Rejecting Our Natural Being and Exercising Our Mingled Spirit

“For we are the circumcision, the ones who serve by the Spirit of God and boast in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh.” (Phil. 3:3)

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone wants to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.” (Matt. 16:24)

We need to see the difference between our natural ability and the ability that has passed through death and resurrection. We need to realize the impotence, the insufficiency, of our natural being and natural ability in the things of God. We should not have any trust in our natural being in the things of God; rather, we must learn to reject our natural being and exercise our spirit in everything for the organic building up of the Body of Christ.

In the Lord’s recovery today, we should pay our full attention to the mingled spirit, the Spirit mingled with our spirit, and should live, walk, and have our being in and according to this mingled spirit so that we can truly reign in life (Rom. 8:4; 5:10, 17). (CS 1 & 2 Kings, msg. 5, III.A, B, IV.E)

Life’s Washing in Love to Maintain Fellowship

“If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.” (John 13:14)

Who are the ones who need washing, and who are the ones who have to wash others’ feet? The Lord said, “You also ought to wash one another’s feet” (John 13:14). This tells us that we all need the washing. Those who were spiritually fresh but who have lost their freshness need the washing. Every one of us needs our feet washed, and every one of us needs to be prepared to wash others’ feet… Among all the services that Christians minister to one another, nothing is more crucial or more precious than foot-washing. “If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them” (v. 17).

In order to wash others’ feet, we must have the water; that is, we must be filled with the Holy Spirit and be in constant fellowship with the Lord. For this cause we must live in the Holy Spirit daily. Only then will we have the living water to wash others’ feet. Every time we come to the meeting, we must have the living water to wash others’ feet. (CWWN, vol. 42, pp. 240, 282)

Southern California College Conference

About 275 saints will gather at Oak Glen from November 6 to 8 for the first of two college conferences. This weekend’s conference is intended primarily for semester system schools. The messages on “Walking by Faith” will reveal the way to “walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham” (Rom. 4:12). From Los Angeles, approximately 20 saints from USC plan to attend.

Please pray that the Lord would grant each saint a personal appearing from the God of glory to be infused with Him as faith so that they can live a life of faith, trusting in God and being one with God to carry out His purpose on the earth. Also pray that the Lord would particularly shepherd all the students for whom this will be their first college conference. May they enjoy touching the Lord in their spirit and blending with students across Southern California.

Furthermore, this Lord’s Day, November 6 is the first deadline for UCLA and CSUN students to sign up for the second conference. Please pray for many to consecrate that weekend (November 18 to 20) to the Lord and pay the price to come and fellowship with Him in spirit on the mountain.

Germany and Switzerland

The two weeks of gospel trips, which concluded on October 23, had 90 local saints and 62 visitors participate in distributing 2627 NT Recovery Versions and nearly 18,000 tracts in at least 16 cities. Please continue to pray for:

  • Personal follow-up with the hundreds of people who gave their contact information.
  • The Lord to enlighten all who received a Bible or tract.
  • The saints in the churches to be brought into a regular gospel living.

Zürich, Switzerland

The resumption of the Lord’s table in Zürich, together with a mini-conference, will be held this weekend, November 5 to 6. Praise the Lord! Please pray that the Lord will advance His move in Europe through the blending of the saints, that the saints would gain a fresh vision of the Lord’s recovery, and that the Lord would have a wonderful new beginning of His testimony in the city of Zürich.

Rome, Italy

This week, from October 31 to November 4, there is a blending and gospel trip taking place in Rome. Please pray for the blending of the saints and the bearing of remaining fruit through the gospel for the strengthening of the Lord’s testimony in this city.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Russian and Ukrainian brothers fighting in the war will be preserved in their tripartite being.
  • The Lord will shepherd the refugees and establish them in the church life.
  • The local saints, serving ones, and trainees will be blended with the refugees by being through the cross and by the Spirit to minister Christ to one another for the building up of the Body.
  • The saints in Russia and Ukraine will be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man.
  • The tripartite being of saints in besieged cities will be protected and preserved for the Lord’s interests.
  • The enemy will be bound in his attack on the Lord’s interests in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.

Bangladesh

Last May, the church in Dhaka felt that the number of baptisms was very measly, so they desperately went before the Lord to ask for fruit. The Lord was faithful and the saints soon came in contact with a student who readily accepted to be baptized. This was a comfort and encouragement to the saints that nothing is impossible in the matter of propagation; we just need to persevere and be desperate before the Lord, to go before men, and to lead them to salvation through prayer, the Spirit, and the word. By the end of May, a total of 6 brothers and sisters had gotten saved and baptized. Hallelujah!
