The Word of Christ Dwelling Richly in Us

“Then He opened their mind to understand the Scriptures.” (Luke 24:45)

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.” (Col. 3:16)

To reconstitute the people of God is to educate them by putting them into the word of God so that they may be saturated with the word. As the word of God works within us, the Spirit of God, who is God Himself, through the word spontaneously dispenses God’s nature with God’s element into our being; in this way we are reconstituted. (December Semiannual Training, msg. 5, II.F.1-2)

The greatest need that must be met is to bring the saints in the Lord’s recovery into the truth to carry the recovery on. The intrinsic element of the divine revelation must be wrought into and constituted into our being. After the truth gets into our memory, it becomes a constant and long-term nourishment; then we have an accumulation of the truth, and we are under the constant nourishment. (Msg. 11, III.C.1, D.1,3)

It is crucial to let the word of Christ enter into us, dwell in us, and replace our concepts, opinions, and philosophies. If the word of Christ is to make its home in us, we must give it the full liberty, freedom, and right. (LS of Colossians, pp. 247, 576)

May we continually seek the Lord’s opening of our mind so that His word may dwell in us richly, causing the recovery to move onward. May all the truths which we have outwardly in the books be constituted into us inwardly for our nourishment, for our ministering to one another, and for more singing with grace in our hearts to God.

UCLA

UCLA resumed instruction this week. Please pray for a good beginning to this quarter with everyone reconnecting and entering into the fellowship right away!

This week, January 9 to 15, six trainees from the FTTA will take part in a trainee internship with the full-time LA campus team. The primary burden of this week is to give all participants a taste of serving the Lord full-time, not only in the outward matters but also the inward reality. Please pray for the Lord to bless this whole week, and pray that they would be open to the Lord’s special training and speaking.

Hall 5 Mini Retreat

This weekend, January 13 to 15, the saints in Hall 5 are having a local mini retreat with a series of gatherings at the meeting hall and nearby venues on the Westside. Please pray for an encouraging time of blending outside the typical church meeting schedule and a good release and reception of the church-wide burden of Bible and Life-study reading. Also pray for the college students to attend and for the further merging of many newer ones into the church life with all the community saints.

BfA Distribution – Northridge

Saturday to Monday, January 14 to 16, saints from Hall 2, along with others, will have a Bibles for America table inside the Northridge Fashion Center shopping mall. More than 35 saints will participate. We will be there 8 hours each day to distribute tracts, NTs, and books. Please pray for this time, that all who serve will enjoy and express the Lord, and that the Lord will bring many sons of peace to us to receive His gospel and His truth.

FTTA Gospel Trips

From January 26 to February 9, 16 FTTA gospel trip teams will go out to 21 countries in Europe to join with the local saints for the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom. Please pray that:

  • The Lord will blend and build the saints involved so that He will have the free way to fully bless the trips.
  • The sanctifying Spirit will go before the saints to prepare the hearts of those the Lord has chosen.
  • The preaching of the gospel of the kingdom will be prevailing and reach all those the Lord desires to save.
  • Fruit, even remaining fruit, will be borne in each place visited, and the Lord will add to the churches as His testimony in each of these nations.
  • The Lord will fully cover the travel, safety, security, and health of all those involved.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Lord will keep all the saints in the involved countries open to Him for their experience of the divine dispensing in all the situations of their daily living.
  • The Lord will meet all the practical needs of the saints as the cold weather of winter settles in.
  • The brothers who are fighting in the war will be preserved by the Lord in their tripartite being.
  • The Lord will shepherd the refugees and establish them in the church life.
  • The local saints, serving ones, and trainees will be blended with the refugees by being through the cross and by the Spirit to minister Christ to one another for the building up of the Body.
  • The saints in the involved countries involved will be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man.
  • The tripartite being of saints in besieged cities will be protected and preserved for the Lord’s interests.
  • The Lord will comfort and sustain those who have lost loved ones in the war.
  • The enemy will be bound in his attack on the Lord’s interests in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.

Bangladesh

Pray for the ministry distribution to be strengthened that more young people who are seeking and yearning for the truth can be found.
