lord. Only once a generation does the recovery see such a mass of hungry, seeking people. Please continue to pray for the:

  • response of all the saints to the fellowship released during the Thanksgiving conference.
  • Lord’s clear leading concerning the way to carry out the Lord’s present move in a coordinated way.
  • free mass distribution of literature and the response of the seeking ones.
  • participation of saints who are proficient in the Arabic and Farsi languages.
  • salvation and gaining of the Lord’s chosen and called ones, especially the useful and young ones.
  • Lord’s protection of His present move from the attack of the evil one, Satan.

An overview, titled Europe and the Refugees, is at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/. The streaming Arabic language internet broadcast, with reading of The Economy of God and hymns is at http://amanatrust.org.uk/radio/myfreedom/v2/.

Floods in Chennai, India

Earlier this month, the heaviest rainfalls in more than 100 years affected large parts of the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, a city of 4.6 million. In most of places there is no power, 60 percent of mobile towers are not working. Some saints’ homes are flooded and they are staying with saints. Please pray for:

  • The saints in Chennai to be preserved from flood and sickness, for the sake of His testimony.
  • The practical church life need to be recovered.
  • The spreading of the gospel of the Kingdom among people of Chennai and Tamil Nadu
  • The Lord to head up the clean-up effort so that His interest will be accomplished.

... Until Christ is Formed in Us

Galatians 4:19, "My children, with whom I travail again in birth until Christ is formed in you."
The burden of the Thanksgiving conference is that we advance, that we move forward. We must move beyond knowing and appreciating to experiencing. We must make definite progress from the wilderness (the soul) to the good land (the mingled spirit), because only here does Christ get formed in us as the materials for the temple, the solid and stable church life. (based on opening word of conference message 5)

Lord, Be Our Treasure, Gain Our Heart and Our Love

Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
Matthew 6:24, "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."

College and High School Final Exams

Our college and high school saints are entering finals this week and next. Please pray that they would come to the Lord to find rest (Matt. 11:28-30) and be His shining testimony to their classmates as they study together that the gospel may flow (Matt. 5:14-16).

Refugees in Europe

The refugee situation in Europe is a big door opened by the Lord. Only once a generation does the recovery see such a mass of hungry, seeking people. An overview, titled Europe and the Refugees, is at https://churchinlosangeles.org/prayer/.

A report from saints in Germany, where the majority of refugees are going: Since late September we have had four rounds of visits to Germany from teams of saints coming to contact the recent migrants from the Middle East. We visited many migrant camps all over Germany and get to know some of the migrants. These people, especially the ones coming from war-torn countries, are open to our visitation.

They have endured much suffering in their home country as well as in their journey to Europe and settlement in Germany, but by the Lord's mercy He has brought them to Germany to hear the gospel. Many ask us to return and visit them again. At this point we have groups of open contacts awaiting our revisit virtually all over the country. The more camps we visit the more open doors we are able to find.

We realize it is a Body matter regarding what the Lord would do among this group of people both in our prayer as well as in our going, contacting, and shepherding them. Some topics for prayer:
- the Lord's leading the brothers in their fellowship of how to meet this need;
- the door to all the migrants to remain open and for many to come to definite salvation;
- that this migration open the German people to the gospel;
- the burden to pray, to give, and to go to Europe be borne by churches and saints around the earth.

We Pursue

Philippians 3:12-14, “Not that I have already obtained or am already perfected, but I pursue, if even I may lay hold of that for which I also have been hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers, I do not account of myself to have laid hold; but one thing I do: Forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, I pursue toward the goal for the prize to which God in Christ Jesus has called me upward.”

The temple as the enlargement of the tabernacle signifies the strengthening and stabilizing of the church, and the renewing and enlargement of the furniture in the temple signify the renewing and enlargement of the saints’ experience of Christ. (Thanksgiving Conference, msg 1, III.B)

Although Christ Himself cannot be enlarged, our experience of Christ in all His riches, as signified by the temple and its furnishings, should be greatly increased and enlarged to match His enlarged expression. (Thanksgiving Conference, msg 3, I)

Lord, we give ourselves freshly to pursue You for this strengthening, stabilizing, renewing, enlarging, and increasing for Your “temple expression.”

Europe

The Lord is answering the prayers for middle east and Israel, but not as we thought He would. The first 4 seals in Revelation are the four horses—gospel, war, famine, death. The three negative horses displace people so that the white horse can run. People are being opened to the gospel according to a Biblical principle—Abraham was called out of his father’s house and out of his father’s land.

The outcome in Europe depends very much on the prayer of the saints and churches. There is no doubt that the Lord as the ruler of kings of earth is in charge of world situation today. But at the same time we must be at the incense altar to cooperate with Him. We need to pray that the white horse runs in this current situation and that the Lord’s testimony in Germany be revived.

Please pray for:
- the Lord’s guidance to the brothers fellowshipping about our response to the situation in Europe;
- the cherishing and nourishing of 100 people in Germany who in recent weeks asked for further visits;
- more saints to be burdened for participation in continuing trips to Greece and Germany;
- fellowship at FTTA about how to conduct the late January to early February gospel trip to Europe.

Iberian Peninsula Conference

This annual conference will be in Madrid, Spain from December 4 to 6 and is open to all saints. Messages will be in English with translation into Spanish and Portuguese. Please pray that the Lord would richly bless this time.

Saints from 22 countries participated in a glorious gathering. A report and photos from this conference are at: http://lmasia.org/temp/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/E-2015-11.pdf (English) and http://lmasia.org/temp/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Asia-2015-11.pdf (Chinese).
