Being Revived Every Morning

“Therefore we do not lose heart; but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.” (2 Cor. 4:16)

“And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it must not go out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning…” (Lev. 6:12)

“It is Jehovah’s lovingkindness that we are not consumed, for His compassions do not fail; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” (Lam. 3:22-23)

In order to make ourselves ready for the Lord’s coming, we need to maintain our victory by having a revived living, a living of being renewed day by day. This renewal has to be refreshed every morning. We must enjoy the Lord early in the morning to have a new start of each day. We should rise up early in the morning to fellowship with the Lord, and we can pray, “Thank You, Lord, for a new beginning. May this day be a memorable day in my life.” This is what we call a morning-by-morning revival.

Every morning we should offer up Christ as our burnt offering and peace offering, based upon His being our sin offering, so that we may have a new beginning. Not only must we do this every day, but we must also do it with sweetness and depth. To take Christ as our burnt offering every morning is to take Him as the One who lived a life absolutely for God’s satisfaction and as the life that enables us to have such a living.

While we are in the midst of suffering, we need to receive the Lord’s new compassions every morning so that we may experience His renewing. Otherwise, we will remain the same, and the suffering we pass through will be in vain. (Making Ourselves Ready for the Lord’s Coming, msg. 5, I, A, B.1-3, H)

LA Truth School

The LA Truth School began last Friday, August 4 and concludes this Saturday, August 12. The general subject is “The Bible” and the burden is to impress on our young people that the Bible is God’s word for them to know and enjoy in their teenage years. Please continue to pray for:

  • The preparation of the hearts of every young person to be soft towards the Lord during Truth School.
  • All of the young people to be full of joy and released during the singing times.
  • The full participation as our YP gather in small groups for their truth pursuit this week. This week’s topics are as follows: “The Bible as Our Light and Life” (Monday), “The Bible as Our Food and Drink” (Tuesday), “The Bible as Our Enjoyment” (Wednesday), “The Bible as Our Eternal Stand” (Thursday), and “The Bible as Our Sword” (Friday).

North America College Training

Please continue to pray for the response of the college students to the Lord’s speaking in this year’s NACT (July 16 to 22). Pray for the lasting impact on our college students’ love for Christ and the church, their pursuit and defense of and constitution with the truth, and their splendorous consecration to the Lord to offer themselves to Him willingly in this day of His warfare for His soon return (Psa. 110:3).

FTTA-MA

The next term of the Middle-age Full-time Training in Anaheim goes from September 11 to December 23. The classes are given in English, Chinese, Korean and Spanish. It is hoped that many saints in the Lord’s recovery will seize this opportunity to be perfected. All FTTA-MA applications must be received by August 22.

FTTA and FTTL

The fall term of the Full-time Training in Anaheim, as well as that in London, begins next week, August 14. Please pray for the safe arrival of all the trainees and they would all be fresh and new before the Lord as they start this term. Pray also for all the serving ones, that they themselves would enjoy the Lord’s serving of them as their abounding grace.

Fiji

Bibles for America has a number of affiliates throughout the world, including Bibles for Korea, Bibles for Indonesia, Bibles for Europe, Bibles for Canada, Bibles for Australia, and Bibles for New Zealand. The most recent affiliate that has been established is Bibles for Fiji.

Fiji is a country with a population of nearly 1 million people in the South Pacific that comprises over 300 islands. There is a particular burden among the brothers in Fiji for the field of labor at the University of the South Pacific, located in the capital and largest city, Suva. Students from 12 other South Pacific island countries come to Suva for their higher education and many are open to the ministry publications.

BfA recently shipped a 20-foot container to Suva filled with copies of the NT Recovery Version in English and ministry books to arrive in early August. Please pray that the Lord would take care of all the practical items related to Bibles for Fiji that His Word could run unhindered in this part of the world. Pray also that the Lord would prepare the hearts of many students at the University of the South Pacific to receive His Word and come to the full knowledge of the truth.
